Abstract

In the era of rapidly developing technology, playing social media has become a routine for the society. The world seems to be turning digital. Humans always need interaction and interaction requires certain ways. The most used means of interaction today is social media. Social media is one of the most exciting activities online today, but, social media also has an impact on its users, both positive and negative impacts. The positive impact of social media can add insight and meet many people. But behind that there are negative impacts related to social media abuse. This study aims to find out what are the impacts of social media and how important social media is for character education and the importance of holding a training entitled "Social Media Wise Training as an Effort to Build Community Character in Rajabasa Lama Village". Using offline training methods which are then evaluated by distributing questionnaires to collect the data we need from the community. Therefore, according to the servants, there is a need for social media wise training so that people can make better use of social media and this training can be used as an effort to build the character of the people of Rajabasa Lama Village.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengelolaan sumber daya pedesaan sangat penting untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat, khususnya di desa terpencil seperti Desa Rajabasa Lama, Lampung Timur. Desa ini memiliki potensi besar dalam budidaya tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA) yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Pelatihan bagi perempuan desa tentang TOGA diharapkan menjadi langkah strategis dalam pemberdayaan dan peningkatan ekonomi keluarga. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan perempuan tentang TOGA dan memanfaatkan sumber daya pedesaan melalui budidaya TOGA. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, yang menjelaskan kajian sumber daya alam pedesaan dan manfaat TOGA, serta demonstrasi langsung teknik penanaman, perawatan, pemeliharaan, dan pengolahan TOGA. Evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berhasil mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan, dengan peserta memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang memadai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta sebesar 85% tentang budidaya dan pemanfaatan TOGA. Sasaran pelatihan, materi yang direncanakan, dan pengelolaan materi oleh peserta telah berjalan baik dan efektif. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan budidaya TOGA di Desa Rajabasa Lama berhasil memberdayakan perempuan desa, meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya pedesaan, serta memberikan dampak positif bagi kesehatan dan perekonomian keluarga. Kata Kunci: Perempuan, Sumber Daya Perdesaan, Pemberdayaan  ABSTRACT Rural resource management is very important for community welfare, especially in remote villages such as Rajabasa Lama Village, East Lampung. This village has great potential in cultivating family medicinal plants (TOGA) which has not been utilized optimally. Training for village women on TOGA is expected to be a strategic step in empowering and improving the family economy. The aim of this service is to increase women's knowledge about TOGA and utilize rural resources through TOGA cultivation. The methods used include lectures, which explain the study of rural natural resources and the benefits of TOGA, as well as direct demonstrations of TOGA planting, care, maintenance and processing techniques. Evaluation shows that the training successfully achieved the expected objectives, with participants gaining adequate knowledge and skills. The research results showed an 85% increase in participants' understanding of the cultivation and use of TOGA. The training targets, planned materials, and material management by participants have gone well and effectively. In conclusion, TOGA cultivation training in Rajabasa Lama Village succeeded in empowering village women, increasing their knowledge and skills in utilizing rural resources, as well as providing a positive impact on the health and economy of their families. Keywords: Women, Rural Resources, Empowerment
