Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country with a lot of cultural diversity and wealth. This is because the country of Indonesia has thousands of islands which are inhabited by various people who have different races, ethnicities, religions and ethnicities. The method used in this study uses qualitative research which analyzes fields that are currently developing, but there is still a real need for study literature that can support addressing issues of quality and thoroughness of research. The purpose of this research is to find out how the tolerance character of civics education in students maintains divine values and national unity at the elementary age level. The benefits of this research are very instrumental in the application of practice in learning Citizenship Education by providing understanding and application in a tolerance character lesson that is in accordance with national values. In the results of this study, the role of civics education in maintaining divinity and national unity is very necessary so that students can have an attitude of tolerance, mutual respect, and respect for every difference that exists in this nation.

Abstract

Pentingnya nilai-nilai sosial dan keterampilan sosial dalam pendidikan siswa sekolah dasar di era digital. Fokus utama adalah pada nilai-nilai seperti empati, kerjasama, pengelolaan konflik, dan keterampilan komunikasi dalam konteks teknologi saat ini. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi peran nilai-nilai sosial dan keterampilan sosial dalam membantu siswa sekolah dasar berinteraksi secara positif di dunia maya dan dunia nyata. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyoroti metode bimbingan konseling kelompok sebagai pendekatan efektif dalam mengoptimalkan interaksi sosial siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah studi kuantitatif yang melibatkan pengumpulan data dari beberapa referensi seperti artikel jurnal, buku, internet, dan bahan ajar lainnya. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif untuk mengevaluasi dan mendapatkan pemahaman yag  baik terkait pentingnya nilai-nilai sosial dalam konteks pendidikan siswa sekolah dasar di era digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai sosial seperti empati, kerjasama, pengelolaan konflik, dan keterampilan komunikasi merupakan komponen kunci dalam menghadapi tantangan interaksi sosial di era digital. Bimbingan konseling kelompok diakui sebagai metode efektif untuk membantu siswa mengembangkan interaksi sosial positif dan keterampilan sosial yang kuat. Integrasi nilai-nilai sosial, teknologi, dan pembinaan karakter dapat membantu siswa menjadi individu yang bertanggung jawab dan mampu membangun hubungan sosial yang positif di masyarakat digital yang terus berkembang.

Abstract

Learning motivation is an important factor supporting students’ involvement and achievement in science education. Preliminary analysis showed that fifth-grade students had low motivation in learning science, particularly on the rice paddy ecosystem, while the use of interactive learning media remained limited. This study aimed to develop Rice Paddy Ecosystem Pop-Up Board media and determine its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students’ science learning motivation. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The participants were fifth-grade students at SDN Mangunjaya 01. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, observations, and pre- and post-questionnaires of learning motivation. The results showed that the media obtained an average expert validation score of 93.19%, categorized as highly feasible. Teacher responses reached 100%, while student responses reached 84.89%, categorized as highly practical. Students’ average motivation score increased from 20.44 before implementation to 41.90 after using the media. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), and the N-Gain score reached 77.18%, categorized as effective. Therefore, the Rice Paddy Ecosystem Pop-Up Board is feasible, practical, and effective in improving students’ science learning motivation
