Abstract

In industry 4.0, the use of technology is increasing, especially in the field of education. The application of Virtual reality can be a modern technology-based teaching method, so that it can increase students' understanding of the history study program in learning local history in Pekanbaru. The research is a type of Research and Development, where the subject in this study is a student of the history study program at the University of Riau, with the object in the form of virtual reality based on local history. The analysis and evaluation of virtual reality uses observation and interview instruments, so that the results found are in the form of increased student understanding after using virtual reality in the classroom in local history learning.

Abstract

The background of this research is the current situation of students with bad personalities.Therefore, there is a need for programs and activities that can develop and shape good character in all students.The program was initiated by Pekanbaru Tarna Vocational School and named Imtaq Program.The purpose of this study is to examine the practice of character education through Imtaq activities at Pekanbar Tarna Vocational School.The type of research used by the authors in this study is a field study using qualitative methods.Data collection techniques currently in use include observation, interview, and documentation methods.The subjects of this study were Islamic religious education teachers, IMTAQ coordinator members, and students.Based on the findings, it is clear that the implementation of her Imtaq Student Character Implementation Program at Pekan Baltarna Vocational School was successfully implemented in accordance with the program set by the school.The Imtaq program allows students to express good character traits.

Abstract

The purpose of this service initiative is to enhance the knowledge and proficiency of High School and Equivalent Teachers in the Indragiri Hulu Regency. This is achieved through a Training Program focused on Developing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Questions for History Learning Materials at the High School and Equivalent Levels in Indragiri Hulu Regency. The instructional methods employed encompass lectures, question and answer sessions, trials/simulations, and workshops. The training outcomes indicate the successful realization of the objectives. This is evidenced by the enthusiastic participation of the training attendees during discussions and the positive results of assignments given by the presenters. These outcomes demonstrate an observable improvement in teachers' understanding and capacity to incorporate HOTS into learning outcomes questions.

Abstract

Membaca dapat diartikan sebagai kegiatan inti dalam kegiatan belajar Pembelajaran membaca memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa tulis pada setiap individu. Rendahnya tingkat literasi berdampak pada rendahnya minat baca seseorang. Rendahnya minat baca berdampak kepada bidang pendidikan, Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian meningkatkan minat baca masyarakat di desa Sungai Guntung Tengah. Metode penerapan kegiatan pengabdian dengan membuat pojok baca yang mengangkat tema sejarah dan memperkenalkan sejarah secara meluas melalui proses diskusi dan praktik. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini terbentuknya pojok baca sejarah yang dapat digunakan oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat dan menjadi sarana untuk menambah ilmu pengetahuan dan wawasan melalui buku-buku yang terdapat di pojok baca. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi penting dalam meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan literasi bagi anak-anak usia sekolah yang berada di desa Sungai Guntung Tengah.
