Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the science governance of Islamic education, which is strengthened by the annual activity, the Darul Hikam education conference (DHEC), which is held by the Darul Hikam Bandung college. The method used is a phenomenological type of qualitative research. The data is analyzed philosophically, historically and pedagogically. The results of this study indicate that science governance in Islamic education is a necessity to be adaptive to technological developments, especially the metaverse through the readiness of concepts, human resources, hardware and software, and support from government policies. The 2022 DHEC program discusses how education governance needs to be prepared for changes in digital technology through seminars and calls for papers.

Abstract

Abstract

The digital transformation of academic services requires that university admission websites not only function informatively but also provide a positive digital experience. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use on behavioral intention, mediated by Digital Customer Experience (DCX), within the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework. An explanatory quantitative approach was employed through a survey of 200 prospective students using the admission website of Universitas Persatuan Islam. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that perceived usefulness (β=0.452) and perceived ease of use (β=0.381) significantly affect DCX. DCX significantly influences behavioral intention (β=0.347) and partially mediates the effects of both exogenous variables. The model exhibits strong predictive power (R² DCX=0.648, R² BI=0.701). These findings offer an applicable DCX-TAM evaluation model to improve digital admission services in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital experience on enrollment intention in Islamic Higher Education Institutions with trust as a mediating variable. The research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. Data were collected from 206 prospective students who were in the process of selecting Islamic Higher Education Institutions in Indonesia through an online questionnaire adapted from validated scales. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26.0 through descriptive statistics, classical assumption testing, multiple regression analysis, and the Sobel mediation test. The results showed that digital experience has a positive and significant effect on trust (β = 0.752, p < 0.001), digital experience has a positive and significant effect on enrollment intention (β = 0.238, p < 0.001), and trust has a positive and significant effect on enrollment intention (β = 0.538, p < 0.001). Furthermore, trust was proven to partially mediate the relationship between digital experience and enrollment intention (indirect effect = 0.397, z = 7.856, p < 0.001). These findings confirm that superior digital experience not only directly drives enrollment intention but also indirectly through trust-building. This study provides theoretical contributions by extending the Technology Acceptance Model in the context of Islamic higher education marketing and offers practical implications for Islamic Higher Education institution administrators to optimize digital platforms and trust-based communication strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Darul Hikam Education Conference (DHEC) in 2022 in improving teacher readiness in implementing the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in junior high schools in Bandung City. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through interviews with 5 teachers who attended the conference and documentation of conference activities. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative analysis methods. The study found that the DHEC was effective in improving teacher readiness in implementing the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. The conference provided teachers with important knowledge and skills related to the curriculum and helped them to develop a positive attitude towards the curriculum. Teachers perceived the conference as an important and effective learning opportunity that helped them to overcome various challenges in implementing the curriculum. The study also found that documentation of conference activities provided important insights into the effectiveness of the conference. These data sources provided evidence of the ways in which the conference helped to improve teacher readiness and facilitate the implementation of the curriculum. Overall, this study provides important insights into the effectiveness of the DHEC in improving teacher readiness in implementing the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. The findings of this study have important implications for educational practitioners and policymakers who seek to improve the implementation of the curriculum in schools.
