Abstract

This research is a quantitative study to determine the effect of educational background on the understanding of the science concept of UPY PGSD students. This research is based on the low understanding of the science concept as evidenced by the percentage of science learning test results, namely 67.6% of the total number of semester 2 PGSD UPY students scored below 80. The method used in this research is ex post facto quantitative which is used to determine the cause of the low understanding of students' science concepts in terms of their educational background. The data collection used an educational background questionnaire and a science concept understanding test that had been tested for validity and reliability. The research shows the results of the t-test namely tcount<ttable (0.095 < 0.931), then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, which means that there is no significant influence between students' educational background on the understanding of science concepts. However, there is a unidirectional relationship between the two with the result of a positive correlation test (r) of 0.055 and contributing an influence of 0.3% from the educational background on understanding the science concept of PGSD UPY students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop content-differentiated science student worksheets for students of the elementary school teacher education study program, especially on the subject of the human respiratory system, and analyze its effect on student collaboration skills. This research method used research and development with the 4D model (define, design, development, and dissemination). The sample in this study was 142 2nd semester students of elementary school teacher education study program at PGRI University Yogyakarta. The data was taken through student worksheets documentation, score lists, interviews, observations, validation assessment scales, and student collaboration skills questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this study used qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the research results, the student worksheets products that have been developed meet the validity criteria with an overall average of 97% in the very valid category. The validity and reliability results of the student collaboration skills questionnaire for the student worksheets developed have met the valid and reliable criteria. The results of the student collaboration skills trial given to 142 students on the developed student worksheets were the order of the number of students who always carried out collaboration skills starting from the responsible aspect (79%), the respect aspect (77%), the productive work aspect (71 %), aspects show flexibility (71%), and aspects contribute actively (38%). Meanwhile, the average number of students is 22% of students at a good level in collaborating and 78% of students are very good at collaborating.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to analyze the initial conditions, describe the level of validity and analyze the level of completeness of student's scores on the results of developing mathematics student worksheets based on problembased learning strategies on the operation material of addition and subtraction of negative integers in class VI SDN 71 West Pontianak. The research method used is research and development (RnD) by adapting the Thiagarajan 4D design development model. The data source of this research is the results of the validation of three validators, as well as the test results of students on a small and large scale. The data collection technique of this research is validator questionnaire, test questions for students, and documentation on the validation process, as well as documentation during the use of LKPD by students. The results showed that during the development process of LKPD Mathematics based on problem-based learning strategies, it had gone through 4 stages, namely the define stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the dissemination stage. The feasibility of the LKPD average percentage of the learning aspect (material) is 96% with very valid criteria, from the technical / appearance aspects of 97.6% with very valid criteria and from the aspect of suitability to the problem-based learning strategy of 98.6% with very valid criteria. The level of completeness on the small scale obtained an average percentage of 50% with good criteria and the large scale obtained an average percentage of completeness of 85% with good criteria. Keywords: Development, Problem Based Learning Strategies, Student Worksheet
