Abstract

In automotive learning, teachers generally use books and teaching aids as learning media. Automotive learning outcomes show the low value of learning outcomes. Thus a learning media is needed that can help improve learning outcomes. One way to overcome this problem is to use learning media that utilize augmented reality technology. In this study, a learning media using augmented reality technology based on android was developed to simulate the brake system on four-wheeled vehicles in 3 dimensions. The Augmented Reality work system used is marker based tracking, and uses 3D Max software and the Vuforia plug-in. In terms of pedagogy, this learning system uses the Modality Principle. Participants are class XI students of SMK YPM 4 Taman. This research uses experimental research. The students involved were 44 students divided into 2 groups, with each group consisting of 22 students. Both groups received a pre-test and a post-test. The experimental group was given treatment with Augmented Reality-based learning media, while the control group did not use conventional learning media. After making comparisons, the results show less than optimal due to the pandemic period. The results showed that the pre-test result between the control group and the experimental group was 49.32, and the post-test result for the control group was 62.73, while for the experimental group it was 73.18. So that from the difference in the difference in post-test scores between the experimental group and the control group shows that the treatment factor by providing Augmented Reality-based learning media in the experimental group has an influence. From observations and interviews, students were more active in learning activities and students were eager to take part in learning. This proves that students are interested in this media which can generate motivation to learn.

Abstract

There are many uses for digital image processing, ranging from tumor and cancer detection in the body to reading blood cells. The rate of lung cancer represents about 13.27% of the total cancer cases, and this shows that lung cancer is the main type of disease in men. Lung cancer is one of the most dangerous and life-threatening diseases in the world. In Indonesia, lung cancer is more often detected when patients are at an advanced stage. Therefore, in this paper, we applied Deep Learning to solve a lung cancer malignant detection system; it is used to detect and classify nodule areas. So that lung cancer detection can be obtained with accurate results. This paper explains the working system for detecting lung cancer malignancies using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and the model architecture for training the dataset using the EfficientNet model. This study collected 800 lung CT images from PHC Surabaya Hospital in DICOM format. A total of 13 layers with EfficientNet architecture and classification layers for each type of cancer class have been used in the model. The experimental results of the model achieved satisfactory results with an accuracy of 99.46%, with a maximum epoch of 30 and a mini-batch size of 128.

Abstract

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly impacted education, including foundational courses such as Digital Circuits in Electrical Engineering. AI offers substantial opportunities through personalized learning, interactive simulations, and teaching efficiency. However, unmonitored use of AI poses challenges, including students’ dependency on instant answers, declining learning motivation, and degradation of critical thinking skills. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of ten academic articles published between 2019–2024, complemented by reflections from teaching experience before and after the mid-term examination. The findings reveal that AI integration must be proportional. Prior to the mid-term, students tended to engage in covert use of AI, while after the mid-term, the adoption of a guided use model, combined with group assignments, improved both conceptual understanding and social interaction. These findings led to the formulation of the AI–Humanistic learning model, which integrates AI with humanistic values such as critical thinking, collaboration, and social relationships. This study is limited to a single course, Digital Circuits, and thus further research is needed to validate the AI–Humanistic model across different courses and involving more instructors to provide a more comprehensive perspective.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that influence the intention to continue using the mobile payment application during the new normal period after the COVID-19 pandemic, using the Extended Expectation Confirmation Model (EECM) approach. EECM combines aspects of the Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM) with other external factors, ECM is used to understand and explain decision-making related to the continued use of mobile payments. This research was conducted by analyzing data from respondents who have used mobile payment applications after the pandemic. The data was collected through an online survey and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) software, 406 individuals were selected to serve as research participants. The results of the analysis show that factors such as satisfaction, and trust have a significant influence on the continuance intention of mobile payments. In addition, in the context of the new normal, factor such as social influence factors are known to have no significant influence on mobile payment continuance intention. As a result, this research contributes to understanding the factors that influence the intention to continue using mobile payment applications. The validity and reliability test results show that the survey instrument used has an adequate level of validity and reliability, supporting the quality and reliability of the analysis conducted.
