Abstract

The main objective in this study was to determine the Relationship Analysis of Nurse Executor Behavior towards Completing the Inpatient Daily Census at Wulan Windy General Hospital. The research method used was quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The research location was at Windy Wulan General Hospital. The study population was all executive nurses in the inpatient unit at Wulan Windy General Hospital and a sample of 63 people. The results showed a variable relationship between knowledge, attitude, workload, and career development towards filling the daily census of hospitalization with p sig <0.05. It is expected for the general hospital wulan windy to do planning, controlling, evaluating the filling of the daily census carried out every day, providing continuous training and socialization about filling the inpatient daily census so as to get more professional paramedics, and it is expected for the hospital to be able to continue to provide opportunities for executive nurses to improve their careers, especially in the nursing field, in order to support their performance at work.

Abstract

The issue of improving the quality of health services is a major focus for hospitals in their efforts to provide effective, efficient, and patient-safety-oriented services. One important indicator in improving the quality of nursing services is the process of completing the initial patient assessment, as this stage forms the basis for planning and implementing further nursing actions. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that influence the initial assessment process at Putri Hijau Hospital in Medan in 2022. The research method used was quantitative with an analytical survey approach and a cross-sectional design. The research population included 135 nurses working in the inpatient ward, while the research sample consisted of 57 nurses selected using incidental sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using a structured questionnaire that measured the variables of nurses' abilities, skills, attitudes, and motivation. The data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the Chi-Square statistical test to determine the relationship between variables. The results showed that the factors of competence and skills (p = 0.002), attitude (p = 0.000), and motivation (p = 0.013) had a significant effect on the completeness and accuracy of the initial assessment of inpatients. These findings illustrate that nurses with high technical competence, positive attitudes, and strong motivation are better able to carry out initial assessments quickly and accurately. Based on these results, it is recommended that hospital management improve continuing education programs, conduct regular supervision, and provide performance-based rewards to strengthen nurses' motivation and professionalism in carrying out optimal initial assessments of patients.

Abstract

Pendahuluan Pemberian informed consent merupakan bagian penting dalam pelayanan medis yang menekankan hak pasien untuk mendapatkan informasi secara jelas sebelum tindakan medis dilakukan. Namun, tingkat pemahaman pasien terhadap informed consent seringkali masih rendah, yang dapat disebabkan oleh kurang efektifnya edukasi pra-tindakan yang diberikan. Tujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh edukasi pra-tindakan terhadap pemahaman pasien tentang informed consent di Rumah Sakit Khusus mata Medan Baru, Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Pre Experimental Design, One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Responden pasien yang melakukan tindakan medis dengan jumlah 100 responden, Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan pada variabel materi dimana nilai rata-rata sebelum diberikan pemahaman Informed consent 1.40 dan sesudah diberikan meningkat menjadi 1.58 dengan nilai p=0.010 < P= 0.05. Variable waktu dengan nilai rata-rata sebelum diberikan pemahaman Informed consent 1.45 setelah diberikan meningkat menjadi 1.64 dengan nilai p= 0.013 < p= 0.05. Variabel media sebelum diberi pemahaman Informed consent dengan nilai rata-rata 1.40 setalah diberikan meningkat 1.55 dengan nilai p=0.016 < p=0.05. Variabel metode sebelum diberi pemahaman Informed consent dengan nilai rata-rata 1.40 setelah diberikan meningkat 1.58 dengan nilai p=0.015 < P= 0.05. Kesimpulan hubungan antara edukasi pra-tindakan dan pemahaman informed consent bersifat signifikan, yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik edukasi diberikan, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat pemahaman pasien mengenai informed consent. Saran menjadikan edukasi pra-tindakan sebagai prosedur wajib yang dilakukan secara sistematis dan terdokumentasi sebelum tindakan medis. Dan meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi, menggunakan metode edukasi yang sesuai dengan latar belakang pasien, serta memastikan bahwa informasi yang diberikan benar-benar dipahami oleh pasien sebelum menandatangani informed consent.
