Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by stages such as chronic hyperglycemia with disturbances in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism caused by defects in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. Along with the development of science, there are many new discoveries that direct the treatment of diabetes by using functional foods and changing lifestyles, one of which is herbs. One of the herbs that can control blood sugar levels is to use zalacca peel herbs (Salacca Zalacca). Purpose, to analyze the bark of the fruit of Salak (Salacca Zalacca) as an anti-diabetic T2. Literature Review Design, Data source: Search using Porquest database, PubMed Central, Google Scholar, articles on topics published in Indonesian and English from 2018-2023. Method Review: Search for articles using PICOS with keywords that match the writing. Articles were selected by journal selection, abstract selection by inclusion criteria, exclusion so that journals were found that could be reviewed. Literature review results of 6 articles that have been selected and then categorized into 2 Characteristics of zalacca peel consisting of 3 articles Compounds in Salak Fruit Peel (Weningtyas et al., 2023), (Ermi Girsang., 2017), (Saleh et al., 2021 ) And 3 articles about zalacca peel as anti-diabetic (Marzuki et al., 2022), (Husnul Khotimah et al., 2021), (Silalahi et al., 2021). Overall conclusion Salak fruit peel is one of the herbal plants that has an antidiabetic effect. This is supported by the many compounds in salak skin that can treat diabetes. Salak bark acts as a lowering of blood sugar levels, an inhibitor of α-glucosidase, regeneration of β-pancreatic cells and an increase in insulin sensitivity

Abstract

Durasi tidur yang baik dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi secara optimal. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut adalah dengan baby massage karena dapat mempengaruhi kerja system saraf yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas tidur bayi sehingga mempunyai efek positif pada pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian baby massage terhadap durasi tidur bayi. Jenis penelitian ini quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah bayi usia 0-3 bulan dengan menggunakan 15 sampel, menggunakan teknik pengambilan secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian didapatkan durasi tidur bayi sebelum diberi baby massage durasi tidur kurang baik yaitu sebanyak 9 bayi (60,0%), sesudah diberi baby massage dengan durasi 15-30 menit memiliki durasi tidur yang baik yaitu sebanyak 12 bayi (80%), menunjukan bahwa nilai signifikan p value yaitu 0,000 < a (0,05), sehingga Ha diterima. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, ada Pengaruh Pemberian Baby Massage Terhadap Durasi Tidur Bayi di Hanika Baby care Kota Batam Tahun 2023. Disarankan kepada Masyarakat khususnya Orangtua untuk lebih memperhatikan pola tidur bayi dan pentingnya mengetahui durasi tidur yang baik karena hormon pertumbuhan diproduksi tiga kali lebih banyak saat tidur.

Abstract

Labor pain is needed to detect uterine contractions during childbirth, but pain also increases the mother's anxiety and fear during the birth process. Management of labor pain that can be done is birth ball therapy and hypnobirthing. The aim is to determine the difference in the effect of Birth Ball therapy and Hypnobirthing on reducing labor pain in the I phase active for maternity women in the working area of Puskesmas Sei Langkai Batam City. The design of this research is Quasi experimental with a Two-group interrupted time series design. Respondents were divided into 16 experimental groups and 16 control groups. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and data collection using observation sheet. The results of the study were (p = 0.305 > 0.05), meaning there was no significant difference between the birth ball and hypnobirthing groups in reducing pain, (p = 0.003 < 0.05) meaning there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores on pain reduction, (p = 0.718 > 0.05) meaning there is no interaction between group (birth ball and hypnobirthing) and score (pre-test and post-test) on reducing pain. Based on these results, it can be concluded that measurement time (pre-test and post-test) has a significant effect on pain scores, but there is no significant effect between different groups, and there is no significant interaction between group and time on reducing labor pain.

Abstract

A person is considered elderly if they have reached the age of 60 years or more. Elderly people will undergo a degenerative aging process, one of the changes that occurs in elderly people is in the cardiovascular system. Changes that occur in the heart of older people include thickening of the left ventricular wall and reduced elasticity of the heart muscle. This has an impact on the blood vessels of older people who are susceptible to hypertension. One way to overcome this problem is to do tera exercises as a non- pharmacological therapy. Tera gymnastics is a combination of breathing exercises and body movements. This counseling aims to determine the impact of tera exercise on reducing blood pressure in elderly people suffering from hypertension at the Posyandu Hall, Punggur RW 17 Plot, Nongsa District. This counseling uses a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest – posttest design. There were 25 elderly people who were respondents in this counseling

Abstract

Basic life support (BLS) is an action taken to increase the chan survival for cardiac arrest victims. The general public can per BLS with basic information and knowledge, because the succe BLS actions is influenced by knowledge and attitudes about Basic life support (BLS) is an action taken to increase the chan survival for cardiac arrest victims. The success of BLS actio influenced by knowledge and attitudes about BLS. This Comm Service Activity was carried out in Tanjung Pengapit, Batam in May 2025, the target of this Community Service activity w residents in Tanjung Pengapit, Batam City. The results obt were the level of knowledge of residents in the lecture and simul education group before being given BLS education, namely that were in the sufficient category as many as 19 respondents (6 While a small part was in the good category as many a respondents (37%). After being given BLS education and simula data was obtained on the level of student knowledge, most of were in the sufficient category, 26 respondents (87%). Meanwh small part was in the poor category, 4 respondents (13%).
