Abstract

A microgravity investigation on bedrock topography was conducted at Maluri Park in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The study characterized the subsurface structure to delineate soil structure for the geotechnical application. Cross-section modelling of the residual anomaly generated the Maluri Bouguer Anomaly model for test site. The 2D microgravity models produced the contour map, displaying the characterization due to density contrast in rock types while mapping the subsurface geological structure at different depths. Moreover, a synthetic model was initiated with the assumption of lateral distance on the left and right sides taken at 50 m and a depth of 60 m. The results of modeling confirmed that the soil and rock type composition on models test site, i.e: topsoil (1.1 g/cm3), soil (1.8 g/cm3), clay (1.63 g/cm3), gravel (2.0 g/cm3), sand (1.7 g/cm3), shale (2.40 g/cm3), sandstone (2.76 g/cm3) and limestone (2.9 g/cm3). The 2D gravity synthetic model show a good match with the observed microgravity data.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the relationship between teacher performance and learning outcomes in high school students in Kendari. The research method used is descriptive correlative with the sampling technique using proportionate stratified random sampling. The research instrument is using a questionnaire of physics teacher for grade XII high school and the results of national exam the 2018/2019 academic years, by respondents consisting of 15 teachers and 692 students. Data analysis uses pearson product moment correlations. The results are showed that teacher performance has a linear correlation of student learning outcomes with a correlation value (r) of 0.533 or 53.33% and 46.67% determined by other factors such as: the hierarchical relationship between the head master by teachers and staff, who are not established yet. On the other hand, management of school organization is not optimal. The results of this study can be used as a basic for policy making for the Education and culture office in Kendari city to apply the relationship patterns of  teacher performance and student learning achievement.

Abstract

The aim of study is to investigate the impact whatsapp-blended learning implementation of SMKN 2 Kendari student’s understanding of electricity learning. The study is quantitative research with pre-experimental way while using one group pretest-posttest design of research. Moreover, a research sample is taken by the method of probability sampling which is kind of simple random sampling. A technique of data collecting uses to test and non-test (questioner). A technique of data analysis uses descriptive statistic and inferential statistic. The results of this study show that the average value of student’s abilities to understand the physic concept on pre-test which is representatively 43.72, while in the post-test it is 88.00 while in the post-test it is 88.00 with an average n-gain of 0.78. The study shows that blended learning application generally takes a great response of students, which stood on 64.48% of the average scores.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat fisis aspal buton (asbuton) melalui penerapan metoda geolistrik (resistivitas) dikorelasikan dengan kadar bitumen asbuton melalui proses ekstraksi & destilasi, dan diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengolahan data dan desain survey di lapangan serta membantu dalam interpretasi, dimana hal ini sangat penting untuk eksplorasi Aspal Buton. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kecenderungan parameter fisis yang terukur terhadap kadar bitumen asbuton yaitu kenaikan kadar bitumen asbuton dapat dikarakteristik dengan bertambahnya resistivitas (2,0.105 – 6,1.105) ohm meter.

Abstract

Studi ini mendeskripsikan karakteristik fisis batuan aspal alam di Pulau Buton yang didasarkan pada gugus fungsi hidrokarbon dengan metode Fourier Transform Infrared (FITR) dan karakteristik morfologi permukaan batuan aspal buton (asbuton) menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Adanya senyawa penyusun bitumen aspal dibuktikan dengan melihat hasil spektra FTIR. Kedua teknik ini diharapkan memberikan konstribusi penting terhadap karakterisistik fisis batuan aspal di pulau Buton. Sampel dalam studi ini berupa bongkahan batuan asbuton yang diambil dari kawasan Kecamatan Lasalimu Kabupaten Buton berdasarkan Formasi Tondo, Formasi Wapulaka, dan Alluvium. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa gugus fungsi yang terdapat pada sampel batuan asbuton pada umumnya memiliki gugus fungsi CN, CH aromatik dan alifatik, S=O, C=C aromatik, C=O, OH dan NH. Struktur morfologi permukaan sampel menunjukan adanya gumpalan-gumpalan halus yang mencirikan ikatan kuat dari unsur/senyawa yang terdapat di dalam batuan dan gumpalan kasar yang berwarna putih yang mencirikan adanya kandungan kalsium karbonat (CaCO3).

Abstract

Fenomena geologi yang berhubungan dengan aspek bentang alam di daerah Mawasangka Timur, Kabupaten Buton Tengah, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara mempunyai fitur yang beragam dan secara umum disusun oleh satuan batugamping Formasi Wapulaka yang berumur Pleistosen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi potensi keragaman geologi (geodiversity) yang mendasarkan pada aspek bentang alam karst dan pantai. Fitur keragaman geologi di kawasan karst mencakup baik gejala endokarst seperti gua dan ragam jenis hiasan gua di dalamnya maupun gejala exokarst seperti bukit pepino, dolina, dan akumulasi air di lekuk dolina yang membentuk danau. Di kawasan pantai terjadi sedimentasi pasir putih di pantai landai yang penyebarannya membentuk spit, serta undak-pantai, stack, notches dan sea-cave. Aneka fitur fenomena geologi yang terinvetarisasi tersebut didukung oleh struktur geologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah melakukan inventarisasi melalui pemetaan keragaman geologi, yaitu berupa pengambilan data lapangan meliputi, litologi, geomorfologi, dan struktur geologi, yang dilengkapi informasi titik koordinat lokasi dan potret). Keragaman geologi tersebut tersebar di seluruh wilayah penelitian, terutama di bagian selatan dan timur.   Kata Kunci: Keragaman geologi, Wapulaka, karst, dolina, gua, Mawasangka Timur.     Abstract- Geological phenomena related to landscape aspects in the East Mawasangka area, Central Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province have diverse features, which mainly composed of limestones unit of the Pleistocene Wapulaka Formation. This study aims to inventory the potential of geological diversity based on aspects of karst and coastal landscapes. Features of geological diversity in karstic areas include both endokarst phenomena such as caves and various types of cave decoration as well as exokarst phenomena such as pepino hills, doline, and water accumulation in doline depression that form lakes. In the coastal area, white sand sedimentation occurs on sloping beaches that spread to form spits, as well as coastal terraces, stacks, notches, and sea caves. The various features of the inventoried geological phenomena are supported by geological structures. The research method used was to conduct an inventory through geological diversity mapping, in the form of field data collection (lithology, geomorphology, geological structure, location coordinates, and portraits). The geological diversity is spread throughout the study area, especially in the south and east.   Keywords: Geodiversity, Wapulaka, karst, doline, cave, East Mawasangka.
