Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada materi konsep energi  dan sumber energi guna meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas VII SMP, 2) mendeskripsikan kualitas LKS berbasis PjBL yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan 4D. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penilaian untuk beberapa reviewer. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitas LKS. Berdasarkan penilaian dosen ahli, peer reviewer, dan guru IPA diperoleh skor rata-rata 141,9 dengan persentase keidealan 81,1% menyatakan bahwa kualitas LKS Sangat Baik. Hasil tanggapan siswa diperoleh skor rata-rata 75 dengan persentase keidealan 88,2% menyatakan bahwa kualitas LKS Sangat Baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Developing The Student’s Worksheet Based on Project Based Learning to Improve Student Science Process Skills on Junior High School Abstract This research was aimed to: 1) produced a student’s worksheet based on project based learning on concept of energy and energy resources material to improve he student’s science process skills in seven grade of Junior High School, 2) described the quality of student’s worksheet based on project based learning was developed. This research is include research and development with 4D models. Data collection technique used  assessment instrument for reviewers. Data analysis technique used analysis quality of student’s worksheet. According to assessment of expert lecturer, peer reviewer, and natural science teacher got an average score of 141,9 with ideal presentage of 81,1% stated that the quality of student’s worksheet was very good. The result of students respons got an average score of 75 with ideal percentage of 88,2% stated that the quality of student’s worksheet was very good. In conclusion that the student’s worksheet had been developed was feasible to implement on the lesson.

Abstract

This study aims to improve problem-solving skills and learning achievement by applying the Karplus Learning Cycle Model on students of class VC of SD N 2 Padokan Bantul, totaling 20 students. This research was a classroom action research and was carried out in two cycles.  Data collection techniques were test and non-test. Students? problem-solving skills data were collected using pretest and posttest as well as observation sheets, while science learning achievement of students was taken using pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that problem-solving skills and learning achievements of the students in class VC SD N 2 Padokan can be improved through learning with the Karplus Learning Cycle Model. Each stage of the Karplus Learning Cycle Model can improve aspects of problem-solving skills and student learning achievement. The Exploration stage increases the aspect of understanding the problem. The Explanation phase enhances the aspects of planning a solution. The concept application stage improves aspects of solving problems and evaluating problem-solving. Improved problem-solving skills are proven through test results, where the average N gain of class in the first cycle was 0.37 with the moderate category, up to 0.70 with the high category in the second cycle.  This is also strengthened from the results of observations, where the average scores of the class increase from the first cycle of 67.61% with a pretty good category to 91.66% with a very good category in the second cycle.  The increase in student learning achievements is evidenced through the results of the test, where an increase in the number of students who reached KKM 75 from the first cycle as much as 90% to 100% in the second cycle.

Abstract

Learning tools are things that must be prepared by educators before carrying out learning activities. Learning tools serve as guidelines and guidelines for teachers in implementing a systematic and integrated learning process. This study aims to find out how to develop and the feasibility of Inquiry-based science learning tools with Tri N teaching for seventh grade junior high school students. This research includes research and development (Research and Development) using the 4D development model consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate. However, the Dessiminate stage was not carried out on this development due to time and cost limitations. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire covering several aspects of the study. The quality of the RPP is assessed by expert lecturers and the quality of the LKPD is assessed by media experts, material experts, student experts, and peer reviewers. Quality value data obtained were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis based on an ideal assessment. The results showed that Inquiry-based science learning tools with Tri N teaching for seventh grade junior high school students were deemed fit for use in science learning with the assessment of RPP products based on expert lecturers obtaining an idealized percentage of 79.16% and LKPD product assessments based on media experts with a percentage of ideals of 85.23%, material experts 96.42%, student expertise 96.42%, while peer reviewers 85.24%.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on science learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP in terms of problem solving skills. This research was a quasi-experimental research design, using pretest posttest. Descriptive results showed that the tendency of science learning outcomes with PBL models was obtained on average in the experimental class of 22.67 including very high categories, and classes taught by the lecture method were 17.47 in the high category. Whereas for problem solving skills students taught with PBL obtained an average of 78.54 which included high and class categories taught by the lecture method of 70.38 which included the high category as well. Based on the test of the Anakova obtained Fcount = 10.723 with p = 0.002. From the data obtained, the hypothesis was accepted and significant. Comparatively there were very significant differences in science learning outcomes of class VII students between PBL learning model and the expository model in terms of students' very significant problem solving skills.

