Abstract

The Sawangan community is one of the references in building harmony between religious people. Local Traditions have made it a symbol of community identity as well as a unifying relationship between religions. This article will explain the local traditional values ​​of the Sawangan community. The research method was carried out by in-depth interviews. Peter L. Berger's theory becomes an analytical tool in finding the process of internalizing local traditions in a plural society. The object of the research was carried out at the Sawangan Magelang location. The research finding is that the diversity of the community can inspire because, from upstream to downstream, there are synergies in building communities through local traditions. Friction between communities can be addressed quickly and responsively. People get comfort in carrying out activities through various cultural arts activities. Various religious backgrounds are united in the frame of local traditions as well as become the glue between the people. Local traditions internalize in society to create a peaceful society that is tolerant of all religions and beliefs. The spirit of togetherness fosters empathy and sympathy to complement each other in their work so that local traditional values ​​have internalized the Sawangan community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of the health behavior of garbage man during the new normal. Researchers want to see how garbage man perform healthy behavior, starting from disease prevention, healing disease when sick, seeking and using health services. This study uses a qualitative research method because the researcher intends to describe the perception of health behavior of garbage man in the new normal period by using the health behavior theory of Becker. In this study, the informants were workers who transported garbage in Surabaya. The results of the study stated that the health behavior carried out by the garbage man when he felt symptoms of pain, he would use his perception of the pain he felt, then consider various possible advantages and disadvantages of the treatment action to be taken in order to make the right decision in carrying out the treatment. action so that the body returns to health.

Abstract

Research on the preferences for choosing a partner in Generation Z examines changes in views regarding the value of virginity and virginity status which are undergoing transformation along with developments in time and technology. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach and focuses on teenagers born from 1997 to 2012 and domiciled in Surabaya as the research population. This research uses a purposive sampling technique with data collection tools and methods using in-depth interviews supported by primary and secondary data. In general, it was found that Generation Z in Surabaya is looking for a comprehensive life partner by considering cognitive and emotional aspects. They also emphasized the importance of gender equality in romantic relationships, a focus on shared values, and the ability to work together to face life's challenges ahead.

Abstract

The village of Pandhi's work is a village whose community activities are traditional blacksmith craftsmen in Paterongan Village, Galis District, Bangkalan Regency, traditional blacksmith craftsmen are a form of community economic existence based on the community's ability to process metal and iron traditionally into tools used daily such as clurit, machetes, knives. The sustainability of this blacksmith craft business still requires further development, especially with regard to institutions and skills. The research method used to determine the existence of traditional blacksmith crafts uses qualitative research methods by collecting data by conducting interviews and observations to traditional blacksmith craftsmen. Based on the results of the study, it is known that this traditional blacksmith craft is a hereditary family business, Blacksmiths also work with the concept of full-time and part-time, their social activities as blacksmiths that make them have a “workshop” in each house that is used to process iron into tools that are ready for sale. The existence of this traditional blacksmith craft is not only related to how the community can survive but how socially, economically supported by the existence of this traditional blacksmith craft. Blacksmith crafts included in the informal sector require capacity building from relevant stakeholders such as the local district government so that the characteristics of traditional blacksmith crafts are not eroded by changes and the iron and metal processing industry on a large scale.

Abstract

This scientific paper discusses the strengthening of the Inovboyo program (innovation in the city of Suroboyo) to support smart society development in Surabaya as a smart city. The two main research questions addressed are how the Inovboyo program acts as a catalyst for innovation and stakeholder collaboration in Surabaya. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. The results indicate that the Inovboyo program has successfully promoted innovation and smart society development in Surabaya. Effective stakeholder collaboration and the utilization of technology for publicity are key factors in the program's success

Abstract

In a complicated and evolving environment, this research delves deeply into the ways that men and women of Generation Z express their sexual agency about virginity. Social pressures, cultural conventions, and the fast advancement of technology are all present in today's environment. The authors discovered through extensive qualitative research techniques and explored the perspectives of Generation Z (Gen Z) individuals in Surabaya City, Indonesia, that Generation Z handles their decisions about virginity in very personal and distinctive ways, frequently questioning and opposing conventional standards and expectations. The research aims to understand how Gen Z navigates their sexual choices in a complex socio-cultural environment. This article also assesses the effects of Generation Z's choices about virginity on their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. The findings demonstrate that, depending on the person and social situation, these decisions can have important and diverse outcomes. However, the authors stress that further study is required to completely comprehend the ramifications of this decision. The study employs in-depth interviews and focus group discussions as primary data collection methods. Participants include Gen Z individuals aged between 18 and 24 years, residing in Surabaya city. All things considered, this article offers significant new perspectives on how Generation Z perceives and uses their sexual agency when they are virgins. By offering a greater understanding of how young people navigate and comprehend their sexuality in a complicated world. Keywords: Virginity; Gender; Generation Z; Sexual Right (Agency).
