Abstract

Persaingan industri menuntut perusahaan untuk berkembang dan meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas produksi. Salah satu produsen produk kayu decking yaitu PT. Cahaya Niaga Persada. Selama produksi, perusahaan menemukan banyak masalah yang mungkin menghalanginya memenuhi permintaan. Pengurangan pemborosan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi pemborosan adalah dengan implemetasi metodologi lean manufacturing. Setelah mengidentifikasi pemborosan menggunakan kuesioner, dilakukan pemetaan komprehensif dan penyebab mendasar. Menurut brainstorming dengan perusahaan, waiing (27.78%), dengan pemetaan Aktivitas Proses (PAM) menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas delay menyumbang 45% dari aktivitas proses. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pada waktu proses produksi decking dari sebelum dilakukan perbaikan total waktu sebesar 23279,9 menit, dan setelah dilakukan perbaikan menjadi 21589,23menit yang berarti terdapat peningkatan sebesar 1690.7menit atau 28,178jam dalam sekali proses produksi.

Abstract

PT. XYZ beroperasi sebagai distributor gas LPG di Kota Gresik. Aktivitas utama prosedur operasional perusahaan adalah bongkar muat gas LPG. Berdasarkan observasi lapangan diketahui banyak peralatan yang digunakan untuk prosedur bongkar muat. Namun demikian, banyak instrumen yang tidak memiliki lokasi penyimpanan khusus, sehingga sering kali menghambat aktivitas pekerja untuk menemukan atau menyimpan peralatannya. Hal ini dapat berdampak terhadap lamanya prosedur bongkar muat dikarenakan pekerja sering mencari peralatan di area yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metodologi 5S (seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, shitsuke) guna mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan ruang dan FMEA untuk menentukan prioritas perbaikan beserta solusinya. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua variabel 5S memiliki nilai yang cukup tinggi dengan kerentanan berkisar antara 41% hingga 60%. Sedangkan analisis FMEA menunjukkan Seiri memiliki nilai RPN tertinggi. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting untuk memprioritaskan tindakan perbaikan dengan meminta personel terkait secara pribadi memeriksa area kerja dan mengawasi pekerjaan saat berada di area kerja.

Abstract

UD.XYZ is a songkok product manufacturing company headquartered in Gresik City. The company is still facing some shortcomings in its products. Therefore, companies must ensure stable product quality and reduce the risk of errors. When faced with a situation like this, quality control is very necessary to reduce the error rate and ensure that it does not exceed predetermined limits. In this research, FMEA and FTA methods were used. Implementing FMEA helps identify risks of error during the carpet manufacturing process. By using FMEA, defects that cause product failure can be identified and the risk of process failure assessed using the RPN value. The fault with the highest RPN will be analyzed in more detail using the FTA method to build a fault tree, from which the root of the problem can be identified. Based on the FTA results, improvement proposals are prepared in the hope of reducing the level of product defects. Research finds that there are three types of defects. The stitching is not neat (RPN=112), the embroidery is not good (RPN=100), and the size is not appropriate (RPN= 90).

Abstract

PT. ABC is a construction company because of the company's expertise in steel processing and construction. Activities such as welding, grinding, cutting and assembling are directly related to the work of these construction services. In this research, the (HIRARC) method was used to carry out risk analysis. The Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method is utilized to recognize stages of hazards. From the outcomes of identifying risk hazards, those linked with each task will be evaluated according to severity and likelihood levels to establish the risk level. This research indicates that in the welding process, there are 4 extreme risk hazards and 1 high-risk hazard. In the grinding process, there are 4 extreme risk hazards and 1 high-risk hazard. In the cutting process, there is 1 extreme risk hazard, 2 high-risk hazards, and 2 moderate-risk hazards. Lastly, in the assembling process, there is 1 extreme risk hazard, 1 high-risk hazard, 1 moderate-risk hazard, and 1 low-risk hazard.

