Abstract

Abstract. Accumulator or battery is a device that can store energy (generally electrical energy) in the form of chemical energy. The batteries that are widely used by the community are dry batteries and wet batteries. Use it continuously will be aware of events anywhere. In Indramayu there is still a lot of used battery waste that is not treated properly and properly. This can cause pollution to the environment, so there is a need for management of used battery waste. The purpose of this final project is to determine the percentage of use of dry and wet batteries in motorized vehicles, the performance of dry and wet batteries in motorized vehicles, the waste generated by dry and wet batteries, waste management of dry and wet batteries in motor vehicles and to find out type of battery that is friendly to the environment. The implementation of the final task is carried out by collecting literature, surveys and interviews. From the results of the survey, it was stated that 75% of students and the academic community of Akamigas Balongan used dry batteries and 25% used wet batteries. The performance of dry and wet batteries is the same using the principle of emptying and charging. As for the most waste generated from dry batteries. Waste generated by dry and wet batteries, namely liquid and solid waste comes from used battery containers and lead/liquid, where each waste has its own management. From this study, the type of battery that is environmentally friendly is dry battery with a survey percentage of 80%. Keywords: accumulator, wet accu, dry accu, environmentally friendly accu, waste

Abstract

Pusat Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Minyak dan Gas (PPSDM Migas) is a training and education institution located at Jalan Sorogo No. 1, Karangboyo Village, Cepu District, Blora Regency, Central Java Province. This research was carried out on November 01-30, 2023 at the PPSDM Migas Cepu Refinery Unit which focuses on heating equipment, namely the Furnace. Furnace is an advanced heating device in the refinery unit to heat crude oil with an output temperature of 330 - 350°C. The purpose this research is to calculate the variables that support the calculation of Furnace performance efficiency, calculate and know the efficiency value of Furnace-03, and know the things that affect the efficiency of furnace performance. Supporting variables in the calculation of Furnace efficiency in the form of Specific Gravity, 60 ° F Density, °API, and K-UOP values, the results obtained for Fuel Oil are 0.891, 890.294 kg/m3, 27.278, and 11.884, respectively. Whereas the values for Crude Oil are 0.839, 837.934 kg/m3, 37.217, and 12.048, respectively. The results of the calculation of the efficiency of Furnace-03 were obtained at 57.37% so that Furnace-03 was not suitable for operation. Where to achieve good efficiency the things that need to be considered are parameters, such as temperature and flow, as well as the age of the equipment.

Abstract

Jerami padi memiliki prospek signifikan sebagai sumber bahan baku energy terbarukan. Salah satu teknologi konversi yang dapat diterapkan adalah proses pirolisis, yang menghasilkan bio-oil sebagai produk utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh perbedaan massa umpan jerami terhadap rendemen (Yield) dan karakteristik fisikokimia bio-oil yang dihasilka. Variasi massa yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan variasi massa 250 g, 500 g dan 1000 g. parameter yang dianalisis meliputi nilai Ph, densitas, dan persentase yield bio-oil, serta komposisi kimia. Analisis komposisis senyawa dilakukan menggunakan instrument Gas Pengujian senyawa dilakukan melalui metode Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa yield tertinggi diperoleh pada massa umpan 500 g sebesar 17,31%. Densitas tertinggi sebesar 1,020 g/Ml, sedangkan nilai pH terendah sebesar 3,4 mengindikasikan bahwa bio-oil yang dihasilkan bersifat asam. Analisis GC-MS mengidentifikasi bahwa senyawa dominan dalam bio-oil Asam asetat dengan persentase 54,80%, disertai keberadaan senyawa volatile seperti alcohol dan ester yang berkontribusi terhadap karakteristik pembakaran. Dengan demikian variasi massa umpan berpengaruh terhadap nilai yield serta karakteristik fisik dan kimia bio-oil yang dihasilkan.
