Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Cisco Packet Tracer learning media on the learning motivation of 10th grade students at SMK Negeri 2 Gowa. The study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. Data collection was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires to measure students' learning motivation levels before and after the use of learning media, as well as observations to support the quantitative results obtained. The results of the study indicate that there was an increase in student learning motivation after the implementation of Cisco Packet Tracer learning media. This media allows students to perform interactive computer network simulations, making learning more interesting and easier to understand. The use of Cisco Packet Tracer provides a more contextual learning experience, particularly in computer and network engineering skills. Thus, this technology-based simulation media can be used as an effective learning alternative to increase student learning motivation in vocational high schools.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and suitable learning design micromodule as a digital teaching material for Educational Technology students at Makassar State University. The background of this study is based on the learning of the Learning Design course which still utilizes commonly used teaching materials, such as printed books and presentation slides, so that digital teaching materials are needed that are more concise and easily accessible according to the characteristics of students as digital learners. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments were a needs analysis questionnaire, validation sheets from media experts and material experts, and a practicality questionnaire for students and lecturers teaching the course. The results of the study indicate that the developed micromodule is needed as a supporting learning resource, designed based on the RPS, and equipped with learning objectives, core materials, infographics, learning videos, and interactive quizzes. The results of validation and trials indicate that the micromodule is in very good qualifications and is practical to use. The conclusion of this study states that the learning design micromodule is suitable for use as a digital teaching material and has the potential to increase student independence and learning effectiveness.
