Abstract

This study aims to describe in depth the planning, implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors, and evaluation of the application of expository learning strategies in improving the quality of students' memorization of the Qur'an at Adzkia 1 Padang Integrated Islamic Elementary School. This research uses qualitative methods through a descriptive approach, the type of research used is field research. The results showed that Adzkia 1 Padang Integrated Islamic Elementary School has designed the implementation of learning in stages, starting from preparation, opening activities, core activities (including murajaah together and memorization deposits), to closing activities. Some of the supporting factors for the successful implementation of expository strategies include a conducive learning environment, grouping students based on ability, and choosing strategies that are considered easier for teachers and students. However, there are also some inhibiting factors such as boredom in learning, lack of independent murajaah, and lack of cooperation with parents. Thus, learning evaluation is carried out regularly through mutabaah books, weekly evaluations, and comprehensive exams. The evaluation results show an increase in the quality of memorization of the Qur'an in most students.

Abstract

Own Smartphone There are many benefits, especially in the world of education, but if it is not used properly, it will have a big impact on students, especially on their learning outcomes. In fact, this research is to find out the picture of utilization of Smartphones on student learning outcomes. This research design uses quantitative methods with a correlational approach, the population in this research is a total of seventy-six students, fifteen students were used as a trial, and the sample was sixty-one students. The data analysis technique used is using assumption tests, namely normality tests and homogeneity tests, as well as data analysis or hypothesis tests with the help of the SPSS application. Research results and discussion can be concluded that there is an influence on utilization of Smartphones on student learning outcomes in high school. It is known that the value of the determinant coefficient is large with a large R square amounting to 0.022 x 100, which is 2.2%. This concludes that there is an influence between variable (X) and variable (Y) of 2.2%. This means that there is an influence on utilization of Smartphones on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The use of deep learning methods in Social Studies has become a growing approach in elementary schools because it is considered capable of helping students understand concepts more deeply. This study aims to analyze the effect of using deep learning methods on improving students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills in Social Studies learning. The study used a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative data through learning achievement tests and qualitative data through observation and interviews. The study sample consisted of 60 students from two classes selected using a cluster sampling technique, while qualitative data were obtained from subject teachers and students involved. Quantitative analysis was conducted using a difference test to observe changes in learning outcomes, while qualitative data were analyzed thematically to describe the process of implementing the method. The results showed that the use of deep learning had a positive effect on improving conceptual understanding and students' ability to relate Social Studies material to real situations. Students appeared more active in providing arguments, processing information, and solving problems. Learning became more focused because the teacher facilitated analysis, in-depth discussions, and reflection. This study has implications that the deep learning method can be applied as an alternative strategy in Social Studies learning in elementary schools to improve the quality of the learning process and outcomes. These findings can form the basis for further research in developing more innovative Social Studies learning designs oriented towards deep understanding.

Abstract

The activity of memorizing the Quran has existed since the time of the Prophet Muhammad because at that time the Prophet received the first revelation from the Jibril by memorizing. In Indonesia, memorizing the Quran is a very special and desirable thing. Many educational institutions ranging from kindergarten to college level have made tahfizh Alquran as their flagship program. However, in the learning process, students who are in this special class must have a special method or way of memorizing the Quran. Precisely, this study aims to analyze the method of memorizing the Quran for Academically Talented Students. This research uses a qualitative method using a case study approach. Data sources were taken from sixteen informants through in-depth interviews with informants. The sixteen informants consisted of the principal, vice principal for curriculum, tahfizh teacher and Academically Talented Students. This study found that there are three themes related to the method of memorizing the Quran for Academically Talented Students, namely: tikrar method, kitabah method and talaqqi method. This research can be used as a reference for educational institutions and teachers and guide Academically Talented Students in memorizing the Quran.

Abstract

Microteaching plays a crucial role in preparing prospective teachers, as it serves as a platform for integrating theory and practice. However, the internalization of ilahiyah and insaniah values in microteaching has not yet been fully optimized, resulting in limited adaptability among students during teaching practice in schools. This article aims to analyze the urgency of applying ilahiyah and insaniah values in microteaching as a foundation for shaping professional teachers with Islamic character. The study employs a qualitative approach using content analysis, based on literature review, policy documents, and previous studies related to Islamic value-based microteaching. The analysis highlights basic teaching skills integrated with Quranic values such as qaulan sadida (truthful speech), qaulan baligha (impactful words), and qaulan karima (noble words). The findings indicate that the internalization of ilahiyah and insaniah values strengthens pedagogical, social, professional, and personal competencies of prospective teachers. Islamic value-based microteaching not only enhances technical teaching skills but also builds moral, ethical, and spiritual foundations that contribute to teacher professionalism. The implications of this study emphasize that developing microteaching grounded in Islamic values can serve as an effective strategy to improve teacher education quality while addressing regulatory demands and modern curriculum needs.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the condition of Islamic religious education learning in schools, which has not yet achieved its ideal outcomes. Ideally, successful learning should be reflected in students’ attitudes and behaviors in their daily lives, contributing to positive personal development. However, this condition has not been fully realized, as instruction is still often conducted using conventional approaches that limit student participation and hinder the achievement of learning objectives. Therefore, this study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of a deep-contextual teaching and learning model in Islamic religious education at the junior high school level. This study employed a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest and posttest approach with cluster random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using comparative statistical testing and gain score analysis to evaluate improvements in student learning outcomes. The findings indicate a significant difference between students’ performance before and after the implementation of the model, demonstrating a meaningful improvement in learning outcomes. The gain score analysis shows a moderate level of improvement, indicating that the model has a positive impact on student learning. The deep-contextual teaching and learning model is effective in improving learning outcomes in Islamic religious education at the junior high school level.
