Abstract

The large number of antiseptic products on the market provide choices for people to choose alcoholic or non-alcoholic hand sanitizers. Most commercial hand sanitizers are 70% to 90% alcohol-based. For some people, the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers is not friendly for sensitive skin. Therefore, in this study efforts were made to minimize the use of alcohol as an antiseptic agent in hand sanitizers by using lime peel extract and betel leaf extract. Betel leaves contain chemicals that are useful as antiseptic, antibacterial, and antioxidant substances. The lime peel contains flavonoid compounds that are useful as antioxidants, antiseptics, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial. The results showed that the extraction of lime peel was dark brown and betel leaves were blackish brown. Lime peel extraction was carried out for 5 hours using the maceration method while lime peel extraction used the reflux method. The results of the inhibition test using the Disk Diffusion Test method showed that the growth of bacteria in the sample area grew less compared to the eco-enzyme and water. While the results of the organoleptic test showed that bio-hand sanitizer products made from the lime peel and betel leaf were quite attractive to respondents.

Abstract

This research discusses the analysis of marketing strategies to increase sales at UMKM Kebab Rendang in Medan City, the type of research used is a qualitative method with interview data collection techniques, and documentation is carried out to obtain data, the focus of this research is what marketing strategies should be carried out to increase sales MSME products (case study on Kebab Rendang)? The research results show that marketing strategy management includes: 1) segmentation, 2) targeting, 3) positioning, 4) Marketing mix. The results above are concluded as follows: Marketing strategy analysis to increase sales is currently effective with the components of segmentation, targeting, positioning and marketing mix so that it is able to increase sales

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the impact of discounts on customer interest in Kazana cosmetics MSMEs in the field of struggle. The hypothesis in the research is that discounts have a positive impact on consumer interest. The type of research used is descriptive research. By using primary and secondary data sources. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis data and qualitative analysis. The research results found that from this analysis price has a positive or significant influence on buying interest. The existence of price discounts will increase consumer buying interest, meaning that if the price discount is higher it will influence the high tendency of consumers to be interested in making purchases.

Abstract

Socialization to the community in Pematang Johar Village, Labuhan Deli District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra regarding the investment we are making with PT Bursa Efek Indo, it is known that although the interest of MSMEs in running a business is very good, in general the knowledge of MSMEs about the law in investment , especially regarding the risks and consequences of investing in funds, in the investment sector it is necessary to provide more in-depth knowledge, it is hoped that with increasing knowledge they will become better than before being given explanations related to investment through lecture methods and discussion forums in socialization activities. The result of this socialization is that the public and MSME players can easily understand the material presented, regarding the explanation of how to invest correctly and how to know whether an honest investment or an illegal investment.

Abstract

MSMEs are expected to be responsive and able to understand the market so they can survive in competition. Basically, marketing strategy is a way to show the superiority of a product which aims to win sustainable marketing competition for both goods and service production companies. One of the MSMEs that runs this business is Meler Chocolate Bananas. The problem formulation for this research is: What is the marketing strategy and target market carried out by Meler Chocolate Banana MSMEs to increase the competitiveness of their business? This research aims to determine the marketing strategy and target market for Meler Chocolate Banana MSMEs in increasing their business competitiveness. It is hoped that this research will have theoretical and practical benefits that will help in implementing marketing strategies and market targets in increasing business competitiveness. This research uses a type of descriptive qualitative research, where the sample determination technique uses a purposive sampling method, the researcher analyzes the data by conducting Data Reduction, Data Display, SWOT Analysis, and Drawing Conclusions. The impact of marketing strategies in increasing the competitiveness of Piscok Meler MSMEs, through appropriate marketing strategies increases the competitiveness of brown banana businesses by dividing the market into smaller segments. So companies can identify customer groups that have similar needs and characteristics.

Abstract

This research discusses the analysis of promotional strategies using social media Tik Tok, the type of research used is a qualitative method with observational data collection techniques, and documentation is carried out to obtain data. The focus of this research is what promotional strategies should be carried out by MSME Baso Aci Ganteng through social media tick tock? The research results show that Baso Aci Ganteng wants to make TikTok a media or promotional tool to communicate products and sales activities carried out by Baso Aci Ganteng, where currently TikTok is a media that almost everyone has, from children to adults.

Abstract

Melati II Village, Perbaungan District, there are MSMEs that are objects of community service, namely MSMEs for making tempeh and cultivating maggot caterpillars. The purpose of this community service is (1) to educate on strengthening business management for Tempe MSMEs in Melati II Village, (2) to educate marketing strategies for Maggot Caterpillar MSMEs in Melati II Village. With the increasing understanding of MSME players about the importance of business management and marketing strategies, it is hoped that it will help their businesses to develop and compete better.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan moderasi beragama dengan kepedulian sosial dan ekonomi di Desa Suka Ndebi, Kecamatan Naman Teran, Kabupaten Karo. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan partisipasi langsung selama kegiatan KKN Mandiri Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara tahun 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Suka Ndebi hidup dalam keberagaman agama dengan tingkat toleransi yang cukup baik, namun masih diperlukan penguatan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dalam kehidupan sosial dan ekonomi. Melalui kegiatan seperti edukasi keagamaan, gotong royong, dan pelatihan wirausaha, mahasiswa berperan aktif dalam menumbuhkan semangat kebersamaan dan kepedulian sosial antarwarga. Implementasi digitalisasi usaha melalui Google Maps juga membantu pengembangan ekonomi lokal berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

The 2025 Independent Community Service Program (KKN) of the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra was held in Dalu 10A Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency. This activity aims to increase elementary school students' understanding and awareness of the environment through a nature literacy program. An educational approach was carried out through activities introducing organic and inorganic waste, recycling used goods, and planting seedlings in the school environment. In addition, students also carried out supporting activities such as financial management education, MSME promotion, and socialization of the importance of investment for students. The implementation results showed an increase in student awareness in maintaining school cleanliness, the emergence of environmentally conscious behavior, and active involvement of the community and school in maintaining the sustainability of the program. This KKN program successfully fostered values of social responsibility and ecological awareness among students and strengthened the synergy between students, schools, and the village community.

Abstract

The 2025 Independent Community Service Program (KKN) of the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra will be held in Dalu 10A Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency. This activity aims to increase the understanding and concern of elementary school students for the environment through the natural literacy program. The educational approach is carried out through organic and inorganic waste introductions, recycling of used goods, and planting plant seeds in the school environment. In addition, students also carry out supporting activities such as financial management education, MSME promotion, and socialization of the importance of investment for students. To strengthen student understanding, the KKN team also prepared simple learning media in the form of posters and mini modules that make it easier for students to recognize the types of waste and simple steps to maintain cleanliness. The school is also involved through routine coordination to ensure the sustainability of the program after the KKN is completed. The results of the implementation show an increase in student awareness in maintaining school cleanliness, the emergence of environmentally caring behaviors, and the active involvement of the community and the school in maintaining the sustainability of the program. Overall, this KKN program has succeeded in fostering the value of social responsibility, ecological concern, and strengthening synergy between students, schools, and village communities in supporting a cleaner and more educational environment.
