Abstract

The demand for English-proficient nurses in global healthcare settings has led to the development of multiple Nursing-English learning platforms. However, the user experience (UX) of these platforms significantly impacts their effectiveness in language learning. This study aims to evaluate the UX of several Nursing-English platforms using two established usability measurement tools: the System Usability Scale (SUS) and the Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ). The primary objective is to uncover usability strengths and weaknesses across different platforms to improve the learning experience for nursing students. The research adopts a mixed-methods design, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection. A total of 109 nursing students from various universities in Sumatra, Indonesia, participated in this study. They were asked to use the Nursing-English platforms and evaluate them based on ease of use, system functionality, and information quality. The SUS provided an overall usability score for each platform, while the PSSUQ offered a more detailed breakdown across system usefulness, information quality, and interface quality. Results revealed an average SUS score of 84.85 across platforms, indicating a high level of user satisfaction. The PSSUQ scores corroborated these findings, with system usefulness and interface quality receiving the highest evaluations. The interactive content and relevance to nursing-specific language were highlighted as strengths, while areas for improvement included navigation and personalization features. Nursing-English platforms offer a generally positive user experience, with opportunities for optimization in user interface and learning customization. This study provides practical insights for enhancing Nursing-English learning tools to support students in preparing for global nursing careers.

Abstract

Abstract: Stroke is a condition where blood supply to the brain is disrupted, resulting in lack of oxygen, brain damage and loss of function. Post-stroke is the most difficult period for patients, they will experience disability and the inability to carry out activities as usual and they will have difficulty in self-care. To sustain life rehabilitation is an important component of post-stroke management. The rehabilitation therapy is to improve motor function, cognitive, emotional, psychological and social well-being. In reality there are many barriers for stroke survivors to access rehabilitation care face-to-face such as time restrictions, limited resources, geographical isolation, adherence to rehabilitation, and lack of awareness. One way to overcome access barriers is through technological innovation with tele-rehabilitation. The purpose of writing this literature review is to analyze the implementation of tele-rehabilitation in stroke patients. The data sources used are from databases such as PubMed, Proquest and Google Scholars. There were 21 relevant articles and 5 of them became the material for analysis in this study. The results of the review found that tele-rehabilitation could be a suitable choice as an alternative for post-stroke rehabilitation care for patients. This has potential implications for patients, especially in remote or underserved areas. Keywords:approach, tele-rehabilitation, stroke patients

Abstract

Background: Practice Of Providing Complementary Breast Milk (PPC-BM) plays an important role in supporting the growth and development of infants aged 6-12 months. WHO and the Indonesian Ministry of Health recommend providing PPC-BM that is timely, nutritious, safe, and meets standards. However, many mothers still face obstacles in providing optimal PPC-BM, especially due to lack of family support. Family support, especially from husbands, grandmothers, and other family members, greatly influences the success of PPC-BM practices. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and complementary feeding practices in infants aged 6-12 months in the Gulai Bancah Health Center working area, Bukittinggi City. Method: This study used a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. Samples were taken using cluster random sampling technique, with a total of 222 mothers with infants aged 6-12 months as respondents. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that measured family support (emotional, instrumental, information, and assessment) and complementary feeding practices. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test to see the relationship between variables. Conclusion: the results of the study showed that most mothers received family support in the good (54.1%), sufficient (36.0%), and less (9.9%) categories. The practice of providing complementary feeding by mothers was also mostly in the good (58.6%), sufficient (31.5%), and less (9.9%) categories. Statistical tests showed a significant relationship between family support and complementary feeding practices (p-value <0.05). Mothers who receive good family support are more likely to provide appropriate complementary feeding according to WHO and Indonesian Ministry of Health standards. Family support plays a crucial role in determining the success of complementary feeding practices that meet health standards. Suggestion: a family-based education strategy is needed through counseling programs, training of integrated health post cadres, and community-based interventions to increase family involvement in complementary feeding practices. Keywords: Family support, complementary feeding, provision practices, infants aged 6-12 months, pediatric nursing.
