Abstract

Peer-to-peerĀ (P2P) lending is a financial platform that connects lenders directly with borrowers without going through traditional financial intermediaries. Sharia P2P lending applies sharia principles in its transactions. Even though sharia P2P lending in Indonesia has increased in recent years, regulatory and legal challenges still hamper its growth. This research aims to analyze the regulatory and legal challenges faced by Sharia P2P lending in Indonesia and provide policy recommendations to overcome them. This research uses qualitative methods by conducting a literature review of sharia P2P lending regulations in Indonesia and in-depth interviews with regulators, sharia P2P lending practitioners, and academics. The research results show that the main challenges faced are regulatory uncertainty, the need for a Sharia legal framework for P2P lending, and the regulator's lack of understanding of the Sharia-based P2P lending business model. The proposed policy recommendations include establishing a comprehensive and integrated Sharia P2P lending regulatory framework, preparing legally binding Sharia fatwas, and increasing regulators' literacy and understanding of the digital Sharia financial sector. The policy implications of this research can provide input for regulators and practitioners in developing a healthy and sustainable Sharia P2P lending ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Innovation has become a key element in business sustainability, and companies that can integrate sustainable innovation into their strategy have a better chance of surviving and growing in a rapidly changing environment. This research will explore key factors influencing the development and implementation of sustainable innovation strategies in various types of organizations, including internal factors such as innovation culture, leadership, and resources, as well as external factors such as regulatory pressures and consumer demands for sustainable products and services. This research method involves a qualitative with multiple-case study. This study highlights five critical success factors for implementing sustainable innovation strategies in companies: leadership commitment, dedicated divisions, substantial investments in internal capabilities, long-term collaboration with external stakeholders, and culture-fostering experimentation. The impacts include increased revenue from sustainable products, improved production efficiency, energy savings, emissions reduction, and enhanced local supplier chains, reinforcing the case for broader adoption. The implications of these findings include the importance of empirical data in convincing companies to adopt sustainable innovation strategies. Further research is recommended, especially in companies with a more advanced and radical level of maturity in implementing sustainability innovation strategies.

The instrument used was a questionnaire using Google Form media. Data analysis in this research uses smartPLS (Partial Least Squares). The results of this research show that there is an influence of CHSE implementation on interest in returning to visit. Meanwhile, the indirect interaction test results showed that interest in returning to visit was able to significantly moderate the relationship between CHSE implementation and potential economic growth. One of the things regulated in Islam is ethics in business competition. The competition itself has meaning when organizations or individuals compete to achieve the goals desired by consumers, market share, survey rankings, or the resources needed. When Islam allows business and encourages the wheels of the economy to run, Islam allows the implementation of business competition as long as it is within the corridors of fairness and by Islamic law.
