Abstract

Some students in Madrasahs do not like Arabic because they think it is difficult and boring. In this regard, the description in this thesis departs from the problem of whether the Wordwall game-based learning model influences students' ability to master Arabic vocabulary. This type of research is a quasi-experimental involving two class VIII consisting of 68 students. Collecting data in this study used a test, namely the pretest to determine the initial ability and the posttest to determine the final ability. The results of the homogeneity test show that all data have homogeneous variants, as well as the normality test which shows that the data is normally distributed so that a hypothesis test is carried out using an independent t-test. The results of the Independent t-test showed sig 2 tailed 0.486 > 0.05, which means that H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected, which means that there is no effect of the Wordwall game-based learning model on the ability of students in mastering Arabic vocabulary for class VIII MTs Negeri 2 Palu City. The conclusions obtained are expected that educators use appropriate learning models to improve the quality of learning. For future researchers to be able to develop research using variables that are considered to have an influence on the level of mastery of students' Arabic vocabulary and choose the right learning model so that they can influence the improvement of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the impact of the discovery learning model on students' scientific literacy skills concerning the topics of temperature and heat expansion in the seventh grade at MTs Negeri 3 Palu. The research employs a quantitative methodology featuring a quasi-experimental design that utilizes pretest and posttest measures in non-equivalent control group design. Class VII A serves as the experimental group, while class VII C acts as the control group, with participants selected through purposive sampling. The assessment tools consist of a multiple-choice pretest and posttest, comprising a total of 15 items. Data were analyzed utilizing a paired samples t-test. The results indicate that the significance value for students' scientific literacy skills is 0.00 (2-tailed), which is lower than the 0.05 threshold. This suggests that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model significantly impacts seventh-grade students' scientific literacy skills on the topics of temperature and heat expansion at MTs Negeri 3 Palu.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain in-depth information about the skills of traditional fisherwomen in processing marine products, and the knowledge of fisherwomen groups is very minimal as a reaction of humans to stimuli by the surrounding nature. The type of research is descriptive qualitative with data analysis carried out in four stages; data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Additionally, data triangulation is used to strengthen the findings. The study reveals that to enhance the skills of fisherwomen on both islands in processing seafood, focused training sessions and group assistance are essential. These efforts aim to improve their capacity to utilize fish resources to create products such as shredded fish, fish nuggets, and fish balls, which can serve as a valuable source of supplementary income. Moreover, the limited knowledge of these fisherwomen indicates the need for further support, particularly in introducing techniques for effective product marketing. By facilitating both skill-building and marketing strategies, this research highlights the potential for empowering fisherwomen through initiatives that not only enhance their productivity but also contribute to the economic sustainability of their communities.
