Abstract

  Titah, isyarat, atau pun hukum yang dikalamkan Tuhan dari langit, selamanya punya dimensi profan. Di sana—di setiap napas nubuat kudus—ada jejak tegas yang tersisa: bahwa Yang Abadi sekekalnya saling membelah dengan bumi yang guyah. Dan, kebenaran selalu hadir dalam bentang sejarah yang aneka, di tangan agung seorang utusan yang cemerlang, tapi unik. Cahaya dan gelap acapkali saling bertukar tangkap dengan semesta-kode langit yang tak tunai dalam kalam. Sejak itu agama menemukan sangkarnya di bumi. Jejak agama-agama, karena itu, bukan sepenuhnya petanda langit, tapi juga geliat peristiwa bumi. Dalam The Transcendent Unity of Religions (1976), Fritjhof Schuon mengenalkan philosophia perennis—sebuah kearifan antik—yang mengandaikan kaitan seluruh eksistensi yang ada dengan Realitas Mutlak. Wujud kearifan itu disebut “Tradition” yang hanya dapat dicapai melalui Intellectus—istilah yang dipopulerkan Plotinus—sebagai ungkapan lain dari soul atau spirit. Manifestasi “Tradition” yang diyakini kaum perennial sebagai berasal dari Tuhan, memiliki paras yang jamak dalam sejarah: agama-agam, filsafat, kearifan, seni, tradisi, ritus, simbol, doktrin, dan seterusnya. Sejatinya, dasar-dasar teoretis kearifan philosophia perennis tentang “Tradition” terdapat dalam jantung setiap agama dan tradisi autentik: tradisi Budha menyebutnya dharma, Taoisme (tao), Hinduisme (sanathana), Islam (al-dîn), Patuntung (lalang), dan sebaginya. Dengan cara—yang dalam philosophia perennis disebut sebagai “transenden” itu—semua ritus, doktrin dan simbol keagamaan terpaut dalam sebuah scientia sacra (“pengetahuan-suci”) yang melampaui bentuk formal agama. Di titik ini—Indonesia sebagai bangsa Plural—patut mempertimbangkan perspektif philosophia perennis, yang mengandaikan the heart of religions: bahwa di dalam jantung setiap agama dan tradisi autentik merengkuh misi dan pesan kebenaran yang sama. Jika ini menjadi tumpuan kesadaran kolektif—maka Indonesia sebagai bangsa plural—bisa menjadi rumah besar bersama yang nyaman, indah, dan damai.

Abstract

This article describes Paramadina University, a higher educational institution in Indonesia, which cannot be separated from its leader as well as the founder of its initial idea, i.e. Nurcholish Madjid. The existence of Paramadina University is, therefore, more closely related to the establishment of Nurcholish Madjid?s genial ideas who attempted to link the idea of ??Islam-Modernity-Indonesia. Since its initial inauguration in 1994, Paramadina University has carried out basic insights aimed at building a scientific society based on divine values and wisdom of humanity. It also encourages the values of pioneering souls to break through the borders of knowledge. Employing qualitative approach, this article aims at further analyzing the model of modern religious tradition developed by Paramadina University. The study affirms central position and role played by this higher educational institution both in Indonesia and the Islamic world in general. This centrality appears, especially, when we link the ideas of Islamic universalism, spatial-temporal of indonesianess, along with responses toward the life of the contemporary society which seems to be not only complex but also moves quickly escorting the breath of the age.

Abstract

In general, this article intends to answer a fundamental question, whether a mystical experience can or cannot be expressed through language. If the answer is positive, what kind of language can ‘formulate’ an inner space of human experienceto penetrateinto the heart of the most real reality? What kind of consciousness can “bring” the light of God to the ‘empirical’ world Then how to formulate a mystical consciousness in expressing spiritual experience that is “subjective” and therefore, has limitations? How, in fact, the status of “non-subjective phenomenal” consciousness in Islamic epistemology? The above questions, of course, are just a small ripple for those who seek to dive into the depth of “Mystical Ocean without shore”. To give an answer, this article then presents two contemporary philosophers from the genre of analytic philosophy, but from a diff erent background from that of tradition: Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951) and Mehdi Ha’iri Yazdi (1923 to 1999). This article appears to be a “resistance” epistemic: to show the fragile philosophical structure of positivism to capture the invisible ‘realities’. This last genre of philosophy, which is concerned mostly with thereliability of facts, the necessity correspondence between the facts and language, and glorifi es the verifi cation principles, has experienced “stutters” in every endeavor to reveal the world of meaning. h is article, also seeks reveal the way to the world of “experience” and does not stop at the world of knowledge. By adopting the approach of Analytic Philosophy, this article shows the folds of meaning and reality: empirical, meta-empirical, existential, and spiritual. For the author, the all layers of reality can only be revealed through a mysticalexperience, a presential knowledge (al-’ilm al-hudhūrī) in a perfect ontological state

