Abstract

This study explores the compatibility of Sharia law and democratic values in the context of Indonesia's democracy. It examines the interplay between religious traditions and democratic principles, focusing on the legal framework, societal dynamics, and challenges in balancing Sharia law with democratic governance. The study analyzes the constitutional recognition of Islam as the majority religion while upholding democratic principles, the protection of human rights and gender equality, the implementation of Sharia-inspired regulations at the local level, and the role of public opinion in shaping the compatibility between Sharia law and democratic values. Through a qualitative research approach, including interviews, document analysis, and a review of existing literature, this study comprehensively analyzes the complexities and possibilities of reconciling religious traditions with democratic governance in Indonesia. The findings contribute to academic discourse, inform policymakers, and offer insights for promoting inclusive and democratic governance in Indonesia and other contexts with significant Muslim populations.

Abstract

Due to its potential effects on health, global warming is a pressing environmental problem that has received much attention recently. This qualitative study aims to get experts' perspectives on the science behind global warming and its effects on health. Ten experts in climate change, public health, and environmental science participated in semi-structured interviews to gather the data. A thematic approach was used to analyze the data, which involved coding the data for themes and sub-themes. The examination uncovered that a worldwide temperature alteration is fundamentally brought about by human exercises, especially the outflow of ozone-depleting substances. The effects of a dangerous atmospheric deviation include an expanded commonness of respiratory infections, cardiovascular sicknesses, heat-related diseases, and emotional well-being issues. Additionally, the experts emphasized the disproportionate impact of global warming on vulnerable populations, such as low-income communities, indigenous groups, and developing nations. To relieve the impacts of a worldwide temperature alteration, the specialists recommended a few procedures, including decreasing ozone-depleting substance outflows, advancing energy productivity and environmentally friendly power, executing a green framework, and expanding public mindfulness and training. However, they also acknowledged the difficulties of implementing these strategies, especially in the face of political and economic obstacles. In general, this study offers valuable insights into the science of global warming and the effects it has on health. According to the findings, immediate action is required to address the effects of global warming on health, particularly in vulnerable populations. The study emphasizes the significance of interdisciplinary collaborations and the necessity for policymakers to place public health at the forefront of strategies for reducing the effects of climate change and adapting to it.

Abstract

This study delves into the intricate relationship between ideal body weight and life expectancy by analyzing the factors of health, genetics, and socioeconomic conditions. The research background is rooted in the growing awareness of the significance of health and improved quality of life. The primary aim is to understand how ideal body weight can influence an individual's life expectancy while identifying the impacts of health, genetics, and socioeconomic factors within this relationship. The study employs an interdisciplinary approach, combining health, genetics, and socioeconomic data. The analysis findings will uncover the complex link between ideal body weight and life expectancy. The research will also discuss the effects of health factors like dietary patterns and physical activity, as well as the role of genetics in determining longevity. Additionally, the study will outline the influence of socioeconomic factors such as education and income on life expectancy. By delving into this relationship, the research can offer valuable insights for developing public health policies and better understanding how individuals can achieve longer and higher-quality lives through appropriate weight management while considering the involved health, genetics, and socioeconomic factors.

Abstract

In the context of Indonesia's independent curriculum implementation, this qualitative study investigated the connection between teacher self-improvement and student achievement success. Semi-organized interviews were directed with 50 Indonesian educators, and the information was analyzed using a topical examination. The discoveries recommend that instructor self-improvement influences the execution of the autonomous educational plan and understudy accomplishment. Time constraints, lack of resources, and motivation were identified as supporting or hindering teacher self-development. It was discovered that the leadership of a school plays a crucial role in encouraging teacher self-development. The study suggests that educators, school administrators, and educational policymakers should encourage and support teacher self-development to improve school teaching and learning. Both the effects of teacher self-development on other outcomes and the obstacles and facilitators to teacher self-development require additional research.
