Abstract

Back Ground of dental health problems in children until now, is still very high. Several studies have reported that dental caries is still high and the lack of behavior to maintain dental and oral health is closely related to children's lack of knowledge. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the demonstration method and poster media on the knowledge of school-age children about dental and oral health. Method research pre-experimental (one group pre-post test design). The sample was 40 children in grades IV and V (total sampling) at SD GMIM 28 Manado City, which were divided into 2 groups. Group A used the demonstration method, group B used Poster media. Measurement of knowledge using a questionnaire with an intervention that is health education about dental and oral health, data analysis using the Paired Sample T Test. The Results of the statistical test analysis of group A obtained the mean value before the intervention was 20.05 and after the intervention became 25.80, with a Pvalue 0.000 (< 0.05). ). Group B got the mean before the intervention 20.45 and after the intervention 25.10 with a Pvalue 0.000 (<0.05). These results indicate that there is a significant difference in children's knowledge before and after education, both using demonstration methods and poster media. Conclusion Education using demonstration methods and poster media, is effective in increasing knowledge of school age children about dental and oral health.

Abstract

Background: The number of UTI sufferers in Indonesia is 95 cases, 104 residents per year or around 180,000 new cases per year. One of the factors causing UTI is the lack of knowledge about personal hygiene, especially in the urogenital area. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene knowledge and the incidence of UTI. Methods: Literature review, a comprehensive summary of several research studies based on themes. Literature search using PubMed and Google Scholar databases. The research design used a cross-sectional design, taken from articles published in 2015 to 2020. Results and analysis: the researchers found 5 articles that were feasible and met the inclusion criteria of the relationship between personal hygiene knowledge and the incidence of UTI. Discussion and conclusions: In this study, through these journals that have been identified and analyzed, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between personal hygiene knowledge and the incidence of urinary tract infections. Urinary tract infections can be experienced by children, adolescents, adults and the elderly, especially with various factors that can cause urinary tract infections such as gender, age, lack of drinking water, holding urine and so on. Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a condition where a person experiences an increase in blood pressure, which results in an increase in morbidity and mortality. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of health education on client knowledge about the prevention of hypertension. Methods: This study uses a type of literature review research, namely a study in the form of a literature review using the results of previous studies as well as textbooks or research journals. To obtain data that is in accordance with the topic, researchers conducted a search for national and international-based journals on two data bases, namely PubMed and Google Schoolar using the keywords health education, knowledge of hypertension, prevention of hypertension. The keywords used are listed in each journal title obtained, with the provisions of the journals searched since 2011-2020. The results obtained were 5 journals used for literature review. Conclusion: there is an effect of health education on client knowledge about hypertension prevention.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Preeklamsia merupakan hipertensi pada kehamilan yang ditandai dengan peningkatan tekanan darah lebih dari atau sama dengan 140/90 mmHg setelah umur kehamilan 20 minggu, disertai dengan proteinuria lebih dari 300 miligram per 24 jam. Preeklamsia dapat menimbulkan kecemasan pada ibu akan dampak yang dapat ditimbulkan dari preeklamsia, sebaliknya kecemasan juga dapat meningkatkan tekanan darah pada ibu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan gambaran efektifitas terapi musik dan guided imagery dalam menurunkan tingkat kecemasan ibu hamil dengan preeklamsia. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Peneliti melaksanakan asuhan keperawatan kepada ibu hamil dengan preeklamsia dan meingimplementasikan terapi musik dan guided imagery untuk mengurangi kecemasan ibu. Penetapan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi ibu hamil dengan preeklamsia berat disertai proteinuria serta menjalani program hingga selesai, sehingga didapatkan sampel sebanyak empat ibu hamil. Hasil: setelah diberikan intervensi terapi musik dan guided imagery selama tiga kali, terjadi penurunan tingkat kecemasan pada keempat ibu hamil yang mengalami preeklamsia. Tingkat kecemasan responden pertama menurun dari skor 27 (kecemasan sedang) menjadi 14 (kecemasan ringan). Responden kedua menurun dari skor 25 (kecemasan sedang) menjadi 14 (kecemasan ringan). Responden ketiga menurun dari skor 26 (kecemasan sedang) menjadi 13 (kecemasan ringan). Responden keempat menurun dari skor 26 (kecemasan sedang) menjadi 14 (kecemasan ringan). Hasil penelitian studi kasus memberikan gambaran bahwa penerapan terapi musik dan guided imagery dapat menurunkan tingkat kecemasan ibu hamil dengan preeklamsia setelah diberikan intervensi sebanyak tiga kali.
