Abstract

This study aims was to determine the rice marketing channel, the magnitude of marketing margins earned any marketing agencies in each of the rice marketing channel at 3 villages in Subdistrict of Sibulue-Bone Regency, namely  Kalibong, Polewali, and Massenrengpulu village.  Respondent in research are farmers, traders, wholesalers and retailers. The results found that rice marketing in this area there are three forms of marketing distribution channel that is marketing channel I, farmer → consumer. Marketing channel II, farmers → wholesalers → retailers → consumer. Marketing channel III, farmers → wholesalers → consumers. In channel I does not have the amount of marketing margin because it does not go through intermediaries, on channel II the amount of margin earned by Rp.1.000 consists of margin traders of Rp.500, 00, retailers of Rp. 500.00. As for channel III the amount of margin obtained is Rp.500.00. So a profitable marketing channel that is channel I.

Abstract

Penyuluh pertanian merupakan ujung tombak dalam upaya mengembangkan sektor agricultura di Indonesia. Melalui kegiatan penyuluhan, petani dapat memperoleh informasi, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan yang diperlukan dalam mengelola usaha tani secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Menganalisis metode penyuluhan pertanian yang digunakan di Kecamatan Wonomulyo, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar; dan (2) Membuat analisis pengaruh metode penyuluhan terhadap peningkatan Ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani di wilayah tersebut. Riset ini dilakukan selama tiga bulan, mulai Januari hingga Maret 2025, dengan  lokasi penelitian di Kecamatan Wonomulyo. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari responden petani yang dipilih  menggunakan teknik proporsional sampling. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah Uji-T. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa semua metode yang yang diterapkan dikecamatan Wonomulyo dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dimana Metode demplot, anjangsana, pelatihan dan Sekolah lapang (SL) menjadi metode yang memiliki kategori sangat tinggi sementara temu wicara dan studi banding memiliki kategori tinggi. Agricultural extension serves as a frontline effort in developing the agricultural sector in Indonesia. Through extension activities, farmers can acquire the information, knowledge, and skills needed to manage their farming businesses effectively. This study aims to: (1) Analyze agricultural extension methods used in Wonomulyo Subdistrict, Polewali Mandar Regency; and (2) Examine the influence of these extension methods on enhancing farmers' knowledge and skills in the region. The research was conducted over three months, from January to March 2025, in Wonomulyo Subdistrict. The study sample consisted of farmer respondents selected using proportional sampling techniques. The analytical tool used was the T-Test. The research findings indicate that all methods applied in Wonomulyo Subdistrict improved farmers' knowledge and skills. Among these, the demonstration plot, farm visits, training, and Farmers Field School (FFS) methods were categorized as having a very high impact, while discussion forums and comparative studies were categorized as having a high impact.

Abstract

Pangan adalah isu yang sensitif di mana asupan makanan yang bergizi sangat jauh dari ideal di beberapa negara berkembang seperti Indonesia. Pemahaman tentang keragaman makanan yang tersedia dengan berbagai alternatif untuk dikonsumsi juga sangat terbatas. Pola konsumsi pangan yang beragam, bergizi, berimbang dan aman adalah sesuatu yang sangat penting. Untuk itu, merancang solusi alternatif dan merekomendasikan kemungkinan bagi perbaikan pangan dan gizi pada tingkat masyarakat , khususnya petani sebagai sumber produksi sumber daya pangan. Studi ini meneliti pola konsumsi pangan pada keluarga petani yang berbasis program pemberdayaan. Riset ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli hingga Agustus 2025 di Kelurahan Takatidung di Kecamatan Polewali, Sulawesi Barat.  Melibatkan 35 keluarga tani dan beberapa stakeholder terkait yang berhubungan dengan pangan. Kuesioner frekuensi makan yang divalidasi dan penarikan recall makan 24 jam diberikan kepada sampel total 34 keluarga petani. Analisis Deskriftif, Analisis Pola Pangan Harapan (PPH), serta Regresi Linear Berganda digunakan untuk menganalisis data.Penelitian ini juga menegaskan bahwa faktor sosial, ekonomi, budaya, pengetahuan gizi, pendapatan, jumlah keluarga, pendidikan dan usia sangat memengaruhi pola konsumsi pangan keluarga tani di wilayah penelitian. Mayoritas rumah tangga  tani menerapkan pola konsumsi yang cukup terhadap umbi-umbian, pangan hewani, sayur dan buah. Keluarga tani seharusnya dapat menerapkan pola konsumsi pangan yang ideal dengan berbagai alternatif seperti memanfaatkan pangan sumber protein, pengelolaan pangan, dan pengetahuan gizi sehingga dapat mencapai pola pangan yang ideal, makanan sehat berbiaya rendah, manajemen kelembagaan yang baik dalam merancang  penciptaan kesadaran dan program  pemberdayaan  untuk mendorong produksi pangan dan mendapatkan akses makanan bergizi. Food is a sensitive issue where nutritious food intake is far from ideal in some developing countries, such as Indonesia. Understanding of the diversity of available foods with various alternatives for consumption is also very limited. A diverse, nutritious, balanced, and safe food consumption pattern is very important, designing alternative solutions and recommending possibilities for improving food and nutrition at the community level, especially for farmers as a source of food resource production. This study examines food consumption patterns in farming families based on an empowerment program. This research was conducted from July 2025 to August 2025 in Takatidung Village in Polewali District, West Sulawesi. Involving a sampling of 35 farming families and several related stakeholders related to food. A validated food frequency questionnaire and 24-hour food recall were administered to a total sample of 34 farming families. Descriptive Analysis, Expected Food Pattern Analysis (PPH), and Multiple Linear Regression were used to analyze the data. This study also confirms that social, economic, cultural factors, nutritional knowledge, income, family size, education, and age greatly influence the food consumption patterns of farming families in the research area. The majority of farming households apply sufficient consumption patterns for tubers, animal foods, vegetables, and fruits. Farming families should be able to apply ideal food consumption patterns with various alternatives, such as utilizing protein sources, food management, and nutritional knowledge, so that they can achieve ideal food patterns, low-cost healthy food, and good institutional management in designing awareness creation and empowerment programs to encourage food production and gain access to nutritious food.
