China’s very rapid development has implications for regional relations in the region. Indonesia has made a false evaluation and calculation from a geopolitical and geostrategic point of view which is applied as a national policy and resilience. The most rational consideration of a free and active foreign policy is with the bilateral relations between Indonesia and China, not only in an ordinary partnership but more in close relations which have economic and technological implications. The geopolitical conditions in the dynamic relationship between Indonesia and the People’s Republic of China can be seen in the investment economic cooperation where the People’s Republic of China is one of the four largest investors in Indonesia in the last five years. The South China Sea polemic and the Covid-19 pandemic that originated in Wuhan China also further added to the dynamics of the relationship. The relationship between Indonesia and the People’s Republic of China has been ready to ebb and flow since the recognition of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, experiencing events such as the dual citizenship agreement, fluctuations in political ideology from the Old Order to the New Order, and state policies towards ethnic Chinese after that. Policies such as assimilation based on stereotypes towards the Chinese ethnic group have left wide gaps in the relationship between the state and its population as well as the attitude of the Indonesian people towards ethnic Chinese was clearly seen during the 1998 reformation, event appears not yet finished in resolving the problem, as seen in the 2017 DKI Jakarta Pilkada.

Disparity and the economy has become an important discussion for economic scientists and development policy makers. Both as an evaluation material for planning and as part of the implementation of the development itself. Currently, with the Covid-19 pandemic, economic problems is a serious concern. This study tries to look at the economic conditions in the Jabodetabek area during the 2020 pandemic with the Williamson index and Klassen Typology. In 2020, it can be seen that the Williamson Index, when the pandemic occurred, decreased from 0.71 to 0.66 or decreased by 0.05 points, as a result of cross section data at the end of the year. This could be due to a decrease in income in certain groups or the type of data used. In the Klassen typology calculation, most of the regions are in quadrant III, it is possible that most regions experienced a significant decrease in GRDP. Quadrant IV is mostly filled by cities in Jakarta minus East Jakarta. This quadrant is possible due to the heavy burden of minus growth with economic conditions experiencing contraction due to tightening activities by the government. Initial research on the economy is expected to be continued with deeper research for economic evaluation after the Covid 19 pandemic and the end of development planning in Jabodetabek.

This study aims to analyse the management and winning strategies used by legislative candidates during the general election campaign. Elections include a democratic process, in which legislative candidates compete to get votes from the public. Success in winning an election is highly dependent on effective campaign management and strategy. Using a case study approach, this research compares two legislative candidates with different backgrounds in terms of political parties, electoral districts, and personal characteristics. The results showed differences in the management and winning strategies used by the two candidates. Factors such as financial resources, a solid campaign team, the establishment of a support network, and the utilisation of social and conventional media were key elements that influenced the effectiveness of the campaign. This research provides insights into best practices in the management and winning strategies of legislative candidates, and highlights the importance of adapting to changes in the political environment and new trends in campaigning.

Indonesia's trade surplus is expected to remain in the first half of 2025, with positive performance from exports of leading commodities. This study identifies the main commodities contributing to the surplus and the factors influencing it. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Ministry of Trade, crude palm oil (CPO), coal, iron, and steel are the commodities with the largest contributions. Global supply chains and demand from key trading partners drive export performance. To increase competitiveness and strengthen economic resilience, this study recommends industrial diversification and downstreaming.