Abstract

This study aims to explore ethnoscience at the stage of dyeing woven fabrics, recommending science teaching materials related to Buton woven fabrics, especially in natural dye additives, and inviting the public to preserve the culture of woven fabrics. Ethnoscience is the science that is used to understand how people's original knowledge in the process of dyeing woven fabrics can be constructed into scientific scientific knowledge. The dyeing of the weaving threads is still done traditionally by using materials obtained from nature. The research was conducted in the Colorful Weaving Village. This research is a qualitative descriptive research through the process of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The research data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Triangulation of sources by comparing the results of interviews with journal sources and websites. The results showed that at the stage of dyeing Buton woven fabrics, they contained junior high school science concepts, namely plant classification, natural dye additives, substance particles, molecules, simple planes, energy changes, solution concentration, and physical changes that could be used in contextual science learning. in school.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 menuntut peserta didik untuk menjadi pelajar yang mandiri. Namun, sebagian besar peserta didik masih mengalami ketergantungan terhadap guru dalam belajar, sehingga keterampilan proses sains peserta didik masih rendah. Pada masa pandemi COVID-19 dibutuhkan bahan ajar berupa modul daring yang dapat membantu ketrampilan proses sains pada pembelajaran IPA secara mandiri. Peserta didik dapat belajar secara mandiri tanpa atau dengan bimbingan guru. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan modul yang sesuai dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VIII pada pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan model Borg dan Gall yang dibatasi pada tahap research and information collecting. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu analisis kualitatif dengan pengumpuan data melalui hasil kajian literatur terkait modul, keterampilan proses sains, dan Tri Nga. Tahap research and information collecting memberikan hasil bahwa Modul Usaha dan Pesawat Sederhana Berbasis Ngerti, Ngrasa, Nglakoni (Tri Nga) sesuai digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas VIII.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and determine the advisability of chemical worksheets based on a scientific approach to improve students' critical thinking skills. The research method uses five design research steps simplified from Borg's and Gall's research and development. The subject of this research are science education program students at one university in Indonesia. Validation subject matter feasibility on the worksheets is 4.34 (best criteria), while the feasibility is 4.17 (best standards). A random assessment from several students is obtaining an average score of 98.67% (positive response). The research results conclude that a worksheet is advisable for students. Expert opinion conveys that using a scientific approach to the problems presented in the worksheet reveals stimulates, encourages, and improves critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the science concepts in the dyeing process of Ulos woven fabrics that will be used as a science learning resource for junior high schools. An ethnoscience study by exploring the original science contained in a community group based on scientific science. This study used a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach through the process of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The location of research was carried out at the Ulos Batak By Gallery at Manjunjung Hutabarat, Jl. Major General. Y Samosir No, 76, Partalijulu Village, Tarutung District, North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The instruments used were observation sheets, interview guidelines, and questionnaires. Collecting data through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. To test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques (source, technique, and time). Based on the results of the study, it is known that the natural dyeing process in the manufacture of Ulos fabric includes the preparation of materials (plants), the plant processing stage, the dissolving stage of natural dyes, the dyeing stage, the drying stage, the fixation stage, the washing stage, and the final drying stage. The science concepts in the curriculum 2013 are in accordance with the process of coloring Ulos cloth, and namely plant classification, solid pressure, heat transfer, physical changes, energy in living systems, separation of mixtures, boiling points, temperatures and their changes, chemical changes, elements, compounds, mixtures. It can be concluded that the manufacture of Ulos woven fabric in this study is a learning resource that can integrate learning materials in various fields of science fabrics (physics, biology).
