Abstract

Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP-UNIQHBA memiliki beberapa sekolah binaan yang fokus dalam meningkatkan Literasi Numerasi siswa. Salah satu sekolah binaan adalah MA. Darul Hikmah Darek, Lombok Tengah. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk: 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa terhadap  literasi numerasi; 2) meningkatkan gemar literasi numerasi bagi siswa; 3) meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa terhadap manfaat literasi numerasi dalam kehidupan. Metode pelaksanaan yaitu memberikan pendampingan dan pelatihan tentang penggunaan konsep matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara tatap muka yang diikuti oleh 35 orang siswa dari kelas X, XI dan 3 orang guru matematika. Hasil dari evaluasi kegiatan yaitu 1) adanya pemahaman siswa tentang penggunaan konsep matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari; 2) adanya peningkatan motivasi dan minat siswa untuk belajar matematika; 3) indikator ketercapaian pelaksanaan rata-rata 92,8 % berada pada kriteria sangat baik. Foster Schools "Improving Students' Numerical Literacy" The FKIP-UNIQHBA Mathematics Education Study Program has several target schools that focus on improving student Numeracy Literacy. One of the target schools is MA. Darul Hikmah Darek, Central Lombok. This Community Service is carried out aimed at: 1) increasing students' knowledge of numeracy literacy; 2) increase the love of numeracy literacy for students; 3) increase students' knowledge of the benefits of numeracy literacy in life. The implementation method is to provide assistance and training on the use of mathematical concepts in everyday life. This activity was carried out face-to-face which was attended by 35 students from classes X, XI and 3 mathematics teachers. The results of the evaluation of activities are 1) students' understanding of the use of mathematical concepts in everyday life; 2) there is an increase in student motivation and interest in learning mathematics; 3) The average implementation achievement indicator of 92.8% is on the very good criteria.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that students’ mathematical communication skills are still not optimal, particularly in representing mathematical ideas, using mathematical symbols and notations appropriately, and explaining problem-solving procedures systematically. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving 16 tenth-grade students. Data were collected through written tests, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students’ mathematical communication skills were at a moderate level. Of the 16 students, 3 students (16.75%) were categorized as high, 10 students (62.5%) as moderate, and 3 students (20.75%) as low. High-category students were able to communicate ideas systematically and explain procedures clearly, while moderate and low-category students still faced difficulties in representation, notation use, and procedural explanation. Thus, mathematical communication skills in exponents and logarithms need further improvement.

Abstract

Mathematics is basically dominated by arithmetic operations, both addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, so if students want to master mathematics then students must be able to count correctly. One method that can be applied to train students' counting skills is by using the jarimatika method. This PKM activity aims to train fast and accurate counting skills in mathematics learning for grade V SDN Bagu. The method used in the PKM activity is the lecture and demonstration method. In addition to seeing the results of this PKM, an evaluation was carried out by looking at the responses of students after this PKM activity was carried out. The results of the PKM activity were the responses of most students or more than more than 80% of students gave a very good response to this PKM activity, students felt that counting using Jarimatika became easy and counting became faster and more accurate.

Abstract

Algebraic thinking is crucial for assisting students in the mathematics learning process. Algebraic thinking is the process by which students solve problems, identify problems, and present them mathematically in mathematics learning. Generalization is part of algebraic thinking and is an essential component of the educational curriculum. However, there are several obstacles and challenges in students' algebraic thinking, particularly in generalizing patterns. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze junior high school students' algebraic thinking skills in solving pattern generalization problems. This study is a descriptive qualitative study, where the results are in the form of descriptions of students' algebraic thinking skills. The results of this study indicate that subjects with high-level algebraic thinking skills tend to generalize factually and symbolically, and the data fulfills all indicators of algebraic thinking. Subjects with moderate algebraic thinking skills only tend to generalize factually and only fulfill some algebraic thinking skills. Subjects with low algebraic skills tend to have difficulty generalizing patterns and only fulfill a few algebraic thinking skills.
