According to data taken from monthly nutrition report at Pustu Kaliwining and Puskesmas Rambipuji, we know that 80 % babies get breast feeding supplement early and 6,4 % experiencing bad nutrition. This research was made in order to analysis the accuracy relation about giving food besides breast feeding and the nutrition status of the babies. This study was an analytic where the data were obtained through a cross sectional design and the population was 186 persons. The sample was 127 babies and their mothers. It was taken using a proporsional stratified random sampling and with Chi Square analysis. The results showed that the breast feeding supplement was given correctly (36 %) and incorrectly (64 %). And from the criteria of the nutrition status on the bais of body’s weight (Health Care Record), it was shown that there were 68 % babies with good nutrition status, 9 % with bad nutrition status and 23 % inadequate nutrition status. Based on the statistical test of Chi Square using SPSS For Windows, it is known that there is a conclusion between the accuracy in giving breast feeding supplement and the nutrition status of the babies in 0-12 months years old as shown by p cost is lower than α cost 0,05. It is suggested that midwives have to more active in order to give information about the importance giving breast feeding supplement exactly to mothers in the various meeting.

ABSTRACT Background: Adolescence is the period of change in an individual from childhood to adulthood that occurs in several changes, which are biological, psychological, and social changes. In general, today’s Indonesian teenagers are experiencing vulnerability to health problems and threats, especially sexual, free sex, and reproductive health problems. The existence of the Information and Counseling Center is to meet the needs of adolescents with information on reproductive health and sexuality without hesitation and embarrassment because they will get the information from peer relations through peer counseling. Methods: The population used was the students of the Plus Miftahul Ulum Kalisat Jember junior high school, a total of 80 students. The design of this study used a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group pre-and post-test. The variables measured are knowledge, attitudes, and skills of adolescents related to reproductive health. Data was collected using questionnaires and observation sheets.  Results: The results of statistical tests using linear regression obtained peer counseling values for knowledge (p=0.000; R=0.254), attitudes (p=0.000; R square=0.432), and skills (p=0.000; R square = 0.191). Conclusion: Peer counseling can increase knowledge, attitudes, and skills in junior high school girls as well as drug and drug abuse. Hopefully, the school will continue to collaborate with health education institutions or services to continue the improvement of the abilities of counselors who attend peer counseling

Abstract

Sexual behavior among adolescents can have social and psychological impacts on them. As an effort to prevent free sex, both internal and external measures can be taken, one of which is self-control using the Health Belief Model (HBM) approach to predict the causes of their behavior. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of factors such as perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, cues to action, perceived benefits, and perceived barriers on the efforts to prevent free sex conducted at SMK dr. Soebandi. This research method uses a quantitative cross-sectional design with a sample size of 100 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using logistic regression. The results of statistical tests showed significance in the variables of perceived susceptibility (p=0.000), perceived severity (p=0.000), cues to action (p=0.000), and perceived benefits (p=0.000), but not significant for perceived barriers (p=0.144). The conclusion of the study is that perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, cues to action, and perceived benefits have an influence on the efforts to prevent free sex among adolescents, whereas perceived barriers have no relationship with the efforts to prevent free sex among adolescents.

Abstract

Adolescents go through a phase of self-discovery, which sparks a strong sense of curiosity, a desire to stand out, and the need to be acknowledged for their presence. However, at the same time, they face emotional instability, making them more susceptible to peer influence and prone to prioritizing group conformity. One of the problems that is very prone to occur in adolescence is reproductive health problems such as sexuality or free sex, HIV/AIDS and drugs, if you are constantly tempted and in a very free condition, of course one day you will also be tempted to do it.  The purpose of the service is to carry out cadre assistance using a module on reproductive health. This service activity is a continuation of the previous activity that formed adolescent health cadres, so that they are more optimally equipped and assisted by using modules to further improve their reproductive health behavior. The method used is to provide assistance as a form of empowerment for youth cadres who have been formed. The target number is 30 students as adolescent health cadres who have been selected. Assistance is carried out by coaching activities carried out through communication, information, and education, community empowerment, technical guidance, and supervision.

Abstract

Introduction:According to WHO data, the prevalence of hypertension in the elderly is 29%, with Indonesia ranging from 26% to 31%. In East Java, the prevalence is 26.2%, while Jember Regency has 198,562 residents in the Sukowono area, ranking second in hypertension cases. Data from the elderly posyandu in Sumber Wringin Village shows that 10.3% of elderly individuals suffer from hypertension. Managing hypertension in the elderly requires treatment options that minimize side effects while preventing morbidity, mortality, and maintaining normal blood pressure. One effective technique is slow deep breathing therapy. This study aimed to examine the difference in blood pressure before and after administering slow deep breathing therapy to hypertensive patients at the elderly posyandu. Methods: This research employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The study population consisted of 40 hypertensive patients at the elderly posyandu, with a sample size of 36 individuals selected through simple random sampling. Results: Data collection involved observation sheets and blood pressure measurements. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Before the intervention, the majority of respondents (58.3%) were categorized as having severe hypertension. After the intervention, 55.6% of respondents experienced moderate hypertension. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference in blood pressure before and after slow deep breathing therapy, with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion: Slow deep breathing therapy effectively reduces blood pressure in hypertensive elderly patients at the posyandu. It is recommended for hypertension management, with a duration of 10–15 minutes per session, performed twice daily in the morning and evening, to promote sustained blood pressure improvements.
