Abstract

Gigi bagi seorang anak sangat penting dalam tumbuh kembang anak itu sendiri, terutama pada usia anak Sekolah Dasar kelas 1, karena pada usia ini gigi permanen mulai erupsi dan perlu diperhatian agar tidak terjadi kerusakan dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan orang tua kelas 1 tentang pertumbuhan gigi pada anak usia Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan seluruh orang tua siswa kelas 1 disebuah SD di Kabupaten Subang yang berjumlah 21 orang. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk google form.  Data akan di analisis dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel distribusi frekuensi yang menggambarkan situasi pengetahuan orang tua siswa tentang pertumbuhan gigi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebanyak 47,6% orang tua kurang mengetahui tentang periode pertumbuhan gigi kemudian sebanyak 66,7% orang tua kurang mengetahui tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi erupsi gigi. Tingkat pendidikan responden tentang pengetahuan pertumbuhan gigi terdapat dalam kategori kurang adalah orang tua dari kelompok lulusan SD yaitu sebesar 33,3% sedangkan tingkat pekerjaan responden pada aspek pengetahuan tentang pertumbuhan gigi terdapat dalam kategori kurang adalah orang tua dari kelompok ibu rumah tangga yaitu sebesar 47,6%.

Abstract

The bad habit of smoking makes tar, one of the components in cigarettes, which is sticky, making it easier for plaque to stick to the surface of the teeth. Plaque that is not cleaned properly over time will form tartar. Tartar can cause discomfort to a person, as well as client Mr. DF who felt disturbed and uncomfortable with this tartar. This study aims to determine the results of Dental and Oral Health Care on the client of Mr. DF (26 Years) with complaints of tartar at the clinic of the Department of Dental Health Bandung. This research method is a case report with the concept of dental and oral health care which consists of a process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. This report describes cases of tartar and bad smoking habits. The results of the initial assessment found tartar with a score of 19, stain, 4 teeth with caries, 1 remaining root of the tooth and free plaque score of 35%. After the examination, it was stated that the results of the diagnosis were that there were 5 human needs that were not met. To fulfill these 5 basic human needs, scaling, stain cleaning, fillings, tooth extraction, counseling using the Chair Side Talk and Oral Physiotherapy. The evaluation results show that the 8 basic human needs of the client have been met after treatment.

Abstract

Community behavior is strongly influenced by knowledge of dental health which is still low so that public awareness of the importance of maintaining and maintaining dental and oral health is also low. Riskesdas 2018 data, only 2.8% of the Indonesian population aged more than 3 years who have brushed their teeth properly, brushing 2 times a day in the morning after eating and at night before going to bed. Health education through video media has advantages in terms of providing good visualization so as to facilitate the process of absorbing knowledge. The implementation method includes several activities, namely: providing dental and oral health training for Islamic Islamic Boarding School Madrasah teachers no. 13, carrying out mentoring when trained teachers carry out "knowledge transfer" to students, carrying out mentoring when teachers provide material counseling dental health for their students, providing assistance when teachers develop a mass toothbrushing program using video tutorials on brushing teeth and scheduled counseling for students and carrying out evaluations. Results of Dental Health Training for 10 partner teachers-1 and 10 partner teachers-2 selected accompanied by cognitive evaluation in the form of pre-posttest and evaluation of brushing skills; Toothbrush guidance along with video screening of Toothbrushing Tutorials for Ibtidaiyah and Madrasah Diniyah students. The results of the training for teachers from both Madrasahs are quite good where there is an increase in the average achievement of pre and posttest scores.
