Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that influence Vaname Shrimp Production in Intensive cultivation and Super Intensive cultivation in Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. This research was carried out in February 2003 - March 2023 at Percut Sei Tuan District. This research was carried out purposively (purposive sampling) involving 42 vaname shrimp farmers. Data was obtained through interviews, observations and surveys using a research questionnaire. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis with the Douglas Coob approach. The results of this research show that based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis using the Douglas Coob approach for intensive cultivation, it was concluded that there were no variables that had a significant effect on vaname shrimp production. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis tests using the Coob Douglas approach for the super intensive cultivation type, it was concluded that the variables number of fry, amount of feed and number of workers had a positive and significant effect on vaname shrimp production.

Abstract

Artikel atau tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis biaya produksi pada pengolahan ubi kayu menjadi tepung tapioka dan menganalisis seberapa besar pendapatan dan nilai tambah yang dihasilkan dari proses pengolahan ubi kayu (Manihot esculenta) menjadi tepung tapioka. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada UD Ziad di Desa Cempedak Lobang, Kecamatan Sei Rampah, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai, dengan fokus pada peningkatan nilai tambah dalam industri pertanian, khususnya dalam hal pengolahan produk pertanian menjadi barang olahan yang memiliki umur simpan lebih lama dan nilai ekonomi yang lebih tinggi. Data-data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, kuesioner, studi literatur dan dianalisis secara kualitatif.  Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Pengolahan ubi kayu menjadi tepung tapioka menghasilkan total biaya produksi Rp 9.921.618. Dari 2.857 kg produk, total penerimaan mencapai Rp 24.713.050. Setelah menambahkan pendapatan dari ampas sebesar Rp 1.050.000, pendapatan bersih adalah Rp 15.841.432. Nilai tambah per kilogram adalah Rp 2.497, dengan rasio 60,61%, dan keuntungan bersih per kilogram mencapai Rp 2.363 (57,37%). Marjin per kilogram adalah Rp 2.704, dengan keuntungan pemilik perusahaan sebesar 87,40%. Analisis ini menunjukkan potensi keuntungan yang signifikan.

Abstract

In the realm of sustainable agriculture and rural development, agrotourism emerges as a promising avenue for economic growth and community empowerment. This study delves into the potential of agrotourism in North Sumatra, particularly focusing on its physical and non-physical attributes as well as community-based empowerment strategies. The background elucidates the global rise of agritainment activities and the growing significance of agrotourism in Asian countries. Despite the prevalence of agrotourism in Indonesia, North Sumatra has yet to fully harness its potential, with limited development observed in the region. To address this gap, the study employs a mixed-methods approach, utilizing quantitative methods to quantify physical and non-physical potentials, followed by qualitative analysis to explore community-based agrotourism potential. The findings underscore North Sumatra's abundant natural resources, diverse agricultural commodities, and existing social institutions as key drivers for agrotourism development. Moreover, the study highlights the importance of community participation and empowerment in fostering sustainable agrotourism practices. By leveraging these potentials and fostering community engagement, North Sumatra can pave the way for inclusive economic growth, tourism enhancement, and community development. This research contributes to the understanding of agrotourism development strategies and holds implications for sustainable rural development globally.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze entrepreneurial characteristics, business success, and the influence of entrepreneurial characteristics on business success. The number of samples in this research was 38, using a purposive sampling method. The research results show that the average score level on the entrepreneurial characteristics indicator is 148.8, with a percentage of 78.2% (high category). Not only that, but business success also has an average score of 134.3 with a rate of 70.6% (high category), and there is a significant influence between Entrepreneurial Characteristics (KW) and Business Success (KU). The t-statistical value of Entrepreneurial Characteristics (KW) on Business Success (KU) is 28.476, more significant than the t-table 1.68. This means there is a substantial difference of 28.476 between the average of the two variables and the relationship between them. Apart from that, the resulting research p-value of 0.000 is smaller and much lower than the alpha value (0.05), which means it is significant and rejects H0. The suggestions in this research are for online fresh fruit and vegetable business actors to improve their management skills and strategies in running their businesses and further improve strategies in utilizing the technology used in promotions to attract customer attention. Buy and be better able to market their products inside and outside the city by becoming entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurial characteristics have a significant influence on business success.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik konsumen yang melakukan pembelian beras porang dan menganalisis faktor faktor mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian beras porang di Brastagi Supermarket Gatot Subroto. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Brastagi Supermarket pada bulan Oktober-November 2024. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah konsumen yang melakukan pembelian beras porang. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode Accidental sampling Jumlah sampel yang dibutuhkan adalah 40 responden Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan kusioner. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan software SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden pada penelitian ini didominasi oleh perempuan, mayoritas berusia 50-59 tahun, pekerjaan Pegawai Negeri/BUMN dengan tingkat pendapatan Rp.3.000.000-Rp.3.900.000. Frekuensi pembelian beras porang 2 kali dalam sebulan. Beras porang yang sering dibeli adalah Brand Fukumi. Faktor faktor mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian beras porang adalah kualitas produk dan lokasi.Kata Kunci: Keputusan pembelian, beras porang, kualitas produk, harga.AbstractThis research aimed to describe the characteristics of consumers who purchased porang rice and analyze the factors influencing the purchasing decisions of porang rice at Brastagi Supermarket Gatot Subroto. The research was conducted at Brastagi Supermarket in October–November 2024. The population consisted of consumers who purchased porang rice. The sampling method used was accidental sampling, with a total of 40 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires. The analysis method used was multiple linear regression with SPSS 26 software. The results showed that the respondents were mostly female, aged 50–59 years, working as civil servants or employees of state-owned enterprises, with incomes ranging from Rp.3,000,000 to Rp.3,900,000. The purchase frequency of porang rice was twice a month. The most frequently purchased brand was Fukumi. The factors influencing purchasing decisions were product quality and location.Keywords: Purchase decision, porang rice, product quality, price.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the segmentation of agro-tourism tourists based on paddy fields in Deli Serdang Regency. The method used was a systematic literature review by analyzing 32 scientific articles indexed by Scopus and Sinta in the period 2015-2024. The results showed that the segmentation of wet-rice agro-tourism tourists can be divided based on four main factors: demographic, geographic, psychographic, and behavioral. Based on visit motivation, tourists can be segmented into educational seekers, recreational seekers, authenticity seekers, and social media enthusiasts. Based on behavior, tourists are divided into visitors with short, medium, and long visit durations, and based on transportation mode (private vehicle, public transportation, and organized tour). This research provides implications for the development of marketing strategies and management of agro-tourism based on paddy fields in Deli Serdang Regency that are more focused according to the characteristics of the tourist segment, to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of agro-tourism destinations.

