Abstract

In the context of higher education, the role of faculty members holds a significant impact on the quality of national education and the image of educational institutions. Faculty members play a crucial role in realizing comprehensive education, including the development of faith/taqwa, noble character, knowledge, technology, arts, and an advanced and cultured society. The performance of faculty members influences areas such as accreditation and teaching quality. The importance of faculty members' role in education makes additional appreciation in the form of incentives reasonable and effective in enhancing their performance. Performance-based incentives can encourage an increase in faculty productivity in carrying out their core duties, namely teaching, research, and community service. In this context, faculty members tend to focus more on teaching than on research and community service. Managing the allocation of incentives for faculty members is the responsibility of the campus or university. To streamline and expedite the process of determining appropriate incentives, the author intends to develop an application using the Simple Additive Weight (SAW) method. This method can calculate the weight of predefined criteria to provide recommendations for incentive amounts based on variables such as teaching, research, and community service. Consequently, this application has the potential to offer a more efficient solution for managing incentives for faculty members. The criteria data provided include publications, teaching, research, and community service. The application can display calculation results in the form of an incentive data table consisting of faculty names, scores, statuses, and incentive amounts

Abstract

Focus Komputer Store is one of the computer shops in Bengkulu City which is the destination for consumers in looking for computer-related goods and providing computer service services. Every day the sales transaction data in stores continues to grow and causes a very large data storage. Most sales transaction data are only used as archives without being put to good use. The process of selecting goods is carried out by taking into account the pattern of purchases in the previous month so that a list of items that must be provided is more extensive to meet current consumer needs. The problem is market interest or consumer needs are always changing depending on uncertain conditions. The process of selecting goods to fill stock is a very complicated process and takes a long time because you have to read the sales archives that were made the previous month. For this reason, it is necessary to have an application that can provide recommendations on what items are currently in demand by consumers based on last month's sales data. Applications that can be used for the process of extracting previous data are data mining applications. Data mining is an analysis of reviewing data sets to find unexpected relationships and summarize data in different ways that are understandable and useful to the data owner. To be able to get results that are more relevant to needs, applications must use suitable algorithms, one of which is the Apriori algorithm. The a priori algorithm is an algorithm that searches for frequent itemsets using the association rule technique. The application can be used as a sales cashier application at the Computer Focus store and can display the results of a priori algorithm calculations based on sales data that has been input into the application. The application that the author has built still has many shortcomings, especially in terms of appearance and data. The author hopes that there are criticisms and suggestions that can help in developing applications so that they are even better.

Abstract

This study is entitled the implementation of the a* (a-star) algorithm for website-based search of tourism sites in the city of Bengkulu. The main problem ishow to build an information system search for the nearest tourism location in the city of Bengkulu. Information Systems search for this tourism locationusing the a* (a-star) algorithm method and this information system also displays information about existing tours. The a* (a-star) algorithm method was chosen because this method determines the shortest path between the starting and ending points of an existing tour. Based on the results of the discussionThe A-star algorithm is considered more effective in finding the shortest route. This is proven by testing the shortest route randomly and thoroughly 15 times for all tourist destinations. The results show that the routes generated on average are more effective and shorter than the routes generated on Google Maps.

Abstract

Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu saat ini telah memiliki laboratorim komputer yang digunakan untuk menunjang kegiatan perkuliahan di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu seperti pada mata kuliah Bahasa pemrograman dan mata kuliah lainnya yang menggunakan laboratoium komputer. Jaringan Local Area Network Fakultas Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu sudah terhubung pada internet, dimana semua komputer yang ada pada Local Area Network  terhubung langsung ke modem melalui swith hub, sehingga ketika ada mahasiswa/i yang mendownload akan menganggu mahasiswa/i yang lainnya. Dari permasalah ini maka di bangun Local Area Network berbasis mikrotik pada Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu agar dapat melakukan manajamen jaringan seperti satu username hanya dapat digunakan pada satu perangkat, pembagian bandwith berdasarkan akun, transper data dalam jaringan dan pengaturan lainnya yang diperlukan untuk kelancaran jaringan komputer Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. Dengan menerapakan sistem manajemen jaringan menggunakan metode simple queue pada jaringan komputer Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

The design of the new student admission system (PPDB) at SMK Negeri 3 Empat Lawang aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the selection and registration process for prospective students. This system is designed to overcome frequently encountered obstacles, such as the lengthy data verification process, difficulties in data management, and the lack of transparency in the selection process. The PPDB system prototype was developed with a web-based approach to ensure accuracy, speed, and ease of access for prospective students, parents, and the school. The main features of this system include online registration, automatic data verification, real-time announcement of selection results, and an admin dashboard to monitor the entire process. With the implementation of this system, it is expected to reduce administrative workload, increase transparency, and provide a better experience for all parties involved in the PPDB process at SMK Negeri 3 Empat Lawang
