Abstract

The development of information technology continues to increase and has reached all levels of society, including the younger generation. This generation is present as a cohort with superior personalities and the ability to comprehend knowledge and technology, enabling them to compete locally and globally. Technological advancements also catalyze innovations, fostering creativity in the economic and business fields. SMA PGRI Gumelar is a private school in Gumelar District, Banyumas Regency, which offers various life skill activities such as graphic design, foreign languages, photography, videography, and more. However, the existing activities have not yet yielded works that can be marketed internationally. This service aims to optimize graphic design life skills training for students so that they can produce work that is marketable on overseas platforms, namely Envato. This marketplace has specific standards for works that will be sold; therefore, education and assistance are provided to enhance motivation for digital media-based entrepreneurship in the international market. This beginner community service activity will be conducted from July to October 2023 at SMA PGRI Gumelar. The outcome of this activity will be graphic design work ready to be uploaded to the Envato marketplace. Based on the results of the questionnaire distributed to participants, there was an increase in motivation as a designpreneur, increasing by 35%, Figma skills increasing by 45% and Photoshop skills increasing by 35%. Another output of this project is a graphic design tutorial book with an ISBN number

Abstract

Students' awareness of disposing of waste in designated bins remains a challenge in creating a clean and healthy school environment. This study aims to design and develop an Arduino-based automatic smart trash bin equipped with a water dispenser reward system to encourage students to dispose of waste properly. The system uses a sensor to detect waste deposited into the bin, while the Arduino processes the input signal and activates a water pump to dispense drinking water automatically for a predetermined duration. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, including needs analysis, hardware and software design, implementation, testing, and system evaluation. Testing was conducted at SMP Andalusia Kebasen by evaluating the accuracy of waste detection, dispenser response, and user feedback. The results showed that the proposed system operated according to the design with a high success rate in waste detection and dispenser activation. In addition to improving waste disposal practices, the system provided an interactive learning experience that encouraged students to develop greater discipline in maintaining environmental cleanliness. Therefore, the Arduino-based automatic smart trash bin integrated with a reward system has the potential to serve as an effective educational medium for fostering environmental awareness and responsible waste disposal behavior among junior high school students.

Abstract

Equipment inventory management for Karang Taruna (Youth Organization) activities in RW 01 Sokaraja Kidul has been done manually, often leading to problems such as disorganized data, difficulty in retrieval of information, and the potential for data loss or inconsistencies. This research aims to design and develop an Android-based application that can facilitate more effective and efficient data collection, management, and inventory monitoring.The methods used in this research include data collection through observation and interviews, followed by system design using a software development model approach. The developed application has key features such as item recording, inventory grouping, loan and return recording, and digital report presentation.The results of this study indicate that the Android-based inventory application can improve data management, accelerate information retrieval, and minimize recording errors. With this system, it is hoped that the administrative activities of Karang Taruna (Youth Organization) in RW 01 Sokaraja Kidul will be more orderly, transparent, and structured.

Abstract

Employee discipline is one of the key success factors in a company. Work discipline has an important role in the formation of a positive work environment. One of the things that shows employee discipline is the time of attendance. Attendance time is usually recorded at the time the employee enters and leaves. Disciplinary information can be mapped into several groupings so that it is easy for decision makers to read. One of the computational methods that can perform data mapping is the K-Means Clustering method. The K-Means Clustering method can group data based on their characteristics. In this study, attendance data were analyzed using the K-Means method to obtain disciplinary groupings. The number of Clusters is calculated using the elbow method, 3 Clusters are obtained which are the best Cluster choices, namely Clusters 0, 1, and 2. The data analysis process shows Cluster 2 is the Cluster with the best level of discipline. From the analysis, it shows that the K-Means Clustering method can classify data based on employee discipline. Based on these results, decision makers can be helped in assessing employee discipline at Universita Harapan Bangsa using the disciplinary data grouping that has been made.
