Abstract

This study intends to create digital comic resources to enhance scientific understanding among fifth-grade learners at MI Al-Washliyah Perbutulan. The motivation behind this research stems from students' enthusiasm for science literacy and the insufficient availability of varied media, particularly digital options. The methodology followed is Research and Development (RandD) using the ADDIE development framework, which includes five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection tools include validation surveys from experts, student feedback, and assessments of science literacy through pretests and posttests. Findings indicated that the digital comic resources produced were deemed valid with ratings of 97% from media specialists, 97% from subject matter specialists, and 75% from language experts. The comics’ practicality was rated at 88%, classified as practical for educational purposes, and they proved effective in enhancing students' scientific literacy, demonstrated by a 0. 66 increase in the N-Gain score, which is considered quite effective. These materials were created using digital platforms like Pixton and Canva, making them easily accessible and engaging for students. Therefore, digital comics are appropriate as a technology-driven educational resource to boost scientific literacy in elementary education.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning media in the form of a digital pop-up book to enhance the communication skills of elementary school students in the subject of IPAS. Communication skills are important to instill from an early age as they are related to the self-confidence and social relationships of students with both peers and teachers. The digital pop-up book medium was chosen due to its visual, audio, and animation advantages that can attract learning interest and provide an interactive learning experience. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The media was developed using PowerPoint and Canva, and then validated by experts in content, media, and language. Implementation was carried out at SDN Dukuh Semar 1 in Cirebon City with subjects from grade IV. The validation results show that this media is very suitable for use, with a feasibility percentage of 78-87%. The media is not only visually and content-wise appealing, but also encourages students to actively speak and express their opinions. The Wilcoxon test results indicated a significance value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. The N-Gain test shows an average improvement of 0.77 (high category), proving the effectiveness of the media in enhancing students' communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Savi learning model assisted by mind mapping media on the interest in learning science for fourth grade students at MI Miftahul Ulum Karangsari. Using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, this study involved two groups, namely the experimental group that applied the Savi learning model and the control group that used the conventional learning model. Data collection used observation and questionnaires. The results showed that the Savi learning model had a significant positive impact on increasing students' interest in learning. The experimental group showed an interest in learning of (average 45.6) compared to the control group showing an interest in learning of (average 38.4). This shows the potential to increase interest in learning science using the Savi learning model assisted by mind mapping media.

Abstract

The 21st century competency that students must have is collaboration skills. Students' collaboration skills in grade IV, especially in science subjects, are still low and also still use conventional learning, namely lectures, in which the teacher is more active in the learning process. Therefore, an interesting learning model or media is needed, to overcome this problem, researchers used the Investigation Based Science Collaborative (IBSC) model assisted by Qreatif Educative game learning media which was designed by integrating investigative and collaborative approaches with the aim of facilitating students in collaborating and communicating. This study aims to (1) determine the effect of the Investigation Based Science Collaborative (IBSC) learning model assisted by Qreatif Educative game learning media on students' collaboration skills in grade IV MIN 1 Cirebon (2) determine the differences in collaboration skills in grade IV MIN 1 Cirebon. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The subjects used in this study were class IV A with 28 students and VB with 29 students. Data collection techniques used in this study were collaboration skills questionnaires, observation and documentation. The results of this study showed a significant difference between collaboration skills in the experimental class and the control class, namely 0.014 < 0.05. This proves that the IBSC model assisted by Qreatif Educative games learning media has a positive influence on students' collaboration skills.
