Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the perception of Muslim tourists on the services provided by the management of religious tourism, as well as what service indicators should be the main priority and maintained in providing full service to tourists. Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA) is the quantitative analysis approach used in this study. This analysis finds that tourist perceptions and preferences have an average degree of fit at 96%, indicating that the level of satisfaction with the quality of religious tourism services is relatively high. Furthermore, based on the study of the Cartesian diagram, two indicators demand more attention due to poor performance, i.e., (a) officers' response to tourist needs and (b) their competency to carry out their duties properly. Generally, visitors have given positive feedback, so management must maintain facilities and services.

Abstract

Purpose - This research aims to estimate the magnitude of the influence of assets measured using firm size and company profits measured by financial performance on the volatility of Sharia and non-sharia stock prices. Through this research, it is hoped that investors will be able to assess the company's achievements and anticipate investment failures in the future.Method - Quantitative research using a regression analysis approach by comparing two research subjects, namely non-shariah shares LQ45 and sharia shares JII30. This data collection is complemented by library research.Result - The results obtained are that Financial Performance and Firm Size have an influence on share price volatility, in both Sharia and non-sharia stocks. In general, these two stocks found fluctuating data on Financial Performance and Firm Size, followed by rises and falls in share prices. This study is proven by theoretical results, statistical analysis results, and financial data recapitulation results.Implication - The existence of a significant relationship between these variables provides information for investors in making investment decisions, where fundamental analysis can be carried out by looking at the financial reports of the target company (issuer) without forgetting the analysis of Financial Performance and Firm Size data.Originality - Research comparing Sharia and non-sharia stock indices is still rarely done because many previous studies only focused on one index.

Abstract

Religious moderation has become an urgent issue in Indonesia’s educational context, particularly in fostering tolerance and preventing radicalism among students. Schools play a crucial role in shaping students’ perspectives on religious diversity, with Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers serving as key agents in instilling moderation values. However, the implementation of religious moderation in schools faces various challenges, including curriculum constraints, sociocultural influences, and students’ diverse backgrounds. This study aims to analyze the specific strategies employed by IRE teachers in fostering religious moderation, the challenges they encounter, and the impact of their efforts on students. Using a qualitative research method with a social phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving IRE teachers and students in a senior high school in Banten, Indonesia. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify recurring patterns and key themes related to religious moderation practices. The findings indicate that IRE teachers implement religious moderation through interactive teaching methods, interfaith dialogues, and role-modeling behaviors that emphasize tolerance and balance. However, challenges such as limited institutional support, resistance from certain groups, and a lack of comprehensive training hinder the effectiveness of these efforts. Despite these obstacles, the study highlights the positive influence of IRE teachers in fostering an inclusive and harmonious school environment. The implications of this research suggest the need for more structured teacher training programs, curriculum adjustments to integrate religious moderation effectively, and policy support from educational institutions. These findings contribute to the broader discourse on religious moderation and provide practical recommendations for improving Islamic education in diverse learning environments.

Design/methodology/approach: Using a qualitative descriptive research method, this study examines how both countries develop the halal economic ecosystem through aspects of demand, government support, and the availability of halal products. Findings: The results indicate the growth of the halal economic ecosystem, which requires approaches in terms of demand, support, and supply. Abstract

Earlier studies on banking efficiency during the COVID-19 period have not considered the issue of service coverage due to work restrictions through PPKM and the trend of digitizing services. This study aims to map the efficiency of Islamic banks during a pandemic from a production perspective by utilizing labor, the number of offices, and equity as input variables. The output variable represents the bank's ability to generate total financing and operating income. The efficiency analysis in this study uses a Variable Return to Scale (VRS) approach by using secondary data in the form of financial reports and annual reports of 14 Islamic commercial banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in the 2019-2021 period. The findings in the study are that, in general, most Islamic banks can maintain their productivity and efficiency during the pandemic. There was a decline in efficiency in 2020 but improved again in 2021. Islamic banks with the most service coverage and large business sizes, such as BSI (BNIS, BRIS, BSM) and BTPNS were able to keep their efficiency. Surprisingly, BMI maintained efficiency in 2019-2020 but experienced a significant decline in 2021. The practical implication of this research is that most Islamic banks can keep their performance during pandemics driven by various macroprudential policies and digital adaptation. Furthermore, it is recommended that the direction of efficiency projection is from the input side, such as employee reduction.

Abstract

Investment in Islamic financial instruments, such as cash waqf linked deposit (CWLD), is the latest innovation of social investment issued by the Indonesian Waqf Agency, but investment decisions in this product are influenced by various factors, such as individual religiosity, financial literacy, risk perception, and risk tolerance. These factors are known to play an important role in investment decisions, but there have been no studies that test its influence on investment decision-making in CWLD. This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity, financial literacy, risk perception, and risk tolerance on investment decision-making in cash waqf linked deposit (CWLD) products. A quantitative approach was used in this study with a survey method through a questionnaire distributed to 150 respondents of a sample of banking employees at two different banks. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Square method to test the influence of each independent variable partially and simultaneously on the dependent variable. The results of the study show that religiosity, financial literacy, risk perception, and risk tolerance have a significant and simultaneous influence on investment decision-making in Cash Waqf Linked Deposit (CWLD). Religiosity and risk perception have a strong positive influence on investment decision-making. Meanwhile, financial literacy and risk tolerance have a more limited influence on investment decision-making. In conclusion, religiosity, financial literacy, risk perception, and risk tolerance have a positive and simultaneous influence on investment decision-making in Cash Waqf Linked Deposit (CWLD).
