Abstract

Electrical panel with the function of controlling 2 sources of electricity which can be handled automatically and safely of course. This ATS generator panel is actually suitable for use in factories, offices or hospitals that want a security system when moving the main source of electricity to an alternative power source. The working process of the ATS - AMF Panel Device is in principle if the electricity from the PLN is cut off, the ATS panel will immediately transfer the flow to the generator and the AMF will immediately turn on the generator automatically and distribute electricity and vice versa if the PLN electricity is on then it will automatically switch to PLN electricity. With the design above, it is shown that the main source enters ATS via the incoming from main/PLN terminal and the backup source enters ATS via the incoming from generator terminal. Meanwhile, supply to the load from ATS is connected to the outgoing terminal. To connect the load to the source, a three-phase 10 A/18 kA MCCB component is used and the contactor. Meanwhile, the generator contactor (K5 and K4 as Genset source connectors) will not be active, because before being connected to the generator contactor coil terminal, the control cable is connected to the auxiliary contact of the NC main contactor (PLN). Meanwhile, when the load is connected to a backup source (generator), the active contactor is the generator contactor. As with the first condition, the main contactor will not be active because before it is connected to the PLN coil terminal, the control cable is connected to the auxiliary contact of the generator contactor NC.

Abstract

The rapid growth of urbanization in Palembang, South Sumatra Province, poses challenges in the management of energy resources and the environment. This study aims to evaluate the application of Internet of Things (IoT) in the E-Cleanness City Information and Management System program as a solution in improving energy efficiency and smart city operations. Mixed research methods were used, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis to obtain a comprehensive picture of the impact of IoT implementation. The results showed a 10% decrease in energy consumption and a 15% increase in operational efficiency after IoT implementation. The main factors contributing to the efficiency improvement include optimization of waste collection routes, reduction in the number of operational vehicles, and improved response times. In addition, user and system manager satisfaction surveys indicated high levels of satisfaction, indicating positive acceptance of the technology. The social and economic benefits include reduced operational costs, improved quality of life, creation of new jobs, and increased environmental awareness. However, challenges such as limited technological infrastructure, the need for further training, complex system integration, and data security and privacy issues need to be addressed to optimize IoT implementation. This research recommends infrastructure development, intensive training programs, and implementation of strong data security protocols as strategic steps to support the sustainability of smart city management in Palembang. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for the development of similar policies in other cities in Indonesia in an effort to achieve energy efficiency and environmental sustainability through IoT technology.

Abstract

Reading is one of the most essential language skills, as it serves numerous functions in human life. It is a key factor in determining students' academic success. This study employs a qualitative approach. The research subjects are teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Klaten, with language teachers serving as informants. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study are as follows: 1) The steps of the Literacy-Based Learning model include: Contact stage – the teacher introduces relevant issues or problems; Curiosity stage – problems are presented in the form of questions that stimulate students’ curiosity and desire to learn; Elaboration stage – exploration, concept formation, and concept reinforcement are carried out; Decision-making stage – collaborative resolution of the issues presented; Nexus stage – students extract key ideas and materials learned; Assessment stage – evaluation focuses not only on knowledge but also on processes, context of application, and attitudes. 2) The advantages of the Literacy-Based Learning model are that it is enjoyable and student-friendly, Thereby fostering enthusiasm for learning; All students show empathy, care, and mutual respect; It nurtures curiosity and a love of knowledge; It enhances students’ communication skills and ability to contribute to the social environment. 3) The weaknesses of the Literacy-Based Learning model include misconceptions about reading competence among students and teachers; The learning process does not yet fully utilize instructional media; school teaching materials tend to focus on low-order thinking skills; and school facilities have not been optimally developed as a center for improving students’ reading abilities. The conclusion of this study is that the Literacy-Based Learning model has proven effective in improving reading skills in language.
