Abstract

The ideological conflict that occurred between the Aoma and Ambesakoa communities can be managed creatively and wisely through Kalosara (a symbol of Tolaki customs that emphasizes unity). This is based on efforts to respect each other and maintain harmony based on Tolaki awareness, a culture rooted in the Kalosara concept. Previous research has widely reviewed Kalosara as a symbol of Tolaki customs. However, an in-depth study of its role as a step to resolve conflicts based on local wisdom has not been updated, so this study aims to analyze the revitalization of Kalosara values as a model for conflict resolution. The setting of this research is in Wolasi, South Konawe Regency, involving various informants including the South Konawe Regency government, the South Konawe Regency Ministry of Religion, customary observers, and the local community. The Participatory Action Research method was used to examine data in a participatory manner by researchers. The results of this study found that Kalosara is a conflict resolution model based on the local wisdom of the Wolasi community, Tolaki Tribe, which paves the way for consensus in the form of socio-cultural integration in society in a segregated atmosphere, with the value of medulu mepoko'aso (unity and oneness), ate pute penao moroha (sanctity and justice), and morini mbu'umbundi monapa mbu'u ndawaro (prosperity and welfare). Through this study, implications for conflict resolution based on local wisdom were obtained, including the stages of presenting Kalosara (a sacred symbol of peace), an oath or joint statement about the promise of peace, an attitude of accepting customary decisions, and reconciliation or parties in conflict.

Abstract

Knowledge is a fundamental human necessity that enables individuals to navigate various challenges in life. However, throughout history, a dichotomy has often been drawn between religious knowledge and secular knowledge, leading to a conceptual division of science. This dichotomy has had a detrimental impact on the intellectual and scientific development of the Muslim world, contributing to its decline in science and technology in comparison to the West. This stands in stark contrast to the Islamic Golden Age, during which Islamic civilization served as a center of knowledge and a beacon for Europe, which was then in a period of intellectual stagnation. This study aims to critically examine the dichotomy of knowledge within Islamic thought and to explore integrative solutions for Islamic education in the modern era. Employing a qualitative method through library research, this study reveals that for Islamic education to meet the demands of an increasingly dynamic and globalized world, a balanced integration of religious and secular knowledge is essential. Thus, in addition to understanding religious principles, learners must also acquire practical knowledge and skills applicable to everyday life and relevant to the global labor market.

Abstract Zakat is an Islamic instrument for poverty reduction and achieving the welfare of the community equally and fairly. This religious instrument has tremendous economic potential to garner a sense of social solidarity of the rich (aghniya) to the poor (fuqara), to provide aid to the poor on the basis of love, so that the poor can be free from poverty. In the context of the local area, zakat is also a great potential, including in Konsel, to eradicate poverty. But the zakat has not been able to work properly. Abstract

The study of halal food has grown rapidly, not only in countries that are predominantly Muslim, but also in Muslim minority countries. The purpose of this article is to reveal how religious norms regarding halal and thoyy food have proceeded into the technoscientific certification of halal certification in Indonesia which is predominantly Muslim through microscopic studies at the Institute for the Study of Food Medicine and Cosmetics-Indonesian Ulama Council (LPPOM-MUI) Southeast Sulawesi. The study used a qualitative approach with primary data sourced from the institutions and actors involved in the certification process at LPPOM-MUI Southeast Sulawesi, namely directors, employees, auditors and the Southeast Sulawesi MUI Fatwa Council, business actors and consumers of certified food products. Data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and document studies. Data processing used data reduction techniques, data  classification, data display, data interpretation and conclusions. This study found, first, halal techno-scientifications were run by LPPOM-MUI through standardization (1) of materials, (2) products, (3) production facilities, (4) written procedures for critical activities, and (5) search capabilities. Second, the role of LPPOM-MUI in protecting Muslim consumers as institutions and actors guarding halal standards for products that will circulate to the public. The researcher argues that the impact of halal certification is the protection of consumers (Muslims). However, no illicit (haram) certification is applied to products that are not halal certified to be a gapand space for the circulation of food products, medicines and cosmetics that are not halal to the market (society).
