Abstract

The science of astronomy is the study of celestial objects, the sun, moon, stars and other planets. The development of astronomy had already started since the time before Islam, namely in Babylon, ancient Egypt, China, India, Persia, and Greece but merely observe some constellations sajabahkan often coupled with all sorts tahayyul that are fantasti. According to them all as the Lords instructions that must be solved. Even in those days, people use more of the constellations to predict their daily lives, but in the subsequent period during the development of Islamic teachings, astronomy no longer like that, but it already has basicpada knowledge of the Koran and al-Hadith, and until now this technology are developing rapidly both in the theory or application.

Abstract

Motor bensin merupakan salah satu jenis mesin pembakaran dalam (internal combustion engine) yang proses pembakaran bahan bakarnya dilakukan didalam ruang bakar silinder itu sendiri dengan bantuan percikan bunga api dari busi. Dari hasil pembakaran itulah didapatkan daya untuk melakukan langkah usaha. Salah satu jenis mesin dari pembakaran dalam adalah mesin empat langkah. Motor bakar merupakan salah satu jenis mesin penggerak yang banyak dimanfaatkan dengan menggunakan energi kalor dari proses pembakaran menjadi energi mekanik. Motor yang menggunakan pembakaran dalam memerlukan tekanan kompresi yang cukup diruang bakar untuk dapat bekerja dengan sempurna. Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk memadatkan kompresi dengan cara mengurangi ketebalan gasket silinder head. Hasil percobaan ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan kecepatan maksimal, RPM maksimal, Durasi waktu tempuh, dan konsumsi bahan bakar semaksimal mungkin. Dalam pengujian ini  menggunakan jarak 200m dengan menghitung waktu tercepat dalam jarak tersebut. Ketebalan gasket 0,3 mm lebih baik dari 0,5 mm, karena volume pada ruang bakar menjadi sempit sehingga tenaga pada piston akan menjadi besar.Kata  kunci : mesin, silinder head, gasket, bahan bakar.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research was: first of all, tries to analyse the effect of financial performance (EVA, MVA, and ROA) on stock returns of manufacturing companies listed in JSX; secondly, it tries to analyse which among those three analysis tools (EVA, MVA, and ROA) that has the greatest effect on stock returns of the sample companies. The sample in this research was 20 manufacturing companies that were listed in JSX. Those 20 companies were the ones that meet certain research requirement. The observation years were between 1996 to 2000. The technique of analysis was employed in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The analysis was employed only after a preliminary test which ensured that the data did not violate the classical assumption of normality has been conducted. There were four hypothesis in this research, either partially or simultaneously, that will be tested by using t-test (significant at 10 %, 5 % degree of freedom 98 %), and F-test (significant at 10 %, degree of freedom: 98 %). The result from the first and second research showed that EVA and ROA were not significantly important to the stock return in the partial way in manufacturing companies. The third hypothesis showed that MVA had significant effect on stock return partially, with t-test 10 % and 5 %, df 98 %, was 2,205 with cost significant 0.030. The fourth hypothesis simultaneously that EVA, MVA, and ROA had influenced stock return, with F-test 10 %, df 98 % was 2.338, the value of cost significantly 0.078. The main factors that cause this insignificancy can be categorized as external factors. They may range from the dollar rate fluctuations since 1997, the resignation of President Soeharto in 1998, ethnic conflicts that erupted throughout 1998 - 2000, monetary crisis, company debt restructure

Abstract

Saat ini, bangunan masjid dapat menjadi daya tarik bagi masyarakat untuk melakukan wisata religi. Banyak unsur dalam arsitektur Islam yang mempengaruhi bentuk arsitektur masjid yang banyak unsur-unsur dekorasi sehingga masjid menjadi daya tarik tersendiri. Pola-pola dekoratif banyak muncul pada beberapa komponen bangunan masjid, seperti mihrab, dinding kiblat, kolom dan lain-lain. Dan seberapa jauh pengaruh tersebut muncul dalam arsitektur masjid. Oleh karena itu makalah ini akan menyajikan tinjauan literatur dan lapangan tentang ornamentasi yang muncul dalam beberapa masjid. Makalah ini akan membahas beberapa tampilan ornamentasi dan pola dekoratif pada bangunan masjid.

