Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of guidance and counseling teachers in forming the disciplined character of students at SMK Ma'arif Nu 1 Purbolinggo. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Researchers used data collection methods in the form of interviews and documentation of determining informants in this study using purposive sampling techniques. The informants in this research were student representatives, homeroom teachers, guidance and counseling teachers and one student in class Guidance and counseling teachers collaborate with student representatives, homeroom teachers, and parents to solve problems of students who lack discipline. Students who lack discipline are given individual counseling services and guidance and counseling teachers also make visits to students' homes to find out the factors causing the students' lack of discipline and discuss student problems at school with the students' parents.

Abstract

Early childhood children generally spend more time playing than studying. This will certainly impact children's learning activities. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of parents in accompanying early childhood learning activities. This type of research is field research using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. In analyzing the data, the researcher used three stages: reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on the results of this study, parents play a very important role in supporting early childhood learning activities, including instilling habits in everyday life, such as teaching children to respect others. Furthermore, supporting and inhibiting factors for parents when accompanying children include: implementing the learning provided by teachers at school, and parents' lack of patience when accompanying children in learning activities at home.
