Abstract

Oral and dental health education aims to increase knowledge that leads to better dental and oral health behaviors. Parents play an important role in children's behavior to maintain dental and oral health. Lack of behavior to maintain healthy teeth can be caused by low knowledge of dental and oral health. This activity aim to provide dental and oral health education to parents of students in Taam Avicenna Surabaya playgroup. This activity was carried out by providing dental health education media such as flipcharts, posters, and dental phantoms. Then post-test was given to the participants. Questionnaires regarding the behavior of maintaining dental and oral health were also given. The results showed that the understanding of parents with good categories was more than those with moderate and low categories. This means that some parents can receive dental health education well. Providing dental health education has a positive impact on understanding and knowledge of dental and oral health in parents. It can be concluded that by giving dental health education for parents of students in Taam Avicenna Surabaya playgroup, could enhance understanding and knowledge of dental and oral health so that it could help parents to improve behavior in oral and dental health.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy with problem focused coping on crew members of KRI 'X' Indonesian Navy with Single status in Surabaya. Respondent ABK KRI 'X' Indonesian Navy in Surabaya who has a single status. A total of 60 respondents were selected using a saturated sampling technique. The scale used in this study is the hardiness scale, self-efficacy scale, and problem focused coping scale. The analysis technique used is product moment correlation and multiple correlation. The results showed that there was a simultaneous relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy with problem focused coping. The findings also show that hardiness and self-efficacy show a positive direction towards problem focused coping. The results of this study can be used as a reference related to the problem of problem focused coping on crew members of the KRI Navy who are single.

Abstract

Childbirth are usually eager to take care of their babies, but some mothers don’t manage to adjust and experience psychological disorders. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-adjustment and husband's social support with BBS in primipara mothers. The research used correlational quantitative. Respondents in this study were 40 childbirth to primipara. The sampling technique used saturated sampling. The results show there is a strong relationship between self-adjustment and husband's social support with BBS in primipara mothers. There is a strong relationship between self-adjustment and husband's social support with BBS in primipara mothers. This research shows the importance of preparation for mothers who have just given birth. Husbands also play an important role for mothers who have just given birth and need to provide support in the form of attention and support for assistance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-adjustment, peer social support and student well-being in Students of the Vocational Shipping Faculty, Hang Tuah University. The research method used is quantitative. The analysis used multiple correlation. The number of respondents in this study were 180 students, selected by saturated sampling technique. This study used three scales, namely the student well-being scale (α=0.967), self-adjustment scale (α=0.835) and peer social support scale (α=0.936). The results of the study show that there is a relationship between self-adjustment and peer social support with student well-being in students of the Vocational Shipping Faculty, Hang Tuah University. The adjustment variable made an effective contribution of 43.4%, while peer social support provided an effective contribution of 42.3%.