Abstract

The potential of cassava tubers as a food ingredient that is widely available in Indonesia, especially the dawuhan village as a thematic KKN location that has abundant agricultural products and can be developed as processed products that have a higher economic value and is able to increase economic productivity for local villagers. Processed cassava products into cassava chips are products that have high market value, especially as products that can lift the image of the village to become a guided village with cassava chips that have a high flavor. The ability of rural communities to process products is still limited in terms of technology use and the ability to process these processed products to be more delicious, tasty and trendy. Utilization of production equipment such as chopper machines, slicing machines and a good packaging system can increase cassava chips processed products into products that have a high selling value and can be a source of income for the majority of rural communities, even later can encourage rural tourism of local specialties. The results of the application in the field can be produced that increasing production capacity and production quality can continue to be developed by utilizing these production tools and developing better packaging technology so that processed cassava chips products can compete with other products that have already developed.

Abstract

Climate has a very decisive influence in influencing comfort conditions in space, one of which is its effect on lighting in the room. This lighting performance is greatly influenced by the performance of the openings that allow sunlight to enter the space so that the light intensity in the room can increase. There is a linear relationship between light intensity and aperture, so we need a way to optimize the performance of openings that can be controlled with a shade system or a device that can control the entry of sunlight into space. Active sunshade model or smart shading is one strategy to control incoming sunlight dynamically and to follow changes in light intensity that enters space. This actively adapting shading device is a shading device consisting of a vertical plane consisting of two panels that can move up and down according to the needs of room light intensity. This device is controlled by a control device that gets the light intensity data input from a sensor that is placed in the room to control the light intensity in the room. From the shading device that has been made, it is found that the performance of the device can adapt activities to the light intensity of space ranging from 100-200 lux in daytime conditions with an average panel opening of 12.81-14.42% of the window area.

Abstract

Abstract

Utilization of the abundant natural potential such as sunlight, especially in Surabaya, its a challenge in itself. This potential can be used for natural lighting in buildings. One of these efforts is how to make the potential of sunlight optimally utilized by controlling space openings that can adapt to the movement of the sun during a day. This research be using qualitative and quantitative methods to measure the adaptation of the movement of the sun barrier device which is placed in front of the unit's open space using a sun visor which is moved by a linear actuator controlled by an Arduino Microcontroller, while the LDR sensor is used to detect the direction of sunlight. From the research results, it was found that the imaging panel device was able to open and close according to the movement of sunlight with strong natural lighting between 10:00 to 15:00.

Abstract

Tlogopatut village is a village in Gresik which good economic growth with many historical buildings. The growth of the community's economy has resulted commercial buildings along the main road. The visual of commercial buildings is not accompanied by control the appearance of the building that’s impact to the chaotic of the visual of city. Preservation of historic buildings is an effective way to control the visual of buildings and be a promotion. Increasing public appreciation in controlling the values ​​of old buildings on the visual of the city can be do with socialization, counseling, design consultation and make a visual design to the village. First activity is socialization to understanding of potentials historic buildings. Second, inform the results of the design of the visual arrangement of the building which from the potentials of the old building. Third, conduct consultations in arranging the appearance of the building that’s a local characteristics.

Abstract

Disaster is a very sad condition for the victims of the disaster, which destroys, eliminates, and destroys all aspects of people's lives, even the lives of relatives affected by the disaster. The destruction of infrastructure, buildings, and houses experienced by the victims caused them to have no shelter and shelter for themselves and their relatives. The absence of shelter for them after the disaster will cause very worrying problems and will have a continued impact on their next life. Housing as a temporary shelter for them is a very urgent need and it is very important to be held quickly to meet the needs of their next life. The provision of fast housing for victims affected by disasters is the focus of this research. The method of providing fast homes with a modular system is a building method where building components are built based on module units. These modules are assembled and assembled for easy use and disassembly. This type of house is increasingly being adopted in many areas, especially in areas where there are many disasters, because of its speed and efficiency. In this study, the aesthetic aspects and the flexibility of the container are excluded, but the emphasis is on the availability of basic residential space and the arrangement of the basic space module. Therefore, various efforts have been made to meet user demands for different living spaces by using only a few module units using a one-room system consisting of a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area sufficient to meet basic living needs. daily. The function of the building is divided into three zones: service, public, and private.
