Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tentang bagaimana perencanaan strategis pendidikan Agama Islam di Sekolah Madrasah Aliyah. Dengan demikian, tujuannya adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana langkah-langkah penyusunan perencanaan yang strategis di Madrasah Aliyah Qur’an Centre Kota Batam. (2) Untuk mengetahui implementasi perencanaan strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Madrasah Aliyah Qur’an Centre Kota Batam. (3) Untuk mengetahui Evaluasi program-program yang telah direncanakan oleh Madrasah Aliyah Qur’an Centre Kota Batam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian (1) Penyusunan perencanaan yang dilakukan oleh Madrasah Aliyah Qur’an Centre Kota Batam mempunyai langkah-langkah yakni; pendekatan participators, sesuai dengan potensi dan kondisi madrasah dan berdasarkan kebutuhan dan harapan stakeholder, serta mengumpulkan ide-ide, gagasan, pendapat dan informasi terkait peningkatan mutu pendidikan. (2) Implementasi perencanaan strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Madrasah Aliyah Qur’an Centre Kota Batam meliputi; perumusan strategi, memaksimalkan sumber daya yang dimiliki, melibatkan stakeholders. (3) Evaluasi program-program yang telah direncanakan oleh Madrasah Aliyah Qur’an Centre Kota Batam dilakukan dengan internal dan eksternal secara sistematis pada akhir semester atau pada saat liburan semester dan mengevaluasi kegiatan dan kinerja yang dilakukan secara terus menerus untuk mengetahui kendala-kendala dalam pelaksanaan program yang direncanakan

Abstract

This study discusses the importance of innovation in the Islamic education curriculum to improve students' character and ethics. Innovation in Islamic education is a must in facing the various challenges faced by the younger generation in the modern era. By implementing innovation, Islamic education can become more relevant, interesting, and effective in shaping students' character and ethics. Some of the innovative approaches discussed in this study include a holistic approach in character and ethics learning, the integration of Islamic values ​​in every aspect of the curriculum, the use of technology in teaching ethics and morality, the use of Islamic digital applications and platforms, and experiential learning. Through the implementation of these innovations, it is hoped that students will be able to experience a fun, active, and in-depth learning experience about ethical values ​​in Islam. The conclusions show that innovation in the Islamic education curriculum is the key to forming a young generation who has good morals, has noble character, and is able to face various challenges in life with full confidence and moral awareness.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya mengevaluasi dan memperbarui kurikulum dalam membangun pendidikan Islam yang berkualitas. Evaluasi berkelanjutan membantu mengidentifikasi kelemahan dan potensi perbaikan dalam kurikulum, sementara pembaruan kurikulum memastikan relevansi dan daya tanggap pendidikan Islam terhadap tuntutan zaman dan perkembangan siswa. Tantangan seperti resistensi dari pihak terkait dan keterbatasan sumber daya perlu diatasi dengan komunikasi yang baik dan keterlibatan semua pemangku kepentingan. Dengan menerapkan evaluasi dan pembaharuan kurikulum yang terencana, pendidikan Islam dapat terus berkembang menjadi lebih baik dan lebih kompetitif. Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, penguatan nilai-nilai keagamaan, responsif terhadap perkembangan saat ini, penyelarasan dengan standar nasional dan internasional, serta penguatan jati diri pendidikan Islam adalah beberapa implikasi penting dari artikel ini.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum review, specifically curriculum understanding, implementation, and evaluation, on teacher commitment, while situating the findings within the historical trajectory of Islamic education. The study addresses ongoing concerns that PAI curricula have not fully responded to learners’ needs in the digital era, highlighting the importance of systematic curriculum review to sustain pedagogical relevance and professional engagement. Employing a quantitative approach with survey method, data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 120 PAI teachers from MAN 1 and MAN 2 Batam City, selected using simple random sampling. The data satisfied the normality assumption (p > 0.05), and the instrument demonstrated high reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.870). Multiple regression analysis reveals that curriculum understanding, implementation, and evaluation significantly influence teacher commitment (p < 0.05), with curriculum understanding emerging as the strongest predictor. The regression model explains 65% of the variance in teacher commitment (R² = 0.650). Interpreted from a historical perspective, these findings indicate that strengthening teachers’ conceptual mastery of the curriculum reinforces professional responsibility and instructional consistency, while enabling adaptation to contemporary educational demands without compromising core Islamic values. This study concludes that systematic PAI curriculum review not only enhances teacher commitment but also supports the continuity and resilience of Islamic education in modern learning contexts.

Abstract

The curriculum is an important tool in the learning process that should provide guidance and direction for educational performance. Islamic religious education as an effort to internalize fundamental, social, and moral values, urgently needs an effective and efficient curriculum. This research is a Library Research with literature studies related to the Islamic religious education curriculum and Independent Learning. The data analysis technique used is content analysis by categorizing data so that it can be formulated based on the problem under study. The collected data is analyzed by analytical descriptive methods. The approach used is a qualitative approach where the data is in the form of narratives or sentences, and this data is processed systematically to produce conclusions. This research is also a type of historical-philosophical research. The results showed that, first, the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in the vortex of independent education became a challenge in itself, where the rapid development of science and technology, changes in education ministry regulations that hinted at independent education, and the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0. Second, the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in Independent Learning education must be adjusted to include the values of science and technology, social values, culture, and the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0. especially after the Covid 19 pandemic which has changed the paradigm of Islamic religious education.
