Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, student learning activities concerning learning interests gradually decreased. As a result, various efforts are needed to increase students' motivation in every learning activity. This study aims to describe the application of educators' roles (didactic, reflective, affective roles) and to discover the inhibiting factors educators face to enhance motivation to learn social science. The approach used in this study was a descriptive qualitative approach. The data sources in this study included primary sources interviewed. Meanwhile, secondary sources were the documents obtained at the research sites. These data were collected by conducting observation, interviews, and documentation. The study results indicate that the educators used learning resources such as textbooks and worksheets. The technique to deliver the materials was summarizing the materials in the form of Word/PDF or explaining the materials through voice notes. The instructional media used by the educators were pictures, WhatsApp, E-learning, and Google Forms. The educators implemented the scientific learning approach in applying for the reflective role. The instructional models adopted by the educators were discovery learning and problem-based learning. In addition, the educators conducted evaluations at the beginning or end of learning to determine the level of success. The educators provided good examples and continuous advice in applying for the affective role. The inhibiting factors faced by the educators include lack of learning interest, difficulty understanding the material and financial constraints, and inadequate school facilities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a lack of interest in learning and student learning outcomes at SMPN 2 Kalidawir Tulungagung and prefers activities outside the classroom rather than in the classroom, so it requires special attention from teachers and parents to provide extra education for children to be interested in participating. lessons in school. The purposes of this study are 1) To find out the significant effect of the resource-based learning model on students' learning interest at SMPN 2 Kalidawir Tulungagung 2022/2023. 2) To find out the significant effect of the resource-based learning model on student learning outcomes at SMPN 2 Kalidawir Tulungagung 2022/2023. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with Quasi Experimental quantitative research. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMPN 2 Kalidawir, Tulungagung. The samples of this study were 30 students in class VIII A and class VIII B consisting of 30 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique used is the two-sample T-test (Independent Sample T Test). The results showed that 1) the Learning Model had a significant effect on Social Studies Class VIII Students' Interests at SMPN 2 Kalidawir Tulungagung 2022/2023, as evidenced by the acquisition of tcount -2,667 > ttable 2,002, meanwhile the results obtained Sig. (2-sided) is 0.011. Because the value of Sig. 0.011 < significant level ((= 0.05) then Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted. 2) The Learning Model has a significant effect on Social Studies Learning Outcomes for Class VIII Students of SMPN 2 Kalidawir Tulungagung 2022/2023, as evidenced by the acquisition of tcount -3.002 > ttable 2.002, Meanwhile, Sig. (2-sided) is 0.004. Because the value of Sig. 0.004 < significant level ((= 0.05) then Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of interest in student learning in the social studies subject of SMPN 3 Kedungwaru Tulungagung students, where there is an unpreparedness in learning and a lack of support from the school environment and family environment. The existence of this background requires attention and motivation to learn from the school and family so that students have a high interest in learning. The focus of the research in this thesis are: 1) What are the social studies teacher's efforts to increase student learning interest in social science subjects for class VIII students at SMP 3 Kedungwaru Tulungagung, 2) What are the supporting factors of social science teachers in increasing student learning interest in the subject social science lessons for class VIII students at SMP 3 Kedungwaru Tulungagung, and 3) What are the obstacles and solutions for IPS teachers in increasing student learning interest in social science subjects for class VIII students at SMPN 3 Kedungwaru Tulungagung. The objectives of this research are 1) to explain how social studies efforts increase students' interest in learning in social studies subjects for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Kedungwaru Tulungagung, 2) to find out the supporting factors for social studies teachers in increasing interest in learning students in Social Sciences class VIII students at SMP Negri 3 Kedungwaru Tulungagung and 3) To find out social studies teacher's obstacles and solutions in increasing student learning interest in Social Sciences class VIII students at SMP Negri 3 Kedungwaru Tulungagung. In this study used a qualitative descriptive research