Abstract

This article examines the pemmali as a method of da'wah by Bugis and Makassar ancestors in maintaining the noble values formulated in the cultural system. This study with the dawah approach found that the Bugis and Makassar people always maintained the most fundamental values, namely siri'. This value is at the core of a cultural system called pangadereng. Implementation of Pangangadereng is always maintained and controlled through paseng (warning / tazkirah) or (message / wasiyah) and pemmali or prohibition and prevention. Paseng has a role in directing the implementation of the values of Pangangadereng, while pemmali as an effort to prevent violations against pangngadereng. Paseng in the science of da'wah aims to amar ma'ruf, while pemmali is directed at the nahi munkar. Amar ma'ruf and nahi munkar in the science of da'wah are part of the function of dakwah activities that must be realized. There are various ways of carrying out these functions, including the tanzīr methods. The tanzīr which means a warning against this threat was taken by the ancestors of the Bugis and Makassar people with pemmali

Abstract

This article deals with the critique toward west philosophy in terms of the proportion of reason in gaining knowledge. It employs qualitative analysis on his research. The author initially collects documents and relevant materials in relation to the topic then analyze them. As stated in the article, the author believe that the Muslim thinkers tend to contend that west philosophy mainly focus on Aristotelian logic rather than the concept of Plato and Plotinus mystic. Suhrawardi, in this sense, is one of the Muslim philosophers is standing to support Plato’s idea. He, as contended by the author, further developed Plato’s idea into teosofi concept. Teosofi introduces a new approach which combines philosophical theory and peripatetic tradition through Sufism. The author come to conclude that Suhrawardi tend to see the truth can not be reached by the philosopher who solely employ the reason through philosophy or Sufism. Both need to be combined with teosofi concept as popularly discussed in his magnum opus, hikmat al-isyraq. Suhrawardi discussed the contrast between philosophy and Sufism in his book and offer solution which is further called teosofi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui lebih jauh tradisi songkabala, khususnya dalamlingkungan masyarakat Kelurahan Bontoa Kecamatan Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto. Untukmaksud itu, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif , dengan pendekatan indepthinterview kepada tokoh-tokoh kunci yang terlibat dalam ritual dan prosesi songkabala, sepertipinati, aparat pemerintahan lokal, tokoh masyarakat dan tokoh agama. Dari hasil penelitianyang mengedepankan perspekti “antropologi-agama” ini, menyimpulkan bahwa dalam tradisisongkabala terkandung 4 nilai dasar: spiritual, moral, intelektual dan ritual dengan inti pesan:pentingnya ”keinsafan diri” bahwa manusia dan alam semesta sejatinya adalah dua makhlukTuhan yang ”bersaudara” di mana satu dengan lainnya saling mengokohkan dalam ”tatananhukum keseimbangan kosmik”. Hal ini mengandung pengertian bahwa, akar penyebab darihampir seluruh bencana alam—termasuk dalam hal ini bencana sosial—adalah jika”hukum keseimbangan kosmik” tersebut terganggu dan mengalami guncangan. Karenaitu, songkabala dalam konteks ini mencoba mempertahankan ”keseimbangan” itudengan menghadirkan anyaman elok antara pesan tradisi di satu sisi dan teologi ,khususnya pesan Islam, di sisi lain. Tidak mengherankan jika seluruh prosesi songkabala,sepenuhnya bersifat ontologis-metafisik, dan karena itu menampilkan tak sedikit ekspresispiritual-intelektual-moral-ritual yang sangat simbolik dan sarat dengan sistem ”tanda”.Kedalaman makna ”sistem tanda” (sign) yang ditampilkan tradisi songkabala, dengansendirinya, hanya bisa ”ditangkap” secara cemerlang oleh mereka yang menggunakanperspektif ontologis-metafisik di samping memiliki cita rasa dan apresiasi terhadap kearifan lokalyang tinggi: yakni mereka yang dapat menembus makna di balik “tanda” dan tidak berhentipada simbol.

