Abstract

This research aims to identify the location distribution of agricultural and tourism potential in the Lore plain of Poso regency, analyze the center of growth and the level of the regional hierarchy and prioritize the handling of road networks located in the Lore plain of Poso regency. This was a descriptive research. Analyses method used were descriptive analysis, Scalogram analysis, Gravitation analysis, and Analytical Hierarchy Process. The result of the research show that the agricultural potential is spread evenly across the villages in the Lore area and follows the existing road lines (the pattern extends the road). The spread of tourism potential is located in all sub-districts with the types of objects and tourism activities found in this area are natural attractions, special interest tourism activities and megalithic attractions. The result of Scalogram analysis shows that there are five villages that became the village center of growth, and the main priority in the handling of the existing road network is a network of roads connecting agricultural potential.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Construction housing projects involve many risks and uncertainties that can affect their completion time. To ensure a construction housing project is completed on time, an accurate duration estimate is required for each activity. Deterministic duration methods, such as the Critical Path Method (CPM), are commonly used in project scheduling for construction projects. However, this method may not always produce a realistic schedule as it uses only a single duration estimation for each activity. As an alternative, this study uses the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) which utilizes three duration estimates namely optimistic duration, most likely duration, and pessimistic duration. A house construction project with 23 activities was analyzed using CPM to find the critical activities which produced 59 days of completion time. The critical path duration was then analyzed using PERT. PERT calculations found that there was only a 15% probability to complete the project in 59 days, and the project needed 66 days of completion time with a 95% level of confidence. The findings of this study indicate that PERT can assist project managers in creating a more realistic project schedule by considering the risks and uncertainties in estimating the duration of its activities.

Abstract

During Palu earthquake on September 28 2018, people in the coastline area immediately evacuates to decent heights locations. Their action preference is purely based on the aim of surviving the tsunami events. This research is aim on identify, in that conditions, how the survival chooses the TES and their route to it. This research also seeking their preference of TES and Evacuation route during the normal conditions, and compare the survival preference and what is happened during the tsunami events in September 2018. The result shows that during the tsunami disaster events, only 5 out of 74 survivals preferred evacuate to the higher buildings around the coastline within te tsunami prone area, while the others preferred to move further to the higher ground on the city centre. Majority of the survivals failed to understand the important of shortened their route as what is standard demanded.
