Abstract

The rapid development of technology implementation in the educational processes has brought benefits and challenges, especially for university students. These challenges would then cause students to experience technostress, which might lead to cyberslacking behavior in the classroom. Meanwhile, study on technostress and cyberslacking still needs to be expanded, especially among emerging adults. The emerging adult developmental stage requires tasks that could also lead to stress. Therefore, this research aimed to investigate the influence of technostress on cyberslacking among emerging adult university students. The current study surveyed 121 emerging adult university students using an online questionnaire. Participants completed the demographic scale, the Technostress scale, and the Cyberslacking scale. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) technique. Results showed a slight trend toward the significance of technostress in predicting cyberslacking behavior among emerging adult university students. Nevertheless, this study contributes to the currently limited studies on technostress and cyberslacking. Further suggestions include operationalizing the technostress definition and involving additional possible mediator variables.

Abstract

Family resilience is an aspect that can improve well-being and attachment between family members. Of course, every family cannot be separated from conflict, and how to resolve conflict is important so that there is no family division. One way to strengthen family resilience is through counseling. To support this, the Surabaya city government developed PUSPAGA (Family Learning Center) as a form of policy to provide free counseling services for Surabaya residents. However, until now, the effectiveness of this service program has not been examined further. Therefore, this study aims to explore the effectiveness of the counseling service program provided at PUSPAGA. The research used a qualitative case study design with observation and interview data collection techniques. Interview data were collected from three clients and one officer at PUSPAGA. Data were analyzed using data triangulation through observation, interviews, and literature review. The results found that the counseling provided at PUSPAGA was considered satisfactory by clients and was able to support family resilience in dealing with conflict. This research is expected to provide a more in-depth picture of the importance of conflict in family resilience, especially in the services provided by PUSPAGA.

Abstract

This study explores the role of the Savy Amira Women’s Crisis Center (WCC), a non-governmental organization in Surabaya, in supporting women victims of domestic violence. Using qualitative methods, including documentary analysis, interviews, and field observations conducted during a six-month internship, the research reveals how WCC provides trauma-informed and victim-centered services that integrate psychological and legal support. The 2024 report indicates that most reported cases involved psychological, sexual, physical, and economic violence, primarily affecting women aged 25–40 who are economically dependent on perpetrators. WCC’s approach emphasizes confidentiality, emotional safety, and empowerment, tailoring recovery plans to individual needs. The institution also facilitates community outreach and peer support groups to foster resilience and reduce stigma. Findings highlight WCC’s effectiveness in building trust, ensuring confidentiality, and promoting social reintegration through accessible and responsive services. This study affirms the essential contribution of community-based institutions like WCC in advancing protection, empowerment, and systemic change for victims of domestic violence in Indonesia.

Abstract

Child marriage remains a pressing issue in Indonesia, particularly in traditional communities such as Tuban Regency, East Java. This study explores the role of PUSPAGA (Family Learning Center) as a government initiative in reducing the incidence of child marriage through premarital counseling for marriage dispensation applicants. Using a qualitative case study method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation at the Department of Social Affairs, Women’s Empowerment, and Child Protection in Tuban. Findings reveal that most applicants are aged 15–18 and have low educational backgrounds, with economic hardship, premarital pregnancy, and cultural norms being the main drivers of early marriage. PUSPAGA plays a crucial role in assessing the readiness of prospective underage couples and educating families about the psychological, social, and legal consequences of early marriage. The counseling process also serves as a social intervention that challenges patriarchal values and strengthens family resilience. The study underscores the importance of preventive psychosocial services in protecting children’s rights and promoting gender-sensitive development.

Abstract

Psychosocial services play a crucial role in supporting children who are victims of sexual abuse (CSA), particularly in areas with high case numbers such as Bandar Lampung. This paper discusses the psychological and social consequences of CSA on victims aged 4–17 years, emphasizing the prevalence of emotional disturbances such as anxiety, PTSD, and low self-esteem. Using qualitative methods through interviews and observations at the UPTD PPA Bandar Lampung, findings indicate that most victims come from lower economic backgrounds, with girls aged 6–12 being the most affected. The perpetrator-victim relationship is often close, involving neighbors, caregivers, or acquaintances. The discussion integrates theories such as attribution, bystander effect, conformity, sexism, and gender roles to understand community responses and systemic challenges. Additionally, the media’s role in desensitization and the need for comprehensive sex education are emphasized. Psychosocial services, especially those involving family, legal support, and therapeutic counseling, are essential for child recovery and community prevention efforts.

Abstract

Screening and rehabilitation intervention activities for students with drug abuse constitute a program implemented by Bidang Rehabilitasi Badan Narkotika Nasional Provinsi Jawa Timur. This research aims to understand the experience of screening and rehabilitation activities conducted among school student groups and primary clinic rehabilitation clients. This study employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through interview and observation methods involving eight school students and young addiction counselors, as weel as previous research to support data validity. Case analysis used Brofenbrenner’s Ecological Theory to understand various relational contexts and their influence in shaping individuals. The study found that family environment factors, such as parenting styles and drug use within the family, are significant causes of drug abuse behavior among students. Additionally, the school environment, peer influence, and the normalization of deviant culture contribute to the emergence of negative drug abuse behavior among adolescents. Strengthening coordination between BNNP Jawa Timur, schools, families, and the social community is necessary to build a comprehensive support system.
