Abstract

Increased economic growth slowly but surely could encourage the opening of uncontrolled new lands, decline in the function of protected areas that could threaten the sustainability of agricultural production in the area. This study aims to minimize degradation of protected area function in Enrekang Regency through mapping of protected area based on geographic information system and overlay technique. The results showed that the referral of protected area function was spread in 12 districts with an area of 181,888.45 Ha, as a protected function area, buffer zone, annual cultivation area, as well as cultivation area of annual crops and settlement. Of these areas, approximately 35,834.03 Ha are suitable for land use in protected and unsuitable areas 45,256,76 Ha. The referral of protected area function  is expected to suppress inappropriate land use so that the legal access of the community in this area is needed, to manage and utilize the land in increasing their economic level while maintaining the sustainability and preventing the destruction of the protected area.

Abstract

Pepper is a commodity which has a potential to be developed because it is an important commodity. The farming of pepper is necessary high investments so that it needs a feasibility study of the pepper of farmer’s level. The study aims to to determine feasibility of pepper farming in Tanete Village, based on nonfinancial aspect such as market aspect, technical aspect, management aspect, and also social, economic, and environmental aspect. Methods of analysis data which are used on this research is qualitative. The research result showed that the pepper farming in Tanete Village, Maiwa Subdistrict-Enrekang District is feasible to be done .

Abstract

Business continuity that provides a home meal especially palekko menu can not be predicted so that business owners are required to develop appropriate strategies to develop the quality of the product in maintaining their business. This study aims to determine the strategy for developing the culinary quality of palekko ducks in Sidenreng Rappang Regency using SWOT analysis. The results of the matrix show the strategies that can be applied by the business owner is to open a business branch, promote, maintain and improve the quality of products, services, and HR by compiling a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), working with suppliers with a work contract system to ensure availability of materials raw.

Abstract

This study aims was to determine the rice marketing channel, the magnitude of marketing margins earned any marketing agencies in each of the rice marketing channel at 3 villages in Subdistrict of Sibulue-Bone Regency, namely  Kalibong, Polewali, and Massenrengpulu village.  Respondent in research are farmers, traders, wholesalers and retailers. The results found that rice marketing in this area there are three forms of marketing distribution channel that is marketing channel I, farmer → consumer. Marketing channel II, farmers → wholesalers → retailers → consumer. Marketing channel III, farmers → wholesalers → consumers. In channel I does not have the amount of marketing margin because it does not go through intermediaries, on channel II the amount of margin earned by Rp.1.000 consists of margin traders of Rp.500, 00, retailers of Rp. 500.00. As for channel III the amount of margin obtained is Rp.500.00. So a profitable marketing channel that is channel I.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan limbah ternak menjadi biogas merupakan usaha menghasilkan sumber energi terbarukan yang menguntungkan bagi peternak dan masyarakat sekitar peternakan.  Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis kelayakan aspek lingkungan dari usaha pemanfaatan limbah sapi menjadi biogas di Kelurahan Tatae Kecamatan Duampanua Kabupaten Pinrang. Dengan cara wawancara langsung dengan peternak dan 40 orang warga masyarakat di sekitar instalasi biogas, diperoleh informasi jika usaha pemanfaatan limbah sapi menjadi biogas di wilayah ini bisa terus melanjutkan dan mengembangkan, mengingat masyarakat sekitar sangat merasakan manfaatnya termasuk menggunakan biogas sebagai energi alternatif yang ramah lingkungan dan sangat terjangkau.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh atribut produk terhadap preferensi konsumen pada ubi jalar ungu di Desa Ajakkang Kecamatan Soppeng Riaja Kabupaten Barru. Metode dasar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dan dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Lokasi penelitian dipilih secara sengaja yaitu Desa Ajakkang, yang merupakan salah satu pemasaran ubi jalar di Desa Ajakkang. Responden ditentukan dengan metode accidental sampling yaitu 30 responden. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode analisis chisquare. Hasil analisis chisquer menunjukkan bahwa apakah terdapat pengaruh atribut produk terhadap preferensi konsumen pada ubi jalar ungu atau tidak terdapat pengaruh atribut produk terhadap preferensi konsumen pada ubi jalar ungu di Desa Ajakkang Kecamatan Soppeng Riaja Kabupaten Barru.Ubi jalar ungu yang menjadi preferensi konsumen di Desa Ajakkang adalah ubi jalar ungu yang mempunyai atribut: rasa manis, bentuk lonjong teratur, ukuran sedang, dan kebersihan kulit bersih.

Abstract

The BUMDes fish processing business unit group experienced obstacles regarding the function of packaging and how to market digitally in the sale of Dempo fish products.  The purpose of this PKM is to create the right packaging to maintain product quality; and expand product marketing areas to increase sales productivity through digital marketing. The method is carried out through training and mentoring in the form of packaging practices with the use of vacuum sealers, the creation of e-commerce sales accounts integrated into social media, and the evaluation stage of activities. The results of this community service activity show an increase in the skills of the partner group in utilizing packaging tools for Dempo fish produced (78%) so that product packaging is more attractive and supports shelf life to maintain product quality. With the packaging technology used, the knowledge of partner group members in understanding the function of packaging that affects marketing has also increased (80%). This has an impact on the increase in sales turnover received through social media owned by members of the partner group. If previously it was known that the sales turnover of this product was IDR 16 million per year or equivalent to IDR 1.3 million per month, then after the PKM activity there was an increase in sales turnover of IDR 2.1 million at the same price within 3 weeks.