method. Data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. Observations were made to find out more closely about the object being researched, interviews were used to find out or find problems openly at SMP Negeri 3 Kedungwaru Tulungagung, while documentation was used to collect data by investigating existing documents and was a place for prepare a number of data so that researchers get the maximum information that can correctly describe the condition of the object under study. The results of this study indicate that the social studies teacher's efforts to increase student learning interest in social studies class VII at SMP Negri 3 Kedungwaru Tulunggung use 3 techniques, namely: Using learning methods such as lecture methods, group discussions, diagnostic assessments and skills training methods. The second uses the map learning model, collaborative learning, contextual learning. Third Use learning media such as: Interactive PPT, audio media, picture media and map and globe media. Supporting factors for Social Studies teachers in increasing student learning interest in Social Sciences subject class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kedungwaru Tulungagung namely: School programs, Facilities that support student learning include: Libraries, Classrooms, Laboratories and Classrooms. Obstacles and Social studies teachers' solutions in increasing student learning interest in social science subjects for class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kedungwaru Tulungagung can be grouped into two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors come from within the students themselves, external factors consist of teachers, parents, peers. The solution to overcome these obstacles is to provide motivation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the observation data that the researchers did that social studies learning is still low in achievement because it is not appropriate to choose the method in conveying the material. Learning using the brainstorming method, which was carried out at SMP "Empat Lima" Karanggeneng Lamongan, was assessed as being able to improve learning achievement. The goal is to know the steps, supporting factors, accelerating factors, and the impact of applying the brainstorming method. The method used is the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques are using interviews, documentation and observation. The benefit of research is that students can improve their achievement. Students can convey ideas and new solutions according to the material, which can increase self-confidence. The research was conducted at SMP "Empat Lima" Karanggeneng Lamongan in class VIII with a total of 17 students. The brainstorming method is a method in which students are trained to be able to provide opinions and solutions, and students are given breadth without any criticism or objection. This brainstorming method is suitable for use in social studies lessons, especially at the junior high school level. The brainstorming method can improve learning achievement because students can obtain new information and knowledge from seeking references so that students can think creatively and innovatively, and it can also increase students' self-confidence. The steps of the brainstorming method properly and correctly can increase student achievement. Learning the brainstorming method also has supporting factors, boosters and a positive impact on students.

Abstract

Perkembangan pemanfaatan inovasi sistem informasi geografis di Indonesia semaik baik, yang sekaligus membantu memudahkan Pemerintah dalam merumuskan kebijakan pembangunan. Pemanfaatan aplikasi sistem informasi geografi (SIG) dapat digunakan dalam bidang pemetaan batas wilayah, kebencanaan, perencanaan tata ruang, maupun pemodelan. Indonesia merupakan salah satu Negara yang memiliki tingkat risiko bencana alam tinggi, seperti banjir, tanah longsor, kebakaran, gunung meletus, Tsunami, dll. Faktor kondisi geologis yang sebagai penyebabnya. mulai dari letak Negara Indonesia yang berada diantara lempeng Indo-Australia dan lempeng Eurasia serta lempeng pasifik. Kondisi ini seringkali menyebabkan adanya aktifitas lempeng yang aktif dan mengkibatkan adanya gempa bumi tektonik. Dampak gempak gempa bumi di Indonesia pada kawasan pesisir sering mengakibatkan timbulnya bencana gelombang tinggi Tsunami. Tujuan penelitian, (1) mengidentifikasi bentuk tipologi kepesisiran, (2) menganalisis tingkat bahaya dan keterpaparan pemukiman di kawasan pesisir. Metode penelitian ini melakukan pengamatan observasi lapangan dan pemodelan data spasial sistem informai geografis dan analisa data menggunakan analisa data spasial dan pembobotan penskoran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tipologi kawasan wilayah pesisir didominasi tipologi pesisir yang berbentuk teluk. Pemukiman dan sangat dekat dengan garis pantai serta topografi wilayah yang datar menjadikan wilayah pemukiman di pesisir Pantai Sine memiliki tingkat bahaya risiko bencana Tsunami yang tinggi. Selain itu, jenis pemukiman serta kepadatan pemukiman juga menjadi faktor kerentanan yang tinggi. Kata kunci: Tipologi Pesisir, Bahaya, Risiko, Bencana Tsunami, Pesisir Sine
