Abstract

This article reports the community engagement program organized by the Tourism Destination Study Program of Bali Tourism Polytechnic. The program was held in Kedisan Tourism Village of Tegalalang District in Gianyar Regency, on June 26th, 2022, in the form of socialization. The event was prepared carefully through a situation analysis based on data collected through field observations and interviews with Kedisan Village officials.  The topics presented in the socialization consisted of tourism village governance and digital media for marketing tourism village products.  The community engagement activities have been carried out well in providing an understanding of the importance of implementing tourism village governance, especially for Kedisan Village which has been legalized as a tourist village. In addition, the event raised awareness about the importance of utilizing digital media to market Kedisan Tourism Village's products. Evaluation based on the participant's perceptions shows that the community engagement satisfied all the participants. The evaluation also succeeded in formulating things that are hoped to be achieved by the residents of Kedisan Village through the next community engagement of the Tourism Destination Study Program.

Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial factor in achieving a company's success because of its strong relationship to employee productivity. Work time discipline at Bali Bird Park is an indication of low employee performance. Coordination that is not yet optimal between leaders and employees, lack of direction and attention from leaders to the division of work and low cooperation between employees creates a bad image. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership and coordination on employee performance. Research data were obtained through a survey of all 86 employees. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS with Multiple Linear Regression Test, Classical Assumption Test and Determination Coefficient Test. It was found that the leadership variable positively and significantly influenced 6.0836% of employee performance. The coordination variable positively and significantly influenced 21.864% of employee performance. Simultaneously, the leadership and coordination variables positively and significantly influenced employee performance by 27.8%.

Abstract

Cau Belayu Tourism Village is one of the tourist villages located between the border of Tabanan regency and Badung regency, after the establishment of the Regent Decree, Cau Belayu Tourism Village still has not shown significant development. Cau Belayu Tourism Village in Tabanan Regency is experiencing obstacles in its development. Cau BelayuTourism Village faces difficulties in managing human resources who serve as managers, in addition, the management of tourist destinations is also one of the obstacles faced Another obstacle is the problem of marketing. Cau Belayu Tourism Village may be less effective in promoting its attractions to potential tourists. In addition, the lack of variety of tourism products is also an obstacle. Cau Belayu Tourism Village needs to develop more varied and attractive tourism products. Therefore, in this study, researchers want to know more deeply the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Cau BelayuTourism Village to analyze its development strategy. The approach is descriptive qualitative, and the sources are identified using the pentahelix method based on the following criteria: the sources must be at least 17 years old, have a thorough understanding of the tourist village of Cau Belayu, and be able to communicate effectively through observation, interviewing, and documentation of the research instruments (SWOT, IFAS, and EFAS). The SO Strategy (Strength-Opportunities) score IFAS 0.14 and EFAS 0.42 obtained from the study's results indicate that an aggressive strategy will be used to develop the Cau Belayu tourist village as a suitable competitive tourist village. This strategy will include partnerships for integrated tourism packages, collaboration with government programs, technology innovation for attractions, strengthening branding through cooperation, and global trend-based promotion.