Abstract

The natural conditions of Indonesia with different climate potentials and altitudes provide great potential for developing tropical fruits. Starfruit is widely found in tropical areas and is very popular among the community, especially in Durin Simbelang Village, Pancur Batu District. The purpose of this study was to determine the cost structure, revenue and income of starfruit farmers. This study used a purposive sampling method in the form of a census of starfruit farmers, namely 23 people and the determination of the research location was deliberate because this area is one of the starfruit producing areas in North Sumatra which is known for its starfruit quality. The data collection methods used were questionnaires and field observations. The data analysis tools used were cost, revenue and income structures. The results of this study obtained an average starfruit production of 4,691 kg / harvest season with a selling price of Rp. 5,000 / kg so that the average income obtained was Rp. 23,456,521. The cost of expenditure per harvest season was Rp. 3,025,305, so from these costs the average income of starfruit farmers was Rp. 20,431,216. In farming, the income obtained by star fruit farmers can be said to be high.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparison of income, efficiency, and use of farming inputs between chili and tomato intercropping patterns and chili and tomato monoculture in Gong Pinto Village, Karo Regency. The method used is a quantitative descriptive method with a case study research type and the research subjects become informants who will provide various information needed during the research process. The results of this study show The results of the study show that the average total production of chili and tomato intercropping farmers reached 5,120.50 kg with an income of Rp. 53,765,250.00 and a total cost of Rp. 28,054,523.83, so that the net income obtained was Rp. 25,710,726.17. Meanwhile, chili monoculture farmers produced an average of 3,850 kg with an income of Rp. 40,425,000.00 and a total cost of Rp. 23,678,125.00, resulting in a net income of Rp. 16,746,875.00. The income per hectare of intercropping is higher than monoculture, which is Rp. 25,710,726.17 compared to Rp. 16,746,875.00. The results of the t-test show a calculated t value of 2.640 which is greater than the t table of 2.262, which confirms that there is a significant difference in income between the two farming systems. This study concludes that intercropping chili and tomato farming is more profitable than chili monoculture, with higher income and statistically significant differences.

Abstract

Kangkung rendang is an innovative processed product produced from hydroponic kale, providing added value and increasing producer income. This study aims to analyze the effect of e-commerce usage on increasing sales of kale rendang at Syifa Hidroponik MSMEs. The study uses quantitative methods with simple linear regression analysis to measure the effect of e-commerce. This study uses primary data conducted by means of surveys and interviews with consumers, the number of respondents in this study was 30 respondents. Data were analyzed with the help of SPSS Software. The results showed that the use of e-commerce significantly increased the effectiveness of marketing and sales of kale rendang products, thus having a positive impact on MSME income. t-hit and Sig. (p-value): Shows the statistical significance of the coefficient. If the p-value 0.05, then it can be said that the effect of e-commerce on sales is significant. Therefore, the data in this study is significant and e-commerce has an effect on increasing sales because the value of E-Commerce (X) in Sig. (p-value) is 0.002.