Abstract

As technology develops, demand increases, and the need for production increases, the layout of factory facilities must be evaluated. PT XYZ is a company that focuses on the production of the most comprehensive fertiliser. Therefore, warehouses are needed in large factory areas and well-designed factory facilities to improve performance and customer satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to propose a warehouse facility layout to mnimize material handling distance. To solve this placement problem, this study uses the classbased storage method based on ABC analysis. After making a proposal by changing a little storage area and grouping materials into classes, the ABC classification results obtained were 13 materials for class A, 2 materials for class B and 1 material for class C, and obtained a total displacement distance in the existing layout of 603.2 m and the proposed layout of 529.2 m, a decrease in total distance of 74 m.

Abstract

Product failure is a problem that always exists in the manufacturing industry. This analysis is carried out to determine the types of defects that often arise and the factors that cause product failure that arise that affect product quality at PT. XYZ. This analysis checks the quality control steps carried out in the fiber cement board production process. Aims to determine the cause and effect of production defects at PT. XYZ by using seventools and fmea (Failure Mode and Effect) methods. taken from production data at PT. XYZ in December 2022 – May 2023, with a total production of 1,173,690 pcs and a total number of defects of 72. 848 pcs for six months. The results of the analysis that can be known are the number of types of cracked product defects is the most dominant cacan with a total of 16,307 pcs, the cause of product defects can be caused by machine factors and seen from the results of avoidance the RPN risk priority number is 392.

Abstract

IBS MSME is a business in the field of home industry manufacturing. The products made are baby sofas, baby bedding, etc. By using the main fabric raw materials, namely tetron, cotton, and knitting. However, excessive purchases and material shortages lead to stock of some fabric materials, which makes it difficult to predict future production quantities. This study aims to determine the company's order quantity and total inventory costs with forecasting methods and economic order quantities. In the TIC calculation, the TIC EOQ results obtained have an economic cost for tetron fabric material of Rp. 10.970 while the Company's TIC is Rp. 51.387. The results of forecasting tetron fabric material amounted to 530/m, cotton amounted to 523/m, and knitting amounted to 514/m. While the results of the EOQ calculation obtained the value of tetron fabric material of 50/m, cotton of 50/m, and knitting of 50/m.

Abstract

IBS MSME is a home industry that produces baby sofas, baby bedding, and other products using cotton fabric as raw materials. The fabric cutting process often results in defects, which can occur due to several factors, including machine-related problems. A study was conducted to evaluate the performance of the cutting machine using the OEE and FMEA methods. The OEE analysis showed a score of 81.56%, below the desired standard of 85%. In addition, the study identified six major losses, including breakdowns, tuning and adjustment, speed drop, production stoppage, and defects. FMEA analysis showed a Risk Priority Number (RPN) of 392 due to a lack of focus and understanding on human factors. To improve the effectiveness of MSME IBS, corrective actions are needed in terms of machine maintenance and labor vigilance.

Abstract

A crucial part of a company's logistics system is the warehouse. Warehouse operations are critical and must be given attention. An ideal warehouse layout can improve the orderliness of product storage. PT. XYZ, a fertilizer manufacturing company, faced a challenge in retrieving products from storage. This research aims to propose a more efficient warehouse layout through ABC analysis to categorize products into 3 classes and the Class Based Storage method to divide storage areas and material placement. Based on the calculations, Class A consists of 4 product categories, Class B of 3, and Class C of 1. With the Class Based Storage method, the distance in the existing layout was 688.552 meters, while in the proposed layout, it decreased to 517.896 meters, resulting in a total distance reduction of 170.656 meters.

Abstract

CV. NKM is a supplier company that takes manufacturing plant waste in the form of sawdust, especially waste from merbau wood, sent to factories whose main raw material is sawdust such as pallet factories, briquettes, etc. In every process there are defects such as powder mixed with other sizes, smelly and moldy powder, and wet powder. In every process there are defects such as powder mixed with other sizes, smelly and moldy powder, and wet powder.  These defects are due to human factors, tools/machines, storage, etc. So this research was conducted using the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect) method used to determine the severity, occurrence, and detection levels, so that the highest RPN value of 576 was obtained, namely powder mixed with other sizes and FTA produced basic events from the highest RPN value, namely lack of rest hours, lack of supervision, and lack of routine control. After the results are known, an improvement proposal will be given for the highest RPN value, namely providing sufficient hours of rest and enforcing routine control of the tool/machine.
