Abstract

Students' mathematical problem-solving skills remain a critical challenge in junior high school education, with only 5% of students able to solve problems effectively. This difficulty is compounded by abstract learning materials and a lack of engaging, culturally relevant learning media. This research project aims to develop an adventure game learning medium set in the context of Maritime Malay culture to enhance junior high school students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the learning media. This study employed the ADDIE research method, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study were 35 eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 1 Tanjungpinang. The instruments used were validation, practicality, and media effectiveness sheets. Data analysis techniques use both qualitative and quantitative methods. The material expert validation results showed an average assessment of 85.6%, indicating very valid criteria. The practicality results from the student-teacher trial showed 86.5% practicality, with very practical criteria. Furthermore, the product's effectiveness, measured using the N-Gain score, obtained a value of 0.61. Based on the data obtained, adventure games with a maritime Malay cultural context that improve mathematical problem-solving skills in junior high school students meet the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, making them suitable for use as learning media in the mathematics learning process.

Abstract

In some cases, corruption has the potential to develop into money laundering, which will complicate the performance of law enforcement officers to track suspicious financial transactions and save assets suspected of belonging to the state. In response to this problem, the replacement money payment system is carried out by law enforcement officers. However, based on the results of the investigation, the implementation of replacement money payments for the recovery of state financial losses is considered ineffective and inefficient at the application and execution stages. Therefore, a legal breakthrough is needed in the form of the use of penal mediation as an effort to maximize state financial recovery. The purpose of this study is to identify the problems of recovering state financial losses due to corruption in Indonesia and the application of the victim offender mediation system based models to recovering state financial losses due to corruption in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that the alternative nature contained in the construction of Article 18 of Law. No. 31 of 1999 has the potential to result in efforts to recover state financial losses being less than optimal and effective, this is due to the tendency of perpetrators to avoid responsibility for paying replacement money. The application of SBM VOM to recovering state financial losses can be done by accommodating the concept of PB in positive law in Indonesia. This research is a normative legal research using 3 approaches, namely the statutory approach (Statute Approach), the conceptual approach (Conceptual Approach) and the comparative approach (Comparative Approach).

Abstract

This study examines the quasi-judicial authority of the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) in handling administrative violations and disputes related to the electoral process, using das sollen and fiqh siyasah as the analytical framework. Bawaslu’s authority is formally designed to reinforce legal certainty, yet its implementation still reveals significant imbalances. Evidence from practice shows inconsistencies between the normative dimension (das sollen) and the empirical reality (das sein), indicating that Bawaslu’s institutional role as a quasi-judicial body continues to leave room for suboptimal law enforcement. The research applies a normative-comparative approach with case studies in Indonesia, Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Philippines. The analysis highlights the urgency of reconstructing Indonesia’s electoral legal system, particularly Article 462 of Law No. 7 of 2017 on General Elections, so that Bawaslu’s decisions acquire executorial power. Comparative findings reveal that Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Philippines have independent and robust electoral courts whose rulings are final and binding. Viewed from the perspective of fiqh siyasah, electoral justice is not limited to legal-formal mechanisms but also encompasses substantive justice that fulfills the function of hisbah (oversight) and safeguards the constitutional rights of citizens (hifz al-huquq).

