Abstract

The study aims to determine the farmer's perception of agricultural extension video System of Rice Intensification (SRI) as a information medium of organic agricultural for farmers. This research was a descriptive case study approach. Implementation of the research was conducted using survey techniques to 30 farmers in the Andong village, Boyolali District. The results showed that 73.33% of respondents had a good perception of SRI video capabilities in attracting the attention of farmers, 70.00% of respondents had a good perception of the ability of SRI video shows the importance of organic farming, 73.33% of respondents had a good perception the ability of the video to shows the solution for farmers problem and 83.33% of respondents had a good perception of the SRI video capabilities in showing a clear process, the audio and visual was attractive and easy to understand. It was concluded that the farmers have a good perception of the agricultural extension SRI video is quite effective as a education medium of organic agricultural for the farmers that are containt of attention, needs, satisfaction and visualization. Expected media outreach video was capable of facilitating the dissemination of SRI among farmers.

Abstract

The digital economy (e-commerce) is an important tool to enhance SMEs, with various limitations, including digital literacy and SMEs owner characteristics. The novelty of this study is to provide a deeper understanding and new evidence of the linkage between digital literacy and e-commerce for SMEs. The future expected impact of this study is the government should facilitate and improve the level of digital literacy and e-commerce for SMEs. In particular, this study sets a question, namely: Does technology literacy lead the digital economy (e-commerce) for SMEs? Therefore, this study investigates the determinant factors of e-commerce by moderating variable of digital literacy among SMEs in the Malang region (Malang City, Malang Regency, and Batu City). The sample size is 43 respondents actively involved in business training and mentoring by SME associations, business incubators, and local governments. The respondents have social media and e-commerce to stimulate their sales. The sampling method was purposive sampling. The sample was collected through a survey during March - April 2024. Path analysis was applied to elaborate the study objectives. The findings reveal that the indicators constructing digital literacy and e-commerce are valid and reliable. The digital literacy was influenced by the age of SME owner and economic media. Besides, the digital literacy has a positive and significant impact on e-commerce at the 1% level. E-commerce is also determined by firm establishment. This condition means that an increase in the quality of digital literacy can lead to a rise in e-commerce utilisation. The implications of this study suggest that SME associations, business incubators and local governments facilitate the improvement of SMEs' digital literacy and their ability to utilise e-commerce appropriately to grow their businesses in the long term. In addition, SMEs should improve their digital business skills through various training and business mentoring conducted by local governments and business incubators.

Abstract

The production process of wood crafts for interior furniture leaves a lot of wood waste, where the remnants of wood pieces are pieces of wood that have a high selling price and if processed with a touch of art will be unique products with high economic value. Serenan Village is a village of furniture and carving centers that are rich in potential resources to produce products of high artistic value and economy. Seeing this potential, several efforts were made to empower the furniture and carving businessmen there in the form of several activities, among others, improving the quality and production capacity through the introduction of planer machines, improving the quality and variety of wood profiles by introducing router machines, processing wood waste into ashtrays carved and cigar places, skills improvement with design training, production and finishing processes and market expansion with the construction of a marketing website and participation in product exhibitions. With the Community Partnership Program activity, it can increase motivation for partners to continue to improve product competitiveness and continue to utilize existing waste into high-value products.

Abstract

Koperasi Sahabat Sejahtera as the division of post-harvest processing and marketing Appoli face some productions problems namely unavailability ofproduction equipment ranging from the drying process up to packaging. Postharvest equipment owned is the result of the hire from Tani Makmurusing system-processing services. This condition affected the efficiency of the business, the quantity of cooperative's income and the quantity of cooperative members. In order to overcome these problems some community services conducted as follows: (1) The introduction of post harvest handling technologies include: grading tool and blower mounted on a grading tool, table sorting, pallet, digital scales, water tested MD 7822; (2) increasing marketing quality through producing of a media campaign and improving the quality of the packages. The findings are Appoli able to increase production capacity and enhance its role in the development of organic rice and highly motivated to promote organic agriculture and increase farmers' income

Abstract

Furniture industry sector as a sector becomes the superior for developed countries in the state foreign exchange. Furniture industry products always have a higher exchange rate and profitable and can create greater value than other sectors. Furniture industry as one of the leading industries in Indonesia faces problems such as the weak competitiveness of SMEs actors in the factors of application of standard technological procedures, the process of technological mastery and business management. This is experienced by some SMEs furniture in Sukoharjo District, among them are UMKM Berkah Jaya Furniture and Totok Furniture. The activities undertaken to improve competitiveness include: (1) increasing the mastery of production technology and finishing UMKM partner furniture through the introduction of table spinser (combination of spindle and jigsaw machine) and finishing table (turntable); (2) increasing product value of both partners through mix media product training in accordance with market trends and the ability to conduct market surveys and develop networks through exhibition participation; and (3) improving business management of both partners through business assistance activities
