Abstract

Desa Kukuh merupakan salah satu desa di kecamatan Kerambitan, Tabanan yang memiliki misi menjadi desa digital. Desa memiliki memiliki sebuah program pendataan kesehatan yang dilakukan secara rutin ke seluruh warga. Pendataan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan agar pemerintah mengetahui pemetaan khususnya dibidang kesehatan. Selama ini proses pendataan dilakukan dengan menggunakan form kertas. Kemudian form tersebut akan dikumpulkan pada kantor desa. Lalu direkap oleh perangkat desa dalam bentuk excel. Permasalahan yang terjadi selama ini adalah perangkat desa memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama dalam merekap data tersebut. Selain itu sering terjadi kesalahan dalam merekap data. Bersarkan permasalahan tersebut maka dibuat sebuah sistem untuk mengakomodasi proses penginputan agar secara otomatis dapat tervisualisasikan ke dalam bentuk grafik atau tabel. Sistem yang dibuat adalah sebuah sistem berbasis website dimana data dapat diinput secara langsung menggunakan laptop ataupun gadget yang terkoneksi dengan internet. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan semua peserta pelatihan sudah menyerap materi yang diberikan dan semua peserta juga memberikan pendapat bahwa sistem informasi data kesehatan ini sangat membantu petugas dalam proses penginputan data.

Abstract

The fragility of local historical memory in Sibangkaja Village has become increasingly evident as oral traditions fade and social transformations accelerate under the pressures of urbanization and digital cultural penetration. This underscores the urgent need to reconstruct, document, and digitize ancestral narratives as part of community-based cultural heritage preservation efforts. This study aims to identify the structure and dynamics of Sibangkaja’s historical memory and explore the application of digital humanities in revitalizing local knowledge through web-based visual storytelling media. The research employed oral history interviews, participatory observation, an archival study of cultural records, and the transmediation of historical narratives into interactive visual formats. The findings reveal that Sibangkaja’s collective memory is deeply embedded in local cosmology, religious rituals, and kinship structures, while carrying moral values that connect humans to their ancestors and their lived environment. Digitizing memory through a web-based pictorial storytelling medium demonstrated expanded access to knowledge, enhanced engagement among younger generations, and the creation of intergenerational cultural collaboration spaces for the elderly. This study proposes a community-based digital-archiving model that integrates local epistemology, digital technology, and visual-narrative approaches. Its primary contribution lies in advancing digital humanities in the context of Indonesian customary villages while strengthening the discourse on knowledge decolonization and cultural pedagogy in the digital transformation era.

Abstract

Advances in educational technology have introduced immersive tools such as Virtual Reality (VR) to support complex learning, especially in abstract fields like chemistry. Metaverselab was developed to provide a safe virtual environment for conducting laboratory experiments, yet early implementation revealed substantial usability issues. Students experienced difficulties with the interface, confusion in navigation, and insufficient guidance, which affected the overall learning experience. This study aims to evaluate and improve the usability and user experience of the Metaverselab platform using a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. The research applied an iterative process involving 40 student respondents and used two standardized instruments: the System Usability Scale (SUS) and the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). Both instruments were administered during the initial and final evaluation stages to measure changes in usability and user experience after improvements were introduced. Initial results showed low usability, with an average SUS score of 50.81 and UEQ benchmark values categorized as “Bad” in all dimensions. Based on these findings, specific user requirements were identified and translated into targeted design solutions. Key improvements included an interactive tutorial for first-time users, descriptive information pop-ups for laboratory tools, and undo–redo functions to support error recovery during experiments. Post-implementation testing demonstrated substantial improvement. The average SUS score increased by 44.16% to 73.25, placing the system in the “Good” usability category. UEQ results also improved significantly, with the Efficiency dimension rated “Excellent,” while Attractiveness, Perspicuity, and Stimulation were rated “Good.” These results confirm that the UCD approach effectively identifies user needs and produces design interventions that enhance the usability, efficiency, and overall learning experience of virtual educational platforms.
