Abstract

Islamic Religious Education in the context of formal education in Indonesia has been part of the national education system since the era of independence. Islamic Religious Education is one of the important elements in education in order to achieve the goals of national education as stated in Law no. 20 of 2003. In the process, religious education obtained by a student will not be separated from three educational environments, namely religious education in the family, at school, and in the community. Researchers try to capture the phenomenon of Islamic Religious Education for Students in Families, Schools, and Communities to be able to answer whether there is meaning obtained by students by utilizing these three educational environments, especially in Islamic Religious Education. Basically, this research is intended to find out the extent to which students get Islamic Religious Education in these three environments and find out whether students can take meaning in learning Islamic Religious Education. The research approach used is qualitative with phenomenological method. In accordance with the approach, that the end of this research will only lead to the positivity paradigm. As John Creswell explains that the phenomenological approach means letting the symptoms that are realized reveal themselves. Data or information acquisition was carried out on high school students in Bandung City. The results showed that students' experiences in receiving Islamic Religious Education in families, schools, and communities were different. Religious education in the family is more emphasized on moral and ethical values, while at school it is more focused on understanding the teachings of Islam. Meanwhile, in the community, students' experiences are more likely to be influenced by the surrounding environment which does not always support a correct understanding of Islam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi problematika dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di sekolah umum, khususnya dalam penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari guru dan siswa SMP Negeri 47 Bandung dan SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun Kurikulum Merdeka memberi ruang bagi kreativitas dan pendekatan berbasis proyek, penerapannya dalam PAI terbentur pada kesulitan menghubungkan konsep-konsep agama dengan praktik sehari-hari siswa. Selain itu, faktor keterbatasan infrastruktur dan dukungan sumber daya juga mempengaruhi efektivitas pembelajaran. Namun, beberapa strategi penyesuaian yang diterapkan oleh guru, seperti mengintegrasikan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan konvensional, serta melibatkan orang tua dalam pembelajaran, menunjukkan dampak positif terhadap motivasi siswa. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan lebih dalam mengenai tantangan dan solusi yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This study examines the motivation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI)teachers in organizing congregational Dhuha prayers in schools in Bandung City and its impact on student development. Using a qualitative approach, this study involved in-depth interviews with PAI teachers and students, as well as direct observation of Dhuha prayer activities. The results of the study show that the motivation of PAI teachers comes from intrinsic factors, such as a sense of responsibility as a religious educator and a desire to instill spiritual values, as well as extrinsic factors, including school policy support and parental appreciation. The implementation of congregational Dhuha prayers has proven to have a positive impact on improving student discipline, especially in time management, strengthening worship habits, and increasing Qur'an literacy. This activity also plays a role in shaping the religious character of students and creating a school environment that is conducive to the development of religious values. Although limited to the context of the city of Bandung, this study provides important insights into the integration of religious practices in formal education. It is recommended for further research to expand geographical coverage, use mixed methods, and conduct longitudinal studies to understand the long-term impact of the Dhuha prayer program on the academic and spiritual development of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti penerapan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama islam di sekolah. CRT merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menekankan pengakuan dan pengintegrasian keanekaragaman budaya, latar belakang, dan pengalaman siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan melibatkan peserta didik dari berbagai latar belakang budaya dan strategi pembelajaran guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas selama kegiatan belajar mengajar berlangsung dan wawancara dengan guru PAI yang menerapkan CRT. Integrasi CRT dalam pembelajaran PAI dapat membantu menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang inklusif, mempromosikan pemahaman lintas budaya, meningkatkan kemampuan belajar peserta didik dan mampu mengelola hak semua siswa dalam proses. Hasil dari penelitian ialah pembelajaran yang memperhitungkan keberagaman budaya siswa dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif dan mendukung pengembangan nilai-nilai keagamaan yang kuat. Studi ini juga memberikan pandangan yang lebih komprehensif tentang pentingnya mengakui dan merespons keanekaragaman budaya dalam konteks pendidikan agama, yang pada gilirannya dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah.
