Abstract

Residential Housing are the current solution in the provision of houses for urban communities, especially for people who have limited ability in home ownership. A vertical housing is a collection of residential units are arranged vertically with a limited area, such as type 18 m2 up to 36m2. Residential units of towers usually consist of a space without borders with a bathroom or no bathroom inside, as well as a back porch for a clothes line or other service functions. Unrestricted residential units allow the occurrence of uncontrolled spaces of function or the occurrence of spaces that are multi-function and interfere with comfort or privacy, even increasing in line with the development of occupant characteristics. Optimal spatial arrangement is expected to realize harmony between humans, activities and built environment so that it does not create impact when utilization. And space actually shows the functional expressions that determine where the form should be found (Lutfiah, 2010), Space is something objective or real and subjective as the result of the human mind. This research is done by descriptive exploratory method (Marpaung, 2010) to know the background of the formation of a space that occurs after the residential process takes place. From these results will be able to determine what types of space is needed and often occurs in a development of residential apartment. So that later can be made guidance needs of the early space adaptive to the needs of residents towers.

Abstract

Climate has a very decisive influence in influencing comfort conditions in space, one of which is its effect on lighting in the room. This lighting performance is greatly influenced by the performance of the openings that allow sunlight to enter the space so that the light intensity in the room can increase. There is a linear relationship between light intensity and aperture, so we need a way to optimize the performance of openings that can be controlled with a shade system or a device that can control the entry of sunlight into space. Active sunshade model or smart shading is one strategy to control incoming sunlight dynamically and to follow changes in light intensity that enters space. This actively adapting shading device is a shading device consisting of a vertical plane consisting of two panels that can move up and down according to the needs of room light intensity. This device is controlled by a control device that gets the light intensity data input from a sensor that is placed in the room to control the light intensity in the room. From the shading device that has been made, it is found that the performance of the device can adapt activities to the light intensity of space ranging from 100-200 lux in daytime conditions with an average panel opening of 12.81-14.42% of the window area.

Abstract

Saat ini, bangunan masjid dapat menjadi daya tarik bagi masyarakat untuk melakukan wisata religi. Banyak unsur dalam arsitektur Islam yang mempengaruhi bentuk arsitektur masjid yang banyak unsur-unsur dekorasi sehingga masjid menjadi daya tarik tersendiri. Pola-pola dekoratif banyak muncul pada beberapa komponen bangunan masjid, seperti mihrab, dinding kiblat, kolom dan lainlain.Dan seberapa jauh pengaruh tersebut muncul dalam arsitektur masjid. Oleh karena itu makalah ini akan menyajikan tinjauan literatur dan lapangan tentang ornamentasi yang muncul dalam beberapa masjid. Makalah ini akan membahas beberapa tampilan ornamentasi dan pola dekoratif pada bangunan masjid.

Abstract

Tlogopatut village is a village in Gresik which good economic growth with many historical buildings. The growth of the community's economy has resulted commercial buildings along the main road. The visual of commercial buildings is not accompanied by control the appearance of the building that’s impact to the chaotic of the visual of city. Preservation of historic buildings is an effective way to control the visual of buildings and be a promotion. Increasing public appreciation in controlling the values ​​of old buildings on the visual of the city can be do with socialization, counseling, design consultation and make a visual design to the village. First activity is socialization to understanding of potentials historic buildings. Second, inform the results of the design of the visual arrangement of the building which from the potentials of the old building. Third, conduct consultations in arranging the appearance of the building that’s a local characteristics.

Abstract

Sebuah bangunan stasiun merupakan bangunan yang memiliki hubungan dengan banyak orang dan kecepatan. Kemudahan navigasi dan akses pada bangunan dan fungsi-fungsi ruangan yang ada di dalamnya menjadi sebuah kebutuhan untuk menghindarkan pengguna dari berbagai kerugian dalam perjalanan. Untuk merespon kebutuhan akan kecepatan dan ketepatan navigasi, maka hadir konsep arsitektur wayfinding. Konsep arsitektur wayfinding memperhatikan arsitektur lingkungan yang ada untuk dapat mempengaruhi keberhasilan navigasi. Elemen yang perlu diperhatikan dalam arsitektur wayfinding adalah jalur, tepian, zona, simpul, dan landmark. Dalam artikel ini, objek yang akan dikaji pada pengamatan kali ini adalah Stasiun U District, Washington, Amerika Serikat. Bangunan stasiun ini berada pada deretan pertokoan dan memiliki jalur kereta bawah tanah. Dengan karakteristik bangunan yang dimiliki, menarik untuk diperhatikan cara stasiun ini menavigasi para penggunanya. Dalam artikel ini, penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan pengamatan terhadap lima elemen arsitektur wayfinding yang terdapat pada Stasiun U District. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan implementasi konsep arsitektur wayfinding pada bangunan Stasiun U District. Dengan adanya artikel ini, penulis berharap bahwa hasil dari kajian ini bisa menjadi bahan referensi dalam mengimplementasikan konsep arsitektur wayfinding pada bangunan stasiun.