Abstract

Eksistensi Ekonomi Pancasila sudah ada dengan Pancasila sebagai landasan idealnya dan UUD 1945 sebagai landasan konstitusionalnya dan juga terjabarkan dalam ketetapan MPR tentang politik ekonomi dalam demokrasi ekonomi.  Untuk mewujudkan kebijakan ekonomi Pancasila diperlukan reformulasi kebijakan ekonomi Pancasila melalui Kementerian dan Lembaga yang diperuntukkan bagi Masyarakat, Perguruan Tinggi dan Dunia Usaha.  Internalisasi dan Institusionalisasi kebijakan ekonomi adalah upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan pembangunan karakter kebangsaan tentunya dapat diperkuat guna menangkal pengaruh dari luar  negeri maupun dari dalam negeri  di antaranya adalah globalisasi, radikalisme, intoleran, transnasional, transformasi budaya asing, kesenjangan ekonomi dan praktik-praktik monopoli. Pendekatan dalam tulisan ini dengan melihat Pancasila sebagai landasan falsafah, proses internalisasi dan Institusionalisasi dalam rumusan kebijakan ekonomi menjadi landasan berpikir dengan melihat dan mengkaji pemikiran Soekarno, Mohammad Hatta, Boediono dan Mubyarto. Ajaran Pancasila memiliki makna nilai-nilai dari setiap Sila Pancasila sebagai satu kesatuan yang utuh menjadi suatu sistem dalam bangunan kehidupan berbangsa, termasuk dalam hal ini untuk pengembangan kebijakan ekonomi Pancasila di Indonesia.

Abstract

Salah satu fungsi partai politik adalah sarana untuk menyalurkan aspirasi-aspirasi dari masyarakat. Namun saat ini, banyak pihak yang menilai bahwa partai politik telah mulai kehilangan arah dan tujuannya. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pelemahan eksistensi partai politik pasca berlakunya Undang-undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2011 Tentang Partai Politik dan bagaimana upaya meminimalisir pelemahan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan dengan menggunakan pendekatan normatif dan pendekatan syar’i. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keberadaan Undang-undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2011 dianggap membatasi munculnya partai-partai baru dengan menentukan persyaratan pendirian partai politik yang berat untuk memperoleh status badan hukum. Persyaratan tersebut dipersepsikan bertentangan dengan prinsip demokrasi dan Hak Asasi Manusia mengenai kebebasan berorganisasi atau berpartai politik. Selain itu, batas maksimal sumbangan perusahaan atau badan usaha berpotensi membuka pintu bagi pengaruh kapital yang lebih besar atas partai politik. Adapun upaya untuk meminimalisir tersebut adalah dengan cara: 1) Mengubah syarat pembentukan dan kepesertaan Pemilu dengan prinsip proporsional; 2) Mempertegas sikap verifikator; 3) Transparansi keuangan partai politik; dan 4) Pendirian partai politik harus melalui persiapan yang matang.Kata Kunci: Eksistensi; Partai Politik; Pelemahan; Undang-undang Partai Politik

Abstract

Direct Election System in Makassar City in Islamic Law Perspective, this is located in Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. While the approach used in this study is a formal juridical approach. The results of the study indicate that the mechanism of direct elections in Makassar City in accordance with the 1945 Constitution, Article 18 paragraph (4) affirms: "Governors, Regents, and Mayors respectively as Heads of Provincial, Regency, and City Governments are democratically elected". It's just that there are still those that are not in line with the provisions of Islamic law and law, for example being elected as Regional Head because of nepotism, using the power of money or called money politics. Regional Head in Makassar City, it can be said that he is competent. However, when viewed from the post-conflict local election law, it turns out that there is one important requirement that is omitted, namely about public testing, so that it is not chosen from its capacity, but is chosen more in terms of the strength of political parties and in terms of the strength of the funds. The character of the voters is also diverse and generally, there are still some whose voting rights can be bought with money.
