Abstract

Magelang memiliki alam luas yang subur dengan tumbuh-tumbuhan dan tanaman-tanaman pertanian yang membentang serta menyimpan pesona kekayaan alam yang indah. Hal ini berpotensi melahirkan nilai ekonomi yang tinggai bagi masyarakat sekitar. Dusun Rejosari yang berada di Desa Mrangen menampilkan pesona alam yang menawan yang sekaligus menjadi daya dongkrak tumbuhnya perekonomian masyarakat sekitar. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan pemahaman kepada masyarakat terkait pengembangan peternakan kambing etawa mengingat begitu besarnya potensi alam yang mendukung. Kehadiran gagasan dan pikiran besar dari desa untuk menjadikan Mrangen sebagai desa wisata sudah dikerjasamakan dengan kampus Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta dengan kontrak lima tahun. Kondisi ini menuntut warga menggali potensi-potensi yang bisa diberdayakan sehingga menjadi komoditi yang layak dan patut diberikan perhatian. selanjutnya hal tersebut bisa bdikembangkan dan akan menjadi daya tarik tersendiri untuk diintegrasikan dengan potensi-potensi yang ada di Desa Mrangen umumnya dan Dusun Rejosari khususnya.

Abstract

Community Service of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in Dusun Ngemplak, Donokerto Village, Turi District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, has been successfully implemented. This initiative aimed to empower the local community through collaboration between university students and village residents. Various programs designed and carried out by the service team have produced positive impacts, including: (1) Improved children's ability to read the Qur'an and understand Islamic values through the Qur'anic Education Center (TPA); (2) Increased awareness among teenagers and mothers about the importance of reproductive health and balanced nutrition through educational sessions; (3) Regional mapping that resulted in a comprehensive village map to support better planning and management of village resources. In addition, other programs such as land management, communal work (gotong royong), exercise sessions, and administrative assistance for Posyandu (integrated health service post) and the PKK (Family Welfare Movement) have also successfully enhanced community participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness, promoting healthy lifestyles, and supporting a more organized village administration system. Overall, the collaboration between students and local residents has fostered a strong synergy in the effort to sustainably empower the community

Abstract

Early childhood education is an important foundation in the formation of character and intelligence of the nation's next generation. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of student empowerment programs in early childhood education assistance in Padukuhan Gondang, Donokerto Village, Turi District, Sleman Regency. The methods used in this research include interviews, participant observation, and documentation, focusing on three main programs: mentoring PAUD Cerdas Ceria, TPA Al-Hasanah, and tutoring for kindergarten and elementary school children. The results showed that the mentoring program succeeded in increasing children's enthusiasm and active participation in the learning process. The interactive and creative learning approach applied is able to encourage children's cognitive, social, and emotional development. The mentoring program at PAUD Cerdas Ceria succeeded in increasing interest in learning through various experimental activities and educational games. Activities at TPA Al- Hasanah contribute to strengthening religious understanding and character building, while the tutoring program helps improve children's academic achievement and self- confidence. This research concludes that student empowerment in early childhood education has a significant positive impact, not only on children's development but also on improving the quality of education in Gondang Padukuhan as a whole