Abstract

Disaster is a very sad condition for the victims of the disaster, which destroys, eliminates, and destroys all aspects of people's lives, even the lives of relatives affected by the disaster. The destruction of infrastructure, buildings, and houses experienced by the victims caused them to have no shelter and shelter for themselves and their relatives. The absence of shelter for them after the disaster will cause very worrying problems and will have a continued impact on their next life. Housing as a temporary shelter for them is a very urgent need and it is very important to be held quickly to meet the needs of their next life. The provision of fast housing for victims affected by disasters is the focus of this research. The method of providing fast homes with a modular system is a building method where building components are built based on module units. These modules are assembled and assembled for easy use and disassembly. This type of house is increasingly being adopted in many areas, especially in areas where there are many disasters, because of its speed and efficiency. In this study, the aesthetic aspects and the flexibility of the container are excluded, but the emphasis is on the availability of basic residential space and the arrangement of the basic space module. Therefore, various efforts have been made to meet user demands for different living spaces by using only a few module units using a one-room system consisting of a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area sufficient to meet basic living needs. daily. The function of the building is divided into three zones: service, public, and private.

Abstract

Gresik has a wealth of architectural buildings as historical buildings that are very diverse and spread in almost all areas of the city because the potential of the historic building can be to strengthen local identity. On the other, currently the growth of urban buildings in the Gresik area still only prioritizes functional needs, especially commercial buildings or buildings that have economic potential, especially those located on the main roads of Gresik. The visual growth of these buildings does not take into account the values of local wisdom that can characterize the appearance of local buildings, and even now many are neglected and are not even a major consideration in the current city's visual design thinking. The symbolization of the city must of course be a guide in regulating the visual growth of the city, it can develop according to the architectural potential of the old city which can be expressed in the design of the building or environment. The author's thought in this study is how is the role of local wisdom values as a source of approach in regulating visual design guidelines for building layouts and the local environment, especially in commercial buildings which have been growing quite rapidly. The research uses the descriptive analysis method through observation and literature study in an effort to solve research problems that arise in the field. The preparation of the design process uses an iconic approach to get the visual characteristics of the city that are expressed in buildings. The visual potentials of the city originating from old buildings can be input in the design process and make these potentials as markers of a place or environment in an effort to create the characteristics of a place or environment.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan potensi alam yang berlimpah seperti sinar matahari, khususnya di Surabaya, merupakan tantangan tersendiri. Poetensi tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan guna pencahayaan alami di dalam bangunan. Salah satu upaya tersebut adalah bagaimana mengupayakan agar potensi sinar matahari tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal dengan pengendalian bukaan ruang yang dapat beradaptasi dengan pergerakan matahari pada siang hari. Penelitian dilaksanakan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif guna mengukur adaptasi bergeraknya perangkat penghalang matahari yang ditempatkan di depan bukaan ruang unit hunian denagn menggunakan panel penghalang sinar matahari yang digerakkan oleh perangkat linear actuator yang dikontrol oleh mikrokontroller Arduino, sedangkan sensor LDR digunakan untuk mendeteksi arah datangnya sinar matahari. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa perangkat panel pembayangan sudah mampu untuk membuka dan menutup sesuai pergerakan sinar matahari dengan kuat pencahayaan alami antara pukul 10.00 sampai pukul 15.00.

Abstract

Meja kerja yang banyak ditemui saat ini pada mulanya didesain dengan bertolak pada kebutuhan yang universal. Pada umumnya desain meja kerja yang sering ditemui di studio desain yang kurang mempertimbangkan area kerja dan area penyimpanan. Masalah yang ditimbulkan dari desain tersebut salah satunya adalah keterbatasan akses penyimpanan hasil kerja mendesain dan bekerja desain menggunakan manual dan komputer. Penelitian ini membahas tentang desain meja kerja yang mengusung konsep multifungsi. Desain meja kerja (workspace) yang mengusung konsep multifungsi ini menjadi penting dilakukan guna memberikan solusi atas permasalahan yang telah ditemui tersebut. Studi ini menggunakan metode design thinking dalam menghasilkan solusi desain. Dilakukan pengamatan terlebih dahulu terhadap pengguna meja kerja untuk selanjutnya dilakukan wawancara informal terkait tingkat kenyamanan kerja. Untuk mendukung proses produksi, pemilihan material dan finishing produk juga dilakukan guna mendapatkan produk yang memiliki kualitas yang baik. Selanjutnya, dilakukan analisa kebutuhan pengguna untuk menghasilkan gagasan-gagasan desain. Hasil studi ini adalah desain meja kerja yang multifungsi dengan mempertimbangkan aspek kompleksitas kebutuhan kerja guna menunjang kualitas kerja pengguna. Desain meja kerja ini dapat digunakan untuk acuan pengembangan produk, khususnya pada desain meja kerja yang dapat digunakan di studio desain.