Abstract

Corruption, as an extraordinary crime, necessitates the application of a reversed burden of proof mechanism. However, its procedural implementation remains problematic and potentially infringes upon the rights of the accused. The urgency of this study lies in the need for a balanced legal reformulation, one that strengthens the effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts while upholding the Islamic conception of justice, particularly the principle of ḥifẓ al-māl (protection of wealth) as an essential element of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah. This research analyzes theories of criminal evidence, the presumption of innocence, and the balanced probability principle, and further compares them with legal practices in other jurisdictions. The study employs a normative-juridical method combined with statutory, case, comparative, sociological, and futuristic approaches. Primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials are examined through deductive and inductive reasoning. The findings reveal the necessity of legal reconstruction of Article 37 of the Anti-Corruption Law and Article 77 of the Anti-Money Laundering Law to address legal gaps and to provide procedural guidelines for the application of the reversed burden of proof by prosecutors, defendants, and judges. The existing mechanism lacks standardized evidentiary parameters, resulting in an imbalance between the prosecution and the defense. Instruments such as the State Officials’ Wealth Report (LHKPN) have the potential to strengthen evidentiary processes, yet remain underutilized. Therefore, a legal reformulation is required to establish clear procedural guidelines that integrate the balanced probability principle with the values of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah. The study recommends revising the Anti-Corruption Law, synchronizing it with the new Criminal Code, and enhancing justice- and welfare-oriented legal instruments.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between health dynamics and labor force participation (LFP) in Indonesia, utilizing nationally representative panel data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (Waves 3–5, 2000–2014). Employing fixed-effects and random-effects logistic regression models, we analyze the impact of health status and health shocks on LFP and examine the moderating roles of wealth and gender in this relationship. Key findings reveal a significant health premium, but one that is unequally distributed: good health increases the probability of LFP by 39.8 percentage points for men but only 15.1 percentage points for women, underscoring substantial gendered constraints. Furthermore, health shocks reduce LFP by approximately 55%, yet household wealth alone fails to buffer this negative effect. Urban-rural disparities in the health-LFP link are statistically insignificant, indicating that vulnerability is geographically widespread. Collectively, these results challenge the sufficiency of traditional coping mechanisms and underscore the urgent need for proactive, gender-sensitive social protection policies designed to mitigate health-related productivity losses. This research advances human capital theory by quantifying the gendered returns to health and the limitations of passive wealth buffers, providing an empirical foundation for targeted policy innovation in Indonesia.

Abstract

Sukaraja III’s reservoir is one of reservoir that is usefull to irrigate rice fields in Rawa Sragi II.  To optimize inflow and storage of Sukaraja III’s reservoir, simulation is needed to obtain how many area can be irrigated by optimize the objection function of reservoir. This study was conducted at Sukaraja village, and Negeri Jemanten, Margatiga District, East Lampung Regency. In this study, there’re three analysis, analysis of inflow, analysis of outflow and analysis about water balance. Analysis of inflow use Argoguruh’s weir discharge data 2005-2012. Analysis of inflow include Argoguruh’s weir runoff discharge and discharge of watershed Sukaraja III’s dam. Analysis of inflow include evaporation, maintenance flow, and water needs of the irrigation. Analysis about water balance is used to know how much the volume of reservoir which affected by inflow and outflow. Next, do the simulation to get the maximum area of field with meet two requirements. Reservoir water level should always be above 18 meters and must meet 80% reliability. From the analysis, the result for the largest total inflow in 2005 and the smallest total inflow occurred in 2006. Outflow for each year is different because it is influenced by planting different beginning period, the beginning of January and the beginning of December, and evaporation which caused by total area of reservoir inundation. Fields which can be irrigated with initial period of planting in early January is 4739 ha, and fields which can be irrigated with initial period of planting in early December is 5600 ha. This simulation meets 100% reliability and reservoir water level is always above 18 meters. Key word: simulation, inflow, outflow

Abstract

Background: Patient safety` culture in Indonesia is regulated through ministerial policies emphasizing leadership, teamwork, and staff support. Despite initiatives such as HSOPSC and SAQ, implementation remains partial, with strengths in leadership and teamwork but weaknesses in incident reporting and communication. Leadership, knowledge, attitudes, motivation, and communication significantly influence safety culture outcomes. Purpose: To analyze the dominant factors related to patient safety culture. Method: Correlation research design with cross-sectional and analysis approaches was conducted at Batang Hari Hospital from February – March 2025. A simple random sampling technique was applied, yielding a final sample of 99 respondents. Data collection was conducted using a structured questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using the chi-square test with a 95% confidence level, where p-values below 0.05 indicated statistical significance. Multivariate analysis was subsequently performed through binary logistic regression with a stepwise approach Results: Leadership, knowledge, attitude, motivation, and communication in relation to patient safety culture yielded p-values less than 0.05. The dominant factors in patient safety implementation culture are leadership (p=0.045), knowledge (p=0.000), and communication (p=0.017). Conclusion: There is a relationship between leadership, knowledge, attitude, motivation, communication and patient safety culture. Knowledge emerges as the most dominant factors in the implementation of patient safety culture.
