Abstract

The research is aimed at analyzing the quality of pedagogical competences of Indonesian language teachers at the level of State MTs Negeri 3 Medan and MTs Al-Jami’yatul Washliyah Tembung. As for the research method used using a qualitative approach in the form of a descriptive investigation method by performing observations and descending directly to the field in using the interview method related to being the result of an interview with an Indonesian language teacher as the primary data and the results of the interview with the head of school as secondary data. Based on the results of the research found showed that the pedagogical competence of Indonesian language teachers at the level of MTs Negeri 3 Medan and MTs Al-Jami’yatul Washliyah Tembung is good enough only the methods used are different, because each school must have its respective roles and policies to get the best results. The pedagogical competence of teachers plays an important role in learning, because it is from here that students will obtain learning according to the good learning systematics, in addition to qualifications in terms of competence, teachers must also meet other qualifications that are academic. Teachers have a scientific educational background so they have academic and intellectual expertise.

Abstract

Gender representation is not only important in understanding characterization and dynamics of stories, but also in identifying narratives that govern and influence public perceptions of gender roles. The study aims to analyze gender representation in "Sampan Zulaiha" by analyzing the character of women faced with and responding to existing gender norms and efforts to resist gender injustice. This research is a qualitative study of library studies (library research) with methods of data collection using documentation methods, i.e. collection of books and journal articles. This research produces a variety of representations of the narrative presented on the Zulaiha Sampan cerpen that corresponds to the gender situation in the surrounding society. Many gender inequities and various traditional customs narrow the women's movement to develop themselves. Further research could explore gender representation in literature influencing gender identity construction and gender role in society..

Abstract

The role of language editing in students’ language comprehension is increasingly important, with reading and writing as the main activities in language learning. Effective language editing can significantly improve students' understanding of language and their language skills. This comprehensive study aims to enhance students’ language comprehension through the role and implications of language editing. The research uses qualitative library research, with books and journal articles as data sources, and a documentation approach, which is analysed with descriptive or analytical data analysis techniques. The study's results, derived from a comprehensive research process, show that language editing's role in students’ language comprehension includes aiding students in grammar, expanding vocabulary, understanding the link between vocabulary and meaning, and improving communication.